After some rest, Dyric woke to rumors of a new shop in town. He went to check it out, and discovered that for once, local rumors were true. He proceeds to buy Sticky Gloves for 500 Gold. 1148 - 500 = 648 Gold.

So does this mean there were be a version of the game where you can buy it, and the Elrond fig is included, akin to the Luke and Han ceremonial figures, or that like usual it had to be pre-ordered?

Really? I had the opposite opinion- I don't remember Beijing being very exciting. Personally, it was a great performance. The opening part showing the history was very well done- the transition into the industrial age was flawless! Also, the inclusions of Rowan Atkinson and Daniel Craig really added some classic British humor to the whole thing. And while the 4 Decades of Music became a little irritating towards the end (four decades isn't going to please everyone all the way through, naturally-we all have different tastes) the performances by the volunteers was very well done. The whole idea of the pedals from all the countries coming together under one torch still blows me away.

Yeah, the only change between the two is the '08 one lacks special features, and the '04 one has them hidden with the old THX logo gag. Actually, now that I think about it, the '08 ones might have had the original versions with them too, and with this they were just boxed into one set.

I have a box trilogy with both the '08 and original versions. I got that at WalMart too, I think, and fairly recently.

I definitely plan to! Quest 19 was the most fun I've had on a quest so far, and I wouldn't pass up on a chance for Dyric to come face-to-face with his arch-nemesis again!

I'd love to sign-up for Quest 38, but as I hinted in the Hall I'm horridly busy for the next month and a half working at camp, and there's going to be large chunks of time where I'm totally out of contact.

Well, the original Dyric Rone (the one I'm using right now) contains of Cad Bane's torso, Han Solo's legs, and a black hood and two capes- all of which can be taken from Maul, the Emperor and numerous other figs. The only piece which isn't in a Star Wars set is the head.

I look across the hall, and see my old friend back from his quest. He seems worried, though. Defeated. Saddened. It wouldn't be the first time I had seen that face- if my eyes didn't betray me, I could have sworn I saw it on my own face from time to time. Especially... then. I go to his table. Haldor, old friend. Time as a Shaman hasn't been good to you. What appears to be the problem?
