  1. You know some people will take you seriously don’t you? ;)
  2. Posted this in the 2019 thread but it really should have gone here for the arm update. I’m just glad to have some new specialist Imperials.
  3. I think the problem with scaling is that things change scale all the time. Look at the size of the pilots inside the Snowspeeders on the studio models compared to what they're supposed to be. The interior of the Falcon is a different size to the exterior (at least until the sequels) as they didn't actually have a full size model built to work with. For me, they look close enough that they'll do as Minifigure scale. A couple of studs difference doesn't bother me at all when it comes to scaling. It's when things are completely different when I make decisions about buying them. Vader's Advanced from that set looks great along with the TIE from the Solo sets, especially when they're flanking him. Same as the X-Wing from the last wave works perfectly with those.
  4. I think he's referring to the scaling rather than the specifics of the ships and their relevance to the theme isn't he?
  5. ‘Some IG post’ doesn’t quite cut it as a reliable source for me. Cue two pages of comments about how big they need to be and what figures need to be included. How long until this thread is quoted on another forum as a second source to support the rumour?
  6. That set is a copy of a MOC made by a member here. So the actual design is that of a fan. Anything sold on that site is dodgy as hell.
  7. The truth is we don't actually know if there's going to be one UCS and one MBS each year. So it could be one large vehicle and one large playset from this point on. It's complete guess work from 99.9% of everyone. Even if next year is one of each that doesn't mean the year after will be the same. At present I don't believe anyone outside of Lego actually knows what the UCS set will really be and a lot of the 'rumours' will be linked to things like the 20th Anniversary etc 'so it needs to be iconic'. This thread gets quoted as the source of some rumours.
  8. It may sound odd as I don't have a tape measure or ruler near me but it's around 58 studs high. I have a 56 x 28 stud baseplate and its just a bit taller than the 56 studs when I put it next to it.
  9. That thought had crossed my mind. :)
  10. I think that's basically Lego saying 'Yeah... we know you want it but stop asking.'
  11. If they're additional figures then having them classic yellow sounds like quite a nice addition to the regular figure count we get on sets. Not something I'm all that bothered about owning but an interesting giveaway with the sets. They had that replica Luke a few years ago with the updated visual dictionary didn't they?
  12. In the Rogue One visual guide, Evaan Verlaine's helmet is pictured as exactly the same as Antoc Merrick's available in the Advent Calendar.
  13. Squidhead Hammerhead (If we're not including the Ithorian Jedi) Snaggletooth Blue Snaggletooth Ponda Baba Klaatu (both versions) Prune Face 8D8 Nien Nunb Imperial Dignitary Amanaman Nikto Luke Endor (Need a light flesh version) Zuckuss Force Ghost Anakin I'm working on the fact we can make the second version of the Bespin Guard with parts already available. Lego have done 8 Ewoks and there are 8 Kenner Ewoks and I've swapped Barada for Kithaba as they look very similar.
  14. They will be printing more. They actually had some issues with their printer and they now have a new machine, which they’re in the process of getting full up to speed with etc. I’m sure once that’s done and they’ve reset the jigs and calibrated colours they’ll be back on the site.
  15. Red printed arm detail and boots complete the figure. 100%. That's how they should look. I also have that blaster for mine too. :)
  16. Those things are still quite expensive to pick up. I've not quite gone that deep on the printed boot front yet.
  17. It's not all about figures. It all depends on what the build is. Obviously there may not be anything unique figure wise as the Rebel and Snowtroopers have become common. A decent build even without figures would be better than something poor populated by 4 common figures. Let's just see what the set looks like before passing judgement on it. I'll admit I thought the Hoth waves had passed at least for a year or two after AOH, The small add-on and the Medical facility.
  18. Is this a list you think is imminent?
  19. It's basically a regular X-Wing body with a head very similar to the existing Snowspeeder version. The Snowspeder head has a stern face on one side whereas this is smirking slightly.
  20. That Inferno figure looks fantastic. I'm never that bothered by the heads underneath. They're the most easily switchable item on a Lego figure and if you find a better likeness elsewhere then go for it. I've already got my CMF Surfer arms ordered to give them red stripe detailing.
  21. To be honest... If my set up was one that was played with with my daughter then I might just be the same. That's as it should be. As it is that's not how it's set up so I can be as fussy as I want. :)
  22. Personally I don’t like to dilute any group of a particular troop I have. Anything that should be uniform is, so all Stormtroopers are the same etc without any older designs or Rebels version being added. Definitely no clones. I’d say if you want a Clone Army get a Clone Army, but as you said, it’s entirely your decision.
  23. How often does Duplo get a figure that doesn’t then get a regular release? That classic Electro would be popular if it got a minifigure release.
