I'm wondering how it would look on a ship, if you don't mix it with old brown, you'll probarly won't notice it. When I was in a toy store some weeks ago, I saw the new viking set, with the blue dragon, I took a look at the box and noticed a treasure chest, In that picture, I couldn't really say wether it was reddish brown or classic brown, to be honest, it looked more like classic brown then reddish! I didn't bought it so I could check it but it looked like classic brown very strong.

No I don't think so. Chasers, as these cannons are called, are usual placed lower, like on this fine ship Most ships had chasers at the stern and at the bow.

Yes you are right, the Eldorado Fortress is more like a large outpost, not a real fort like these whose are much more powerfull than the EF. The idea of seperate forts too collect sounds great, but I doubt LEGO would do something like that *sad*

Nobody ever mentioned somebody about the masts, so I think I should: There are not enough for a frigate, and besides they need to be taller, Admiral Starwind said some things about the sails, like the triangle sail in the middle, you're right, it should be higher or it shouldn't be there , if there were the usual three masts it wouldn't even fit in. The cabin is also too big for the ship what makes it look kinda bulky, the top deck guns are a bit strangly seperated over the deck, he should use all space, or leave a space in the front. It is a nice ship but not really the most accurate... SirScottLego, who do you mean with ''they''??

I found the word! It has to be mizzen mast :-P About the mast, all of the masts should be taller, it would also take care of the low sails, the mast of those ships were veeerrryy tall. The bow setion: could also use some work It looks a bit of boring, there are plenty of MOC's for inspiration, for example, here is my improved bow section To Berry Syedow: this is not gold, look at here

That looks very odd, the original version is even better, reminds me on an Ironclad with sails. Maybe it is useful for Pirate mocs indeed, but more for a building than a ship I think, the brown plates can be useful for deck plates, and the Princess leia can be a nice figure head, we finally found a good use for fleshies: Figureheads!!!

I echo that, fortunately it's is weekend now ;-) the next vacation for me is in october, starts on the 16th, but I'll probarly be in Spain then....

Yes you are right about the mast, maybe three mast whose differ in lenght are better. The triangle sails are also a bit strange attached on eacht other. But the question is, do these ships still exist??
