DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

I never thought a designer for any of the sets would ever reply to me, now I feel terrible. But that's insanely cool how you were able to design the original concept. I guess my frustration was just towards the fact that we keep getting the same all black Batsuit (even if it's the updated version) instead of something like the amazing 40453 accessory pack Batsuit/Jim Lee Hush Batsuit/the modernized 2006 Batsuit that has recently shot up in value to an insane degree because it only ever appeared in that one pack in 2021. Surely Lego must know that we'd all love another Batman minifigure like that instead of having the same one repeated over and over again (it was even in the Asylum D2C, like come on). The Bruce Wayne minifigure being a parts reuse is a bit of a let down, I was expecting it to be based on the Legacy of The Dark Knight design and not see that same face we've been getting since 2019, but that minifigure's much more easier to fix since we have far more superior head choices. Add on to the fact that it comes with the molded white eyes cowl and plastic cape, neither of which appear to be retiring any time soon and have since become the standard cape and cowl pieces instead of the occasional replacements, and I think you can see why I had to vent when I saw the polybag. Lego has to know how tired a lot of people are with these two pieces and how we'd all much prefer the other cowl pieces to return along with the cloth capes, right? I get the reasoning that if we want 2 minifigures, there won't be an exclusive one included. But if I'm being honest, I would've taken one exclusive/rare minifigure like what the Batman 1992 polybag did over 2 minifigures that I can make from my own pieces or I can find in multiple other sets that are still available on shelves any day. Though even after saying all this, I might pick up one or two polybags since the actual build is a cool way to store your different Batsuits. -

And here I was hoping that the Batsuit would be the new updated Battinson minifigure as a tie-in for the game, would've been a great way to get it for cheap. But nope, it's just the same ugly, all black Batsuit with the terrible cowl AND plastic cape to boot, a hat trick of disappointment. Looks like an easy pass for me. -

I can't believe I was expecting something good with this one. I guess those bits of info about it being a "20th anniversary" set was only in regards to ONE SINGLE PIECE because what the actual hell are those minifigures. For a set celebrating 20 years of Lego Batman, you'd think they'd want to include, I don't know, THE 2006 MINIFIGURES?! You take that one round tile out and you wouldn't even be able to tell that this was supposed to be an anniversary set. How does Star Wars get remakes of the original yellow minifigures that look exactly the same as they did in the original 1999 sets but the best DC can do is throw in that same black suited Batman and a lazy, pathetic, gold variant and call it a day? At the very least, Lego just saved me $100 Canadian because there's no way I'm ever getting this now. Now as for the other sets, I'm a lot more positive towards, but I'm also slightly let down in some aspects. It's neat that they all come with unlockable codes for the game, reminds me of the 2008 Happy Meal toys for the first Lego Batman game where each toy had a code on it for some sort of in-game unlockable. Cloonmobile: Probably the last Batmobile I'd buy at full price, and I feel like the set version is a lot shorter than it's supposed to be length wise, but it's nice to have every major live action Batman represented in minifigure form now (even though the Clooney Batsuit is inaccurate with that godawful cowl). I might grab it if it goes on sale but I'm in no rush. BVS Murdermobile/Murder Machine: In some ways it's an upgrade from the 2016 version, like being the right color this time and having more accurate details with the front wheels having guard covers along with a more accurate turret build, but it's also a downgrade as well. The specially molded door pieces from the original set would've been perfect to bring back in Dark Bluish Grey, they were literally made for this. Shame it's still a one seater, but then again it's not like DCEU Batman had a Robin to sit next to him anyways. The new armored Batfleck looks great, way more accurate than the first one that was definitely based on concept art with the logo underneath the armor. And for once, the accursed white eyes cowl actually fits perfectly for this Batman, though the eyes should've been blue instead of white. The Battinsonmobile: The one I've been waiting for the most...and I'm shocked at how different it is compared to the game model, though not without reason. Someone made a video of the in-game design from this Rebrickable MOC and you can see why the designers changed it. The front wheels don't have the best rolling clearance, the rear fins are extremely fragile, Batman is a tight fit inside, etc. Now on the plus side, the same Rebrickable designer made an updated version of the first design that should be a lot more durable, which is what I intend to use to modify this set once I get it because the changes they made to the physical version just don't do it for me. I don't get why they went with those oversized, treaded wheels when the actual ones are smaller and smooth, plus they made the round hubcap tiles stick out way too much now. The engine design is a lot more simplified as well now, but I guess since the one in the game was basically the same from the 2022 set version, they wanted to make it different. The build for the rear fins probably got it the worst, it looks TERRIBLE. Those Speed Champions pieces don't help with making it look like it has some curvature, it just looks so blocky compared to what the game went with. I'm definitely going to be using the updated Rebrickable MOC and I just hope it's more structurally stable. But for the positives, I actually think the front hood design looks better than the game. And that updated Battinson minifigure, perfection. Even better, this one isn't reusing the same Shang-Chi/Draco Malfoy/Batman head Lego has been shoving down our throats for the past 2 years. Instead it's using the Paul Atreides head, which is hilarious to me because I bought that head for the exact same reason that the designers used it for this set; it works as a solid Robert Pattinson Bruce Wayne face (until we got the Edward Cullen minifigure). I'm not even going to acknowledge the cape and the cowl because it's a lost cause at this point, needless to say I won't even be taking them out from the bags. But the updated torso print and those beautiful dual molded legs make up for them in spades. Now this Batman won't have those ugly looking black legs with the grey leg printing on the front and it'll look so much cleaner once it gets a cowl and cape swap. Regardless, this one is going to be a Day 1 buy, no question about it. If you made it this far, thanks for reading my essay. -

