Broken Bricks

Nice! It reminds of the Imperial Trading Post. I like the idea of combining land-based, similarly themed sets. It's something I definitely would like to explore once my collection expands. I agree with everyone on the color scheme issue. I personally love the new color palette, so if you could "modernize" the color scheme of the Eldorado Fortress it would be really cool. On the other hand, some of these parts may not be available in colors such as tan, so adding yellow to SF might be easier.

Sorry if this is not the appropriate forum for this thread...it is about a pirate item, but it is somewhat general as well. I got an Armada Flagship on ebay which I received today. The item was described as complete but missing a minifig torso, but on top of the minifig torso, 4 small parts were missing. Also, the seller did not mention it came from a smoking home...so now I have an odor problem too. My question is: 1- Since I was already planning to buy the missing minifig online (on BL), should I just buy the missing parts? It probably won't cost more than a couple dollars. Or should go to the process of notifying the seller about the missing parts trying to convince him to send them to me. 2- How do I get rid of the smoke smell? It's particularly strong on the sails, but they look great otherwise so I am afraid of washing it and causing damage. All your advice will be appreciated.

I just got my BBB yesterday ! (I am a new AFOL) It's a beautiful ship but it certainly has room for improvement. All your points are very valid. But I wanted to emphasize the lack of deck which was truly a bad design move from the creators of the set. The existence of those forward guns highlight the need for a deck even more. I even wonder if initially BBB was supposed to have a deck, but due to pricing/part count limitations they were forced to remove it and just left the two guns there.

That's a very comprehensive list you've made! Nice job! I say we come up with names for at least all the unique faces...that would make identifying the minifigs easier. Also, I would like to add that I truly like the new Pirate minifigs. I grew up with the classic pirate minifigs of the late 80s and early 90s; and while there's definitely some nostalgia associated with them, I have to admit the new ones are much better. The printed backs are a great addition and all the faces have so much detail and personality to them. The torsos all go beyond the usual "plain striped shirt" design and I think the printed shakos look great, even though I know some people disliked them. My only complaint, though a very minor one, would be the cartoonish skull and bones on Brickbeard's hat. Other than that, I think the pirate minifigs have improved in every way.

Sorry to go somewhat "off topic" here, but since I am a new member I was unable to create a thread to ask this question. How much does overseas shipping to the US cost? I am considering buying a set on e-bay from the UK but I am not sure about the shipping costs. I plan on contacting the seller about it, but since I never purchased from another country I wouldn't know if he gave me an absurd figure. If any of you could give me a ballpark cost (in USD) of shipping from Europe, particularly the UK, I would appreciate.

Hi, my name is Broken Bricks, from the US! I have been lurking Eurobricks for a while and I recently decided it was time to come out of the Dark Ages and enjoy Lego once again as an AFOL! I like all Lego in general, but I am particularly a fan of the Pirates theme, so I'll probably been spending most my time on the Pirates forum!

That is awesome! What's going on with the Governor on the back? Is he a prisoner? A pinata? Or has he joined the party and is doing a keg stand? As for me...I have just come out of the dark ages, so no coins yet...but soon!

I know how you feel...I am new here (this is my first post!) and I have no ships as well. It is an amazing fleet!
