Very well done. I'm not normally a fan of steampunk/mecha, but this looks really good. Congratulations on a job well done!

So are these like, the 20th Pokemon games? They have milked this franchise WAAAAY too much. I played Yellow when it came out, but they introduce 20 new pokemon and 2 new games every year. The Pokemon franchise is unpopular now because it has been milked so much.

Makes great use of the JSF parts... Complete gallery

First, learn how to spell. It looks like an interesting MOC, but it would be nice if your pics didn't look so horrible. If you're using a digital camera, there may be a little icon that looks like a flower. Press the corresponding button and you're now in macro mode, which is great for stuff such as LEGO at close range. Flash is your friend! Also, learn to deeplink. It gets many more looks at your model. I would also suggest downsizing your sigpic unless you want an admin to do it forcibly.

Z-95 Headhunter Final Version
Darth Doggfather replied to Darth Doggfather's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the advice, people! Keep it coming! -
Link One entrepenuer going by the name of "JNL Trading" is selling the new X-Wings (MSRP $49.99) for $95.00 on Amazon.com, making a $45 profit on each one. How can he pull this off? Well, as the seller says, it's a "Rare Limited Edition Star Wars Lego Collection." before giving us the dire warning to "Get it before they're gone." One of the reviewers even says that he bought it at his local LEGO store for $50, but none of the reviews make any mention of the 195% of the retail price this guy is selling for. Makes me wonder, what if more of these S@H and TRU exclusives come out, will scalpers like this guy sell them for enormous profits?

The link is showing a Dacta Teacher's Manual, so a Peeron (or Brickset) link would be nice. EDIT: Just found a Lugnet link. I have no idea why you were calling this a "scenery resource set", as this is a teacher's guide to the LEGO Reading System. I have no idea what the LEGO Reading System is, but it doesn't relate to trains or town, so, admins, PLEASE MOVE THIS THREAD! This is very interesting, though. Lugnet link

SEA FREAKIN PORT, BABY!!! I really hope this is as good a set as it sounds. Gas Station? AWESOME! I might be buying a lot of city in 2007. Man, you just made my year!
-
"rather big"! That must be the understatement of the year! I love that thing, though. I wonder how long after the guy started that did it take for his wife/girlfriend to leave him? That thing is amazing!

I'm noticing a lot of very...well how should I put it, crude statements? Shouldn't the purpose of this discussion be to address issues in a civilized manner? :-| Yes, our country is messed up, but then again if you look hard enough you can find things with EVERY country that are messed up. There's a very important matter that people aren't addressing. The "bad guys", the people who will break into your house, the people who WILL assault you, the people who WILL commit crimes with guns will STILL be able to get them! Most of them do not get guns through legal means! Now I'm CERTAINTLY not a supporter of guns, but I'm afraid merely passing a law banning guns will not cut down on crime. Will it cut down on accidents? Sure it will. But it will also leave a family alone in a house with nothing but a bat against a burgler with an automatic pistol. I just hope everyone realizes that there are points to BOTH sides of any argument. Oh, and Darth Doggfather, just so you know, I'd take Bush over Clinton any day. He messed our country up more than Bush (people in other nations might not know why though, unless they're really into US politics). The case I'll consider moving to Italy will be if Hillary ever gets elected :-X Guns were the worst invention human kind has made so far. Well, besides Megabloks ;-) After spending all of my life as an American, I believe I have the right to poke fun at our nation. I didn't mean to get overly political, I was just stating the facts, but with my slightly liberal bias. I didn't mean to offend anyone with my comments, but I was just giving my opinion. This is the country of $400-a-day pet spas, remember? ;-) We are pretty crazy when you think about it! I'm crazy and I'm proud!