Unibricks is saying we’re getting official pics for the sets on the 9th. I was expecting next year in January or even late December, but I’m not complaining at all. I guess it’s because New York Comic Con is this weekend, so they’re going to be showing them off there. -

....I never thought we'd ever get the Clooney Batmobile or Batsuit in a set, I was betting on 76333 being the Arkham Knight Batmobile or even the Brave and The Bold Batmobile if these sets are tie-ins for the game. Though I would've preferred getting the Forever Batmobile first, I think everyone likes that more one out of the 2 Schumacher Batmobile designs. Now it's the only main live action Batmobile that doesn't have a minifig scale version to go with the others. The updated The Batman Batmobile is a Day 1 hour 1 purchase, ever since I saw that design from the game I was hoping that it would be made into a set. And with how it's been pushed in the marketing for the game, I knew there was no way that Lego was going to pass up an opportunity to release it in tandem with the game. The BVS Batmobile might be worth a pickup if I find it on sale at some point. The Batman logo coming with just 2 minifigures for $80...come on man. If it's supposed to be a 20th anniversary set for the 2006 Batman theme, only getting TWO minifigures (both being Batman) when Lego could've at least done a couple anniversary figures for the main lineup is pathetic. Getting a gold Batman over ANY of the villains, what are we doing here? I just hope that regular Batman is a straight up rerelease of the grey 2006 minifigure, that's all I'm asking for now. -

If this wasn't a day 1 buy for me before, then it definitely is now. The in-game design is absolutely beautiful and so much better than Lego's first attempt back in 2021/2022. I'll just need to extend the rear fins to be one stud longer and it'll be perfect. I'm shocked that the second Batmobile is Batfleck's. Granted, that version hasn't gotten an update in almost a decade and it's the last major movie Batmobile that has yet to get the Speed Champions treatment so I suppose it's well overdue. Plus it's going to be in the game so there's another reason to make it as a tie-in set. I would be expecting it to be a two seater now, but I also thought the same for the BTAS Batmobile/2025 Tumbler and look how those turned out. I'm just amazed that Lego is diving back into DCEU territory after those sets basically tanked the DC side of the Super Heroes theme, a problem that still persists to this day. I guess you could say this set is to celebrate BVS's 10th anniversary next year in March (though with all the negative baggage that film brought to DC's reputation I wouldn't really call it a celebration). Now I wonder if it's going to be all black again or the more accurate Dark Bluish Grey, that would help make it stand out more from the rest of the Batmobiles just like the BTAS set. As for the final Batmobile set, my money is on the Arkham Knight Batmobile. It would explain the slightly higher price point compared to these 2, and I would say it's a lot more iconic to the general public than The Brave and The Bold Batmobile as much as I love that design. And getting a new Arkham Knight Batsuit in a significantly cheaper set would be much appreciated for a lot of us who didn't want to spend $100 on that godawful R/C Batmobile just to get that exclusive AK minifigure. -

Y'know, I was really hoping one of the March sets would be for Superman...then I saw this game and have been obsessed with it for the past few days, blending Arkham with the Lego games sounds like the greatest game of all time. I NEED one of those sets to be the updated Battinson Batmobile along with that new version of his Batsuit, but that godforsaken cowl is going straight in the trash. I didn't think Lego would make me hate it faster than the 2012 cowl that they've used for over a decade, but they somehow accomplished it in 2 years. At least the 2012 cowl on the original Battinson minifigure had the correct EAR length. Regardless, I'm 99.9% confident we're getting it as a set with how much it's being pushed in the marketing with a life size version built for Gamescom and it being the starting Batmobile in the game. It's SUCH an upgrade from the original set design, especially with the front hood and the rear 'fins' that look way more accurate now. It looks almost exactly like some of the MOCs that I've seen of it, which isn't a bad thing at all. -

I mean maybe this is just me being on severe hopium after seeing the movie but one of the minifigures from the Wicked bookends set has the S curl Superman hair piece in black (the first time it's appeared in 5 years in that color since the DC CMF's), so Lego could easily use it for a Corenswet Superman minifigure next year now that it's seemigly back in production again. -

