Aside from the hat, it looks like he's whacking my sigfig.. You sure you got the right Sigfig being whacked there? My sigfig's the one on the compy of nearly the same type. o.O Irregardless of that slight confusion there.. Because it looks so much like my sigfig being whacked (and I quite like that! ), Sir Dillon gets my first vote. Blackmoore gets my second.

Man. I have memories of this set.. It's one of my all time favorite childhood sets. Great review.

Pretty spectacular MOC, my only complaint is I think you used too many clear bricks to portray the waterfall in the front and it draws the eyes too much to the waterfall and not the architecture. Other than that, it's quite beautiful.

I don't think Nimbus is unlocked yet. The launcher says: "The battle will soon continue in Nimbus Station!" Which means.. we're getting access to it soon.
-
I built the rocket. It only lets me goto my home pad. The other pads are "closed". :(

You guys are thinking wayyyyyyyyyy outside the box. It's an mmo. It's not going to allow you to do any of that.
-
... it's for kids. Did you expect it to be complex? I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get to nimbus station. IT won't let me go. It says the launch pads aren't open.

Screen caps of the updater can be mailed / noted to the admins of the site before they give tags. :)
-
It'd be my first.

We've got these spiffy tags .. etc.. Can we get one like.. I don't know.. (Okay so it was quickly done job.. but.. you get the idea ) For us who were lucky enough to get into the beta?
-
Welp I can confirm more keys are going out. 3 of my friends and I just got our keys.
-
You have my permission to Whack my sigfig. Though, you may want to take him out of his computer chair first. :)

Here here! Hohum. These things are awful. I was left going the whole way through the commercial. Boring as sin and not interesting at all.

SW-SET 7754 FIGS MISSING! Home-One Mon Calamari Cruiser...
AndrewDB replied to Dennimator's topic in General LEGO Discussion
http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/replaceme...ts/default.aspx If you go here, it'll ask you to enter your address and ask you to enter what set you're missing parts from. It'll take a few days, but they'll arrive for free. :) -
It'd be impressive if they released that Bike as a real set. :)
-
The official open beta starts in early/late March, at least that's what they're shooting for.

Actually .. It won't be .. There are no levels in the LEGO MMO. It's entirely based around the idea that kids are playing it. Which explains the whole pre-rendered chat idea... though I haven't asked about that yet.. if you want me guys to, I will. I suppose I should admit this.. I've been talking to the one of the devs for quite a while about the game what I can confirm: There are no levels. It's based in the 8 to 12 year old range. It IS pay to play. :( -EVERYTHING- in the game you see, you can buy from LEGO.. from your Minifig to the stuff he or she builds. (No idea on if there is an additional charge of if it's still ten cents per brick or not.) It's "mana" system for building objects is based in "Imagination", and it does recharge over time, and it will recharge when you do certain achievements in game. There will be a 'pet' based system where pets that you find in the game give your Minifig certain abilities. There will be party questing.. though I'm not sure how well that will work with the rumored pre-rendered/chosen chat. There are no "Death Penalties" for dying in game. Its -very- platform like, like the LEGO games that game out for the Xbox 360 and PS3 that were such big hits. There is a "show case" for things that people build in game- I don't have much on this other than it'll show models that people build. It will reward people for exploring and trying -everything-. What I mean by this is if you risk your plastic doing something creative, it'll probably reward you with a new LEGO part or a new customization part for your minifig. I'll see what else I can turn up. :) -- I don't have much expectations for this, though I'm kind of excited for it. I'm worried if I put expectations on it, I'll be disappointed. I'm already really really disappointed with the decision that they've made it pay to play.

The stark contrast of monochromatic, crumbling stone buildings and small, colorful plastic toy blocks is especially jarring in Berlin, where evidence of the horrors of World War II is still visible in cracks and bullet holes. But that’s what makes this setting so poignant for German artist Jan Vormann, who patches damage to old buildings around the world with Legos. I tried to pick the best photos for this, but, you can find more here. There's also more about what Jan does.

I really don't do MOCs much .. I'm more a collector of standard sets. :)

Sporting my WoW gear (I've been playing since the game released).. Showing off my LEGO hoodie.
-
It also happens to be my deviantArt ID. Don't be surprised if he has a Santa hat now and again. :)

This is probably my most wanted set out of anything out right now in LEGO land. It'll go fantastic side by side next to my Black Seas Barracuda.

A few questions about this...
AndrewDB replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Originally they said it was going to be free to play but during CES 2010, they announced it'd be pay to play. :( -
Hello everyone. Long time reader here. I've been reading the site for almost six months deciding if I'd like to join or not, and today (of all days .. my 29th birthday) I decided to take the plunge and join. I've been collecting LEGO since 1989 when my first set was the Black Seas Barracuda (6285). To this day it remains to be one of my absolute favorite sets. Just recently I've bought the Falling Water set (21005), and I got the blue VW Bug (10187-1) for Christmas two Christmases ago. I'm very excited to be here and be part of the site and now part of the active comment squad. Some of the stuff I've seen in the past months of lurking has been absolutely mind blowing so getting to finally comment on some of your MOCs and etc will be wonderful. Looking forward to seeing you all around the forums. Andrew.
