  1. Hi, this is my first attempt at a fox hole so here it is... Also one thing to note that I tried to make some winter outfits out of tissue, but those look weird, any advice on those would be gladly accepted.
  2. Here's a simple vig/scene of a short story I created a few days ago... Me and James were walking down the streets of a French village when we came across a weird sight. We saw a German sucking the blood out of an American soldier. We looked at each other as if sicken by this, we saw many things during the war, but nothing like this. He got up, turned and we saw blood dripping from him as he slowly looked up, he was badly deformed in a way. He smiled at us and than lunged forward. We jumped out of the way. And before I knew it he came back and started to suck the blood out of me. I felt my life drain as the German held me tight in his attempts to drink my blood. I collapsed as I heard gun fire and felt it stop. The last thing I saw was my friend dragging me away. "Hang in their Xander, I'm here for you." I closed my eyes and slowly felt myself change. My body was changing and somehow this was how I would eventually die, but somehow I was just a shadow of who I was. I turned into a blood drinker, a vampire, a beast of the night forever forced to stay in shadows for fear of bursting into flames at the touch of light. {Note: The vig takes place on one dark gray plate with one backwall used twice} Any comments or suggestions I'm not going to make or should I say post Acts 2 to 10 sadly, due to the fact that I don't want to get your guys hopes up and second it sounds a little like Twilight which is the worst piece of literature in the history of human culture and of the English language. But anyway any comments or suggestions would help me with more vigs to come, thanks for reading.
  3. King of Anything by Sara Bareilles 40 times so far... awesome song...
  4. I hurt my foot (sort of, not too bad though) while I was not paying attention to where I put my STUGIII and almost broke it with my massive foot. The reason it hurt was cause it was sort of jagged, it was only like ten seconds of a sharp pain.
  5. OK, sure I'll edit my first post to add a list of parts for the gun as well as the fig.
  6. Is this a 30 cal or 50 cal, whatever it looks cool to me though... "Don't mess with me or else... bad bad things will happen." - PFC Mitchell 1 small black piece of tube for the barrel(not sure how big), 1 BA M1911 as well as Pot helmet for headgear, 1 black Utensil Chainsaw Body with the side bars cut off, Indiana Jones pants with holster, and Rebel technican (I think) torso oh and one reddish brown backpack.
  7. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could make some WWII decals for me, I need uniforms for Vichy French troops, Canadian troops, British troops, and Italian troops. If you want I will provide some photos for reference.
  8. Umm actually I'm now sure that I will bring this one to Brickcon... Oh really? I could bring more than one? How many can I bring? Oh well thanks for letting me know about that.
  9. I have a quesiton, does anyone know what happens on the first day and what might I miss if I arrive on the second day? Oh and what do I do when I bring a creation to the event? Do I just stand next to it or can I walk around without worry of it being stolen or is it at my own risk that someone might steal parts from my creation? Just curious, it's all so new to me these Lego events.
  10. Hi, I will add 15 more Free French as well as 16 Vichy French to my armies, but right now this is the only Free French Soldier I have... I'm not sure if anyone knew about the Free French or choose not to make them, but I thought I'd try something new if no one's made any or at least make two attempts after this.
  11. Here's one MOC that I might bring to NW Brickcon 2010... Here's the second one that I might bring instead of the first one... I'm still sort of debating this, so... yeah... Any comments or questions or suggestions
  12. Hi, is anyone planning to go to NW Brickcon 2010? Or is it too early to talk about it? I'm planning to go, but wasn't sure if it would be packed or not. I've never been to Brickcon or any Lego conventions, so this should be fun. Oh and what are you guys bringing to NW Brickcon 2010? I'm bringing a somewhat large display of a small French village that I will post up pics on the other lego theme subforum later today. I'm bringing my older brother as well and a camera with two memory cards one for the convention and the other just in case I ran out of memory in the first one. I know it's in September, but it would be fun to discuss this with others before I plan out what I want to see. I'm saving up like never before and hoping to see some of you there. Peace out.
  13. One day I woke up I woke knowing Today is the day that I died I called my mother I told her I loved And begged her not to cry Song inspired vig, lyrics are meant to tell this story, so anyway hope you guys liked it. Lyrics used from The day that I Died by Good Charlotte. Red markers used for blood.
