  1. Are there any sightings in TRU in the UK yet?
  2. Also UK. Currently have: Zombie Scuba diver Would like: Cowboy Magician Clown Fingers crossed!
  3. Is it possible to change the keys in the beta? Under options, the 'controls' button doesn't do anything. Having arrows+mouse for movement and space to jump is not that easy.
  4. Any news at all on the chrome stormies for the UK?
  5. Spotted this at the local Asda for £15, and may well have to pick it up now :) Nice review.
  6. Well we have the Rogue Shadow from The Force Unleashed. I'd really love to see: Felucia. A Rancor or two, crazy new flora and some assorted Felucian warriors. Raxus Prime: Jedi Temple. Kazdan Paradus minifig, a Junk Titan and plenty of scrap metal. Tie Construction Yard. A tie fighter (maybe 'under construction') in an assembly rack, General Rahm Kota minifig and a squad of his troopers. All a pipe dream, cos the TFU ship has sailed. Maybe they'll do something for TFU 2 though.
  7. Aren't the little ones fun? She likes 'helping' me with my sets, she can't manage a whole one herself just yet. Her favourite thing though is getting a few vehicles and racing them to see which is fastest. Her favourite of the games is Robo Champ.
  8. I concur with most of the opinion here. I got the 7150 version (with the Y-Wing) and yes the 2009 version is much nicer. Mainly due to the black/grey colour scheme. Makes me wish that they'd redo the TIE and TIE/INT in the same colour scheme.
  9. Is there anyone who has both this and the previous set? If so, is it worth getting this if you already have the original? I like the figs, and the redesigned front end, but is that enough to make it worth it?
  10. Well, I'm part of the problem - I got it from TRU for £40 as well Mainly because I've been burned before when selecting what to get - generally the stuff where I think "Ah, that'll be around for ages" flies off the shelves, and stuff I rush to get hangs around forever. So it's a choice of TRU tax now, or ebay tax later I suppose.
  11. I really wish I knew what happened to my childhood stuff. I had a ton of basic stuff in a big box, and seem to remember a few specialist sets also (can't remember specifics though). But it was Star Wars that brought me back. I remember building the snowspeeder and a mate came round the house. Now he's a professional and serious guy. His first reaction was "Oh you're kidding me". Then he picked it up, swooshed it and went "Vrrrmmmmm..."
  12. Really? I've played a decent amount of co-op on TCS, and not had any problems?
  13. Well today I was in the local TRU (Warrington UK), and they seem to have had a delivery. All the Toy Story sets were in, most of the Atlantis, and Star Wars related they had the Swamp Speeder, Arc-170, Rebel and Imp battle packs, Tie Defender, Luke's Landspeeder and the Droid Tri-Fighter. No sign of the Freeco Speeder though, which I really want. Have to say, that little 'Limited Edition' logo on the Swamp Speeder really ramps up the price. £40! Which makes it the same as the Defender. Not good.
  14. Cheers guys! Don't get the wrong idea though, she's pretty understanding. (In a roll eyes and shake head kind of way...) Mind you, she did get me the Tantive IV for my last birthday, so I can't complain. It was mainly the size of the box (You know if you've seen it). All our luggage was already en route to the plane, so it would have to have been carry-on. Not fun on a plane I think. (If they'd have even let it on). Forget to mention in my little 'bio' as well - the daughter an I also enjoy the Lego games. We have Minotaurus, Race 3000, Ramses Pyramid, Lunar Command and Robo Champ. Robo Champ is the definite favourite. When a robot wins, she insists we build the others as well so they can cheer for him as he waves the trophy around. Great fun
  15. I was in the local TRU about a week ago, and literally all the Star Wars were gone, except Home One and the Venator (and they had LOTS of these). They had a couple of Imp Hoth Battle packs too, but that was it.
  16. I really hope that when (if) they do this, that you will be able to use one account for either. Mainly because running around and leaping about could be fun for my little one on a PS3, but for the building I'm going to want a kb/mouse. I'll bet right now though that it will require separate accounts.
  17. Hey all, Introductions introductions. Never easy are they? Well, I am an AFOL (emphasis on the A) with a 4 year old daughter, through whom I live vicariously with some of the sets I would never otherwise buy. (like Power Miners. They're great fun for her, and actually more fun than they seem to get credit for). Also things like the Land rover and horse box, and racers. I was really chuffed to find the Brickmaster Castle set on ebay which she got for Christmas (amongst other things!). The new hotness is Toy Story. But is that her or me? My own addiction is Star Wars. I got a fe w of the first sets back in the day (Pod Racer, Slave 1, Bongo etc) but missed some of the bigger and better sets. My greatest regret is not picking up the UCS Star Destroyer in Florida in 2001. My wife objected as 1) we wouldn't have got it on the plane (box was huge!) and 2) it was our honeymoon! Oops. But since then I've made up for lost time with some nice sets, my most recent favourite being the Tantive IV. I have a few (the 'new' Star Destroyer and the Venator) not built yet, as I've run out of display space! Have to grab them while I can though, otherwise they'll be a fortune on ebay before you know it. Well that's it I think. Looking forward to the 2010 sets, though not the imminent expense!
