  1. I can only echo the comments of others. An absolutely fantastic scene from the baseplate to the snowspeeder. The snow looks great and the whole scene is well orchestrated. (Though it would be nice to see more pics)
  2. Those are amazing. Fantastic details and much, much better than the official Lego versions, which I never really liked much. These are fantastic. The colours do set them off nicely and the colours are well chosen. Like the diorama too.
  3. It's the nose (for me anyway) Looks a little out of place. Like the rest of it, especially the drumstick. Tasty
  4. Some more great minis and interesting building techniques. I really like that Tie Avenger. Good stuff.
  5. Great to see new pics of the Wampa attack. Not keen on the wampa's face, but interesting to see the right arm is squared off, looks like it'll be able to drag Luke across the snow, which I think is a nice touch. Still exited about the second wave.
  6. Thanks for posting the link to those photos. Excellent pics and some interesting techniques. I'd never have thought to use talcum powder for snow. might give that a try.
  7. That sums it up. We haven't seen the whole of the Star Wars universe, and there's always room for more star wars creations. The description of the ship is interesting. Can't wait to see it.
  8. That would be a nice touch. I know my kids get real exited with the power miners and Atlantis sets just over the double sided heads. Such a small thing could increase sales of the set. I'll be getting it anyway, but a double sided Luke head would be a nice bonus.
  9. Nicely done. One of the best versions of the Delta 7 I've seen. As has been said, the cockpit is very well done - one of the best I'd say. A lot of nice details there alone.
  10. The base is really coming along - it is superb. Very well designed. It has made me re-plan my Echo Base. Very inspirational and some nice little touches, especially the automation of the door and the ion cannon. Nice detail on the mountian side as well. escellent stuff.
  11. An amazing build. The technique used for the tower is brilliant. I also like the way this looks very different to the Library - makes the university quite eclectic. Looking forward to seeing more. Keep up the good work.
  12. nice sleek lines and a simple overal design. I agree that the weapons could be a bit beefier, but I wonder if that would spoil the overall lines of the ship. Anyways, it's nicely done.
  13. Good luck with the project. That looks awesome. I wouldn't know where to begin. Can't wait to see pics of how it progresses.
  14. I voted rounded - not that I have ever noticed a difference, but checking my figs, most have square shoulders, but the ones with rounded ones do look a bit better. Either way, minifigs are minifigs and are great to have.
  15. Thanks for the great feedback guys. Instructions are here as a PDF Or the build pictures are on brickshelf here... I'll have to try that, but tan was the only colour I had at the time. I'll see if I have any and try it out. It would be a better colour for it. Thanks again guys.
  16. Been working on a Hoth Rebel Base, in the planning stages at the moment. The first part was to come up with an Atgar cannon that looked more like the movie version. So here are the results... from the front... From the back... And finally, the cannon in action... The reference pics were taken from Wookiepedia here This is the second version, the first was essentially the same design, but with a different method of connecting the dish to the body of the cannon. Comments and feedbeck appreciated.
  17. Hi there, I'm Colin, from the UK, as the topic said. Started out with lego as a youngster when we inherited a small tin of lego blocks. Graduated to the early space sets and then took a sabbatical as Lego was just a toy and I was such a grown up!!! That all changed when my son started to get interested and dragged us out to Legoland Windsor, at which point I realised Lego was so much more than a toy. My son is into Star Wars, Power Minors, Bionicle, and a few others, I collect Star Wars, mainly the Hoth related sets, and to supplement them and help with a few projects, I get a few Lego City Police sets, which are also pretty fun to build. Been lurking on EB for a while now, so figured it was time to join up and join in. Looking forward to it.
