The penalties the Germans took were pretty good. As for force... France? If they play how they did against Brazil then I think they could be a match for Germany.

For me it's Argentina who's going to win out of that trio. Probably meeting Brazil or France in the final.

Ahhh C. Ronaldo, if ever there was a player I hated. Biggest girl I ahve ever seen in a footbal strip. He seems more bothered about getting his face on the camera and making sure it looks pretty.

Onto extra time, the second half was the most boring half of the whole tournament. However, I feel Ukraine deserve to win now, not for being the better team, but for being the less crappy. EDIT: And it's gone to pennies EDIT: Swiss miss all 4 pennies, go out of the tournament not conceeding any goals. WORST GAME YET

No goals at half time but sides have hit the crossbar. I'm not really bothered who wins but Switzerland have looked the stronger team so far (although their defence did look a little shaky once or twice)

I agree the ref at the Holland game was terrible and should pack his bags and leave right now. I can't remember exactly but it was something like 25 fouls and 20 cards. That just shows how often he was giving them out.

2-1 England. Although only if there defence is greatly improved from how they played against Sweden (WHo are out now :-P ) I'm interested to see if England will be able to play effectively to this new formation, IMO it seems a lot better but I'm worried that the squad may not be used to it yet. Anyway, Kick off at 4.00pm, winner of this match play either Holland or Portugual in the quarter finals. This is a good opertunity for England (or Holland) to get revenge for Euro04. Here's hoping it will be a good game unlike most of the recent England ones. And before I leave COME ON ENGLAND
