The adress is: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=38147 I'm sure they still have the Grand Emporium in that Lego Shop. And please say hello to the girl in the Starbucks next door, she's my daughter.

Sure, I have no patent on the idea of putting stickers on blue tiles to make it look like Lego Boxes, so go ahead. One condition: make sure you upload pictures of your MOC here. Henri

A true beauty she is, your ship. I particularly like the way you took your pictures on that glass table. You realy had me believing you immersed her in real water ! It looks real cool. Great job! Carpe Lego Henri

ooops, didn't know that. I'll make sure to do that next time.

I agree, for some sets, but I didn't have the 2x2's in blue.

I took a number of box-arts from google-images and reduced them in size to 0,77 x 1,57 mm. Than I printed it on sticker-paper and put them on the blue tiles. Took me a day, but was fun to do.

Hello, My first posting, so I hope you like it. The building you see here was made by people from the Lego Shop in Oberhausen, Germany. I had the chance to buy it at the closing of the LEGO-WORLD event 2009 in Zwolle, Netherlands. Here's how we saw the building at lego-world: And here's how it looks with minifigs: The building has 4 levels and a rooftop, so in total 10 different sections. On the ground floor are a Lego Shop and Starbucks Cafe. The evil looking cowboy and soldier are no threat to the boy who just bought the 10211 Grand Emporium, they're just large Lego Sculptures standing outside as an attraction for the shop :-) The upper levels are for a nightclub and a photostudio. The rooftop is a nice place to relax and bbq. As I stated, this MOC was made by Lego employees from Lego Store in Oberhausen, Germany. The only modifications I made are: 1. the boxes in the lego shop which were random coloured with small stickers, they now are blue with real LEGO-box art. 2. the dancers and NBA players in the nightclub. It costed me some dollars to get those Princess Leia's in bikini. 3. all other townpeople around and in the building. The building is a very nice addition to our Lego Town. By the way, Lego Dogs, DO shit...... I have to say that if not for Jamie Berard and his Modular Houses creations, I would have never gotten into lego-TOWN so much. Thanks Jamie, keep up the great work !! I hope you like the pictures which you can find here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=418465 or a slideshow here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/46889328@N07/...288216492/show/ This building has the first Lego-Store that carries the new modular building "Grand Emporium" set 10211 which is expected to be released in all the other shops by March 2010. Look at those boxes on the corner-shelf. Carpe Lego Henri

I picked one up yesterday and have to say was surprised the new bricks. The "double cheese" brick is nice. I hid the traveller in my town, curious how long it takes for my son to find it, since he doesn't know about it yet.

I didn't realy fancy the 7208 firestation, but after seeing this, I might get one anyway. Great job. Henri

MOC: Airbus A380
Henri replied to reload's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great job you did on the A380. Did you get your inspiration from LegoLand Germany? There is a similar plane in the miniland there, although that does not have as many powerized functions I think. Henri -
Hello all, Here's a link to some more pictures of the Lego Shop and the rest of the building. The building was made by people from Lego Shop in Oberhausen and I was lucky enough to buy it at the closing of Lego-World 2009 in Zwolle (Netherlands). So, all credits for the building and most of the interior go to the people in Oberhausen. I am just proud to own it and want to share it with you all. Let me know how you like it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/46889328@N07/...57623288216492/ Carpe Lego.... Henri

All, The picture is made in a lego shop on the ground floor of a larger building I purchased at "lego World" this year in Zwolle from the people from Lego Shop Oberhaussen. Next to lego shop is a starbucks and on upper floors are nightclub and photostudio and a roof-terras. The lego shop originally had shelfs with multiple coloured boxes with various stickers etc. I found it more realistic to make the boxes as can be seen on my picture. Actually the picture came out realy nice, even better than when you look at it in reality..... The guy on the picture is the shop owner, just finished stacking those boxes of 10211 on the top shelf when we hears some people coming in the shop. I also have picture of a man and his son (me and my son?) buying Grand Emporium and VW-beatle. (still hoping that that is what future will bring....) I seem to have a limit of 100KByte here, so can't upload more pix here. I am working on a gallery at flickr, or if some of you can help me out where to upload my megabytes I would like to hear. Carpe Lego....pick the bricks. Henri Daniel, This is a picture of my own LegoShop@home :-) It is NOT a picture of any contents inside 10211. Henri Rick, yes, It's the boxes-shelf inside my lego-shop. The shop also has a counter, a pick a brick wall and some display stands. I am working on the uploading of pictures, just need a place for them to go. Henri Jasper, That was part of the plan, so I succeeded. I see we live pretty close to each other. I live in Veldhoven, Netherlands. Perhaps we can meet some day, I would realy love to see your creations in reality. Henri

I fully agree to that. In my case, I have plenty of stuff to put in there anyway. Second floor is probably going to be the content of the Winter Toy shop, as I plan to keep this one for the Christmas seasons. Third floor I am thinking of a BBQ shop, since I have so many BBQ's by now, it's time to line them up. Can't wait to see Grand Emporium in the shop....hope it'll be soon to see the release. Henri

Hello all, Jamie, thanks for the replies. Nice to be talking to the professional who builds the models I like so much. Ever since the Modular houses have come to market, I got into the Lego City theme. Never before did it attrackt me so much, but now we already have a huge town. I cant wait to see the Grand Emporium lining up in my city.... I still owe you all the pictures of the Lego-Shop / Starbucks building but I want to wait just a week or so with that......You'll understand why when I do reveil the close-ups. The building is in the picture I posted here , next to the Grand Carrousel. I hope my account gives me rights to post the pictures I want. I still have to go through some tutorials on that. I'll post a message when I get my pictures in there. Is there a more suitable place to upload pictures perhaps, and link that in a posting here? Only free sites will be nice, I need to save money for my set of 10211. Carpe Lego (pick a brick) Henri

Hello Jamie Berard, First of all, I want to say thanks for all the nicely designed houses you are bringing to us. Can you reveal a bit more on the Grand Emporium 10211, especially what's on the 2nd and 3rd floors? We can't wait to get more news or pictures from it..... I would like to say that 2 modular buildings per year would be just great..... some future ideas: post office dentist / doctors practice keep up the good works and share some of your ideas with us here please. best regards, Henri

Hello all, What about a nice ice-parlor as the next set? or is that too much of a hint. Or a dry-cleaners? (the wet cleaner is hanging down from the roof....) or a bicycle shop (the kid's wheels are hinting too that).... I just wait and see and hope there will be a new building every 6 months. I just joined this site. Me and my son are lego fans, and we love the modular houses. The upcoming 10211 will look great in our ever growing city. We also own a Lego building which was made by people of the Lego Shop in Oberhaussen, Germany. It contains a Lego Store and Starbucks on the ground floor, a nightclub on second and third floor and a photostudio on the 4th floor. I would like to post pictures of this building but am not sure how and where to post them. (what is max file-size or resolution, how to upload etc.etc.) Please throw me some hints so I can post the pictures of this nice building. Henri