  14. Not really, I sort of scratched it as I was putting on the decal.
  15. My best attempt at a German general... known as the Desert Fox... Any comments or suggestions welcome... thanks...
  16. Update as of June 12 2010... Thanks for the suggestions, but I think the sniper rifle minus the scope is a better Kar98k, what do you guys think?
  17. In 1944 there was a contest held to see what company can build an amphibious supply truck for the biggest invasion of mankind Operation Overlord. This is one of the final three picked for selection. The nickname the floating box truck for it's unusual shape as stuck with most who served as it's driver and maintence crews. It can six rifles in the back or one load of rockets. The sad part of this is that many were lost during the war and so were many of the crews. The main problem with this vehicle was explained by Captain Justin Warner who explained, "The vehicle is slow as it's in it's amphibious mode and isn't all reliable on sandy beaches. The vehicle which played a part on Iwo Jima were bogged down in the beach sand. Some were lucky and were able to move past the sands to be destroyed by enemy artillery. The vehicle in my opinion is one of the stranger vehicles of history. It has many supports as well as people against it." Any comments or suggestions welcomed
  18. I decided to post this massive diorama of D-Day, which looks small to some, but is easily growing in my opinion... it became an obession after a while to get a big and than bigger verison of D-Day although now I decided to leave it at this... And here's more pics So anyway this is my last attempt at D-Day Omaha Beach, I will not make anymore attempts do to frustration and the lack of resources however I do like to say that I tried my best and in the end failed. Any comments are welcomed...
  19. Here's a link for anyone interested in buying Lego from me... http://www.flickr.com/photos/40831921@N07/...57624202445112/
  20. Yeah, sometimes they (strangers) look at me funny, however my family is fine with it even though they don't see me having a career in it. My parents hope I become a nurse or a doctor, my brother hopes my writing takes off and my sister doesn't really pay me any attention. So yeah, it's annoying how some times people look at me funny, but than again I take my Lego home and feel better as I build them and recreate things that I could use in story plots for future novels. Oh and welcome unrealist83 to the forum.
  21. Dear Editor, I know what your thinking, how did I survive when thousands around me died? Well it wasn't easy and to be frank I didn't know how I managed to survive the biggest invasion in the history of human conflict. Here are some of the photos of the men that I went into Omaha with... I took this photo of two men bleeding to death. As you can tell one of them was a medic. No one was spared this day. I rushed ahead with camera in hand as I took photos of the events going in front of me. Where was the damn tanks I asked myself as I looked through my camera at the blood and guts around me. I heard screams, men crying in pain as they lay one on top of another in piles somehow. We lost so many here and yet more came. It was a slaughter house, there was the ocean to our back and the deadly wall of bullets spraying across the almost open beach. As I was taking this photo someone collided into me and my focus got messed up in a way. The man in front of me got shot twice in the head, the blood splattered across the beach mixed with others like him as he fell. I took four hits, three to the arm and one grazing my ear. I spent most of my time on the ground taking photos until I blacked out. I soon woke up feeling as if I cheated death for a reason. What the reason was still eludes me however the photos enclosed here should be published as soon as possible. If I could tell my grandchildren one story of this horrible war it would be how I survived D-Day with just a camera. Overview of the battle Comments and Suggestions welcomed... I kind of did this story on the spot, so my grammer might be off in some parts, but I believe this is one of my almost best short stories yet.
  22. I love Alt History such as Alt WWII, it's my favorite subject to build Lego with as well as make story plots... oh but anyway back to the subject at hand, love the characters that you made and can't wait to see what kind of what if story they might be used for. I wonder, will there be super-SS soldiers as well? That would look awesome if done well.
  23. Hi, anyway I wasn't sure if I should post this yet, but I felt it needed some outside perspective before I do anything else to it. I'm thinkinf of adding two more buildings to this, but so far I figured this was good to show off now... so here it is... Comments and Suggestions welcomed... thanks for looking at this...
  24. Good question, my guess is that mostly anything owned by the top music companies like Fueled by Ramen and other labels are the ones that get mostly disabled, but for instance like little known musicians aren't under that restriction like the song called The Dream of a Normal Death from Doctor Who, that seems to work for some vids.
  25. I usually try to build from different inspirations such as other MOCs as well as movies and tv shows. I usually try to blend different things together to make it somehow my own design. Anyway I had an idea for a WoWP substation for my town and I'm going to search for parts as soon as I can. But back to the point, my ideas are usually to ask myself what can I do to make something look better than before.