It's great to get that hat piece in another set, plus the torso is perfect for Jervis. Slap on a red bowtie piece, yellow hands, orange legs along with your head of choice and boom, you'll have a great (and at this point, probably only) 2008 Mad Hatter minifigure. The Peter Pettigrew head has always been the one I've seen a lot of people use, and you can make it work by using the eraser method to get rid of the second face print. But if you don't want to use it, I've found that the Marcus Flint head works too with that facial expression and the buck teeth. -

At this point it's become a running joke with all the 'main' Arkham sets (I'm not counting the 4+ version even though they included his hat as an easter egg). Though Penguin is probably the most 'sane' big name Batman villain and usually goes to Blackgate with the other inmates who aren't criminally insane, he had his own cell nametag sticker in the 2006 Arkham despite not appearing in the set, he showed up in the 2013 Arkham, the 2017 TLBM Arkham, and now this one. -

At this point, I think we need to let go of the idea that Lego will make a Mad Hatter, they don't even want to make the Disney version for some reason. It's been nearly 20 years since the first Lego Batman game and he's still the only main villain from all 3 gangs that hasn't been made...and it's not looking good. However, thanks to the Wicked sets, we finally have the most important piece needed in Dark Green so a purist version can easily be put together now (that's my plan at least anyways). The rest of the lineup was expected with the usual suspects, though it's great to finally get a new Croc and Bane after almost a decade. I'm hoping they're both big figs but there's no way that Lego will throw in 2 of them in a single set, so one of them is going to end up being a minifigure, if not both. Maybe it's just my nostalgia for the OG Batman theme talking (that's also turning 20 next year), but I wouldn't be so torn up about it. Batwing and Batwoman being included instead of Nightwing and Batgirl are interesting choices, I would've killed to finally get a blue Nightwing that has arm printing with the blue stripes instead of completely blue/black arms. Knowing Lego, they included them here as a tie-in to the CW Batwoman show despite that being cancelled for 3 years now. Now I really want to see what the actual Asylum will look like. Based on the minifigures it seems pretty much confirmed that it's going to be a comic Arkham so that rumor about it being based on the Burton/Schumacher films can finally be put to rest, thank god. -

ANYTHING would be better than slapping some fire pieces on the feet and power blast pieces in the hands and thinking that that would be even close to satisfactory. The Ghost Rider/pumpkin bomb piece like what they with Firestorm would be the cleanest look for Johnny, but I wouldn't mind the spiky hair in red either. Personally for me, I have the flame dome headpiece ready because I always liked how it has some flames sticking out on the top, and you can use any head for it instead of the Ghost Rider style of head where it's permanently stuck together. -

Hey, I don't have that head either...yet. That's what the magic of Bricklink is for. And speaking of Johnny, Hasbro just revealed their Marvel Legends Human Torch figure and it's only made me more mad at Lego's pathetic attempt. All we needed was the F4 torso recolored in red as the BARE MINIMUM, but now we have to hope that they listen for the Doomsday sets. -

Is it the prettiest solution? Hardly. But it's the best purist method I could find to give Ozempic Ben some desperately needed bulk and width since I'm nowhere near skilled enough to paint it, and bias aside, I've been warming up to how it looks. This Axl torso works the best compared to the other ones since those are in Silver/Flat Silver/Pearl Gold and this one is *technically* orange since the armor piece is in Bright Light Orange. Plus I'm using a little imagination to pretend it's shirtless Ben instead of the MCU sweater because I never like it when Ben gets a "costume" for his upper body. I'd be fine with the minifigure route if he didn't look hilariously undersized when you put him next to any Hulk bigfig (unless you want to make it a fair fight and use one of the many Hulk minifigures). And at least with the Axl torso it gives him more of a height boost as well so while he's still smaller than a bigfig, it's more accurate to the comics where Ben is maybe a head smaller than the Hulk but still taller than the average person. I'll stick with my cursed abomination over Ben looking like he's wearing his own merch. Seriously, none of the Hulk minifigures were given these fist pieces in green, you really couldn't have given him regular Medium Nougat hands Lego? -

...You know, I never considered using his arms, specifically the ones from this Hagrid. I'm not sure if their pins will fit in the Axl torso piece but at first glance they just might. I wish they didn't stick out so much but I'm going to have to try this out, thanks for the idea. I think I've seen them usually be around $30-45 Canadian. It depends for some of the figures that come with larger items like the Green Goblin figure coming with his glider that bumped the price up to $45 or the Batman figure with the Batpod that retails for $90. But for just the figures themselves I think they've always been in the $30-40 range. I still don't think a bigfig Thing would be size accurate as well and that Lego should put some effort in to make that Mr. Incredible video game torso piece a reality, but I'll take a bigfig comic Ben like the one from the Mission Demolition special until a new torso type shows up...someday.