SARCASM STARTS HERE I love America! I love the fact that I can go down to my local ghetto weapons shop, buy a fully-automatic AK-47 legally, and pop some caps! I love hunting the po-po with my .50 cal rifle (.50 cal bullets are about 6cm long, btw), and I love doing school shootings with the Uzi my adult friend bought me! When I bring my AK-47 deer hunting, there isn't any usable meat left on the remains of the carcass! Yay for military weapons legal for the general population! SARCASM ENDS HERE America is crazy. I don't think guns should be outlawed, but assault rifles and submachine guns should be. In America, people can buy the equivalent of a modern military weapon and do whatever they want with it. In the 1990s, U.S. President Bill Clinton signed the Assault Weapons Ban into law. This act banned the sale of guns that were fully-automatic (AKA, squeeze the trigger and the gun unleashes a constant stream of bullets), but it continued to allow semi-auto (the gun fires only as fast as you can pull the trigger) weapons to be sold. In 2004, after promising to renew it, President Bush failed to renew the Assault Weapons Ban, and it was legal again for people to buy and sell fully-automatic weapons again. Our country is so f*&^#d up right now, I'm considering moving to say, France, or Germany. I hear the weather's nice ;-). I don't know, this is just my opinion on the matter.

Can you please add the final version of my Z-95 Headhunter MOC? Thanks for the index yoda!
-
I've taken your suggestions to heart, and I've refined my Z-95 Headhunter enough to call it a final version. PIC SIZE REDUCED!!! The cockpit, with country-boy pilot: Left side, showing the new main gun and some of the new bling-bling: Right 3/4 view, probably my favorite overall view of the ship: Closeup of the new main gun design (thank you, Starwars4J, for inspiring me to make custom guns!): Rear 3/4, you can see the airscoop I added on the left side of the picture. You can also see the new engines: Frontal view: And finally, the top view: Thanks for looking!! Thanks for all the suggestions!! Sorry for the crappy pics!! I know it should have 4 engines, but the Databank says many variants were produced, and I'm officially saying that this is a variant with 2 engines. Maybe Z-95:2 would be the official Incom name for this variant? If you want to see any other parts of the ship, please tell me!
-
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I've added a detailed cockpit, a pair of engines, and I'm currently working on reducing the blockiness factor and reworking the guns. I should have some pictures up later. I'm also going to reduce the picture size, Hobbes.
-
YAY! Deeplinks are up! Please don't bother asking about the cockpit, because it is definitely not ready for prime time. Left side with the front and landing gear: Slightly higher right side view with a nice view of the greebling on the roof: Rear 3/4 view showing left side: Front 3/4 view with left side: Very low front view, showing left side: And finally, an action shot X-D : What I still need to do: Cockpit Engines More greebling in various areas MORE GUNS!!! ;-)

I'm currently working on a Z-95 from the Star Wars Expanded Universe. For those who don't know, it's like an X-wing, but without the astromech socket and s-foils. Mine is currently in the "roughed-in" stage, where the body's structure is done, but details such as landing gear and a cockpit are very primitive. It's covered with bright red, and there are 3 plates that I didn't have in red, so I needed to use white and old gray. I'm sorry for no pictures, but I'll have them up later today, hopefully.

I voted yes. Everyone before me is right, yet they're also missing the point. Since SW dominates Theater, a new SW forum would allow people to post in the Theater forum without needing to compete for people's attention with SW. If the LEGO Theater forum became non-SW, people who visited it would be coming for non-SW licensed properties, and it might get more hits. A SW forum could also have a SW MOC subforum, helping keep the general MOC forum cleaner. Oh well, just my thoughts.

Draynor Willows-Runescape Project 1
Darth Doggfather replied to hewkii9's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Let's go RuneScape!!! Those are some pretty nice scenes you have there. If you have a lot of gray castle parts, I would suggest making Ardougne Castle, but that's just me. Add me to your list, my logon name is 1337ade. -
Couple of Musical Minifigs.
Darth Doggfather replied to MattZitron's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I totally agree. It would be an awesome set and a huge seller. Nice figs, btw. -
But yoda, how many toes would you wave?

I got this catalog in the mail yesterday, and the bley on that turkey just ruins the cover for me. The cover is pretty awesome, and the X-Wing is finally in the catalog!!! The TIE Collection, which i thought was dead, is finally in the catalog. Christmas, why are you still 3 1/2 months away....
