Nice work, allthough I think it needs some more "wing". The models I have of a Fell Beast, the wings are HUGE, comparing to the rest of the beast. But everything else *y*

Would you like electric lighting in your Town sets?

I intended to answar like you UniqueBuilder, when I voted "Other", but I'll just quote you. -
No-one in LEGOLAND Billund knows anything about the ship. But - I threw it on our Forum in the danish LUG "Byggepladen.dk" before I drowe to Billund this morning, and a wonderful guy called Heine wrote this (translated from danish): "The ship was never ment to be a set. Apparently, it was displayed at 1993 World Lego Expo, which had the theme "Pirates Ahoy". If this is the ship, LEGO named it "Pirate Galleon", it consists 13.280 bricks, and it took about 101 hours to build. All these facts found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lego_Pirates, but the year 1993 in wiki, does not tally the 1991 on Bricklink" Well, I'll try to dig deeper, and talk to someone at LEGO, to hear if it still excists. I'd just love to walk around her, and take a lot of pics. Btw. a good link - even this forum is mentioned, and I learned a lot. ( It's quite new to me, this pirate obsession).

Don't think so. I have allready been to Legoland, Billund 8 times this year ( and have been there many, many times) and I've never seen this beautiful *wub* ship before. Actually, I'm going today again; I'll try to ask someone, if it has ever been there.

LEGO does not spend years and a big lot of money on a movie, if it was not to sell - LEGO. The movie was shown first time, at the opening of Legoland, Billund LAST year. (think I've seen it about 20 times - just love the catle *wub* ) Second, LEGO plans release of new sets 2 or 3 years before they hit the shops. They have to make up the "story/theme", find out what it must contain, design new bricks, new mini-figs, make testmoulds etc. etc. Then box-designs, PR, distribution-plans and I could go on. They even send out test sets to test-builders and evaluate the sets, before they send test-sets to ex. Toys'R'us and other very big detailers to hear their opinion, and again they might have to change things ex. box-designs, colours - you name it. Then all the bricks have to be casted, packed and brought to the stores. I guarantee, the sets have been long on the way, when they hit the shops.

I had the honour yesterday, to meet the Chief-Designer (during the last 9 years - except for 9 days) in LEGO-City, Henrik Andersen, who made most of the UCS models, just mentioning X-wing, ISD, TIE-Intersceptor, BOING, etc., etc.. - BUT, as he said "Not the MF". He took 6 days to build it : When a model is allmost "Cleared", a lot of different designers builds the model, and throw back their comments. So, all of you, who have allready ordered it - set of a lot of time, to build this huge "Moth..F....." - yes I am jalous.

Because of this thread, I went through all my old Instructions, and I was WRONG. It seemes that my first set was this ( now I actually remembering, having the parts, but not the set; it was released in 1964, and I was born in 1968, so I have been very, very young, I luckwise had a LEGOholic father) *sweet*: 315-1

You are so young. My first set, that I can remember, was this baby: - and yes, I still have the bricks and instructions. Box is unfortunately gone.

Been through my pictures, and I remembered wrong. I only have a few pictures (at least, that's what I've found untill now, I'll keep searching). The first is of the Island, which is the first thing you see on the ride. On the picture it's me, with my son and father in law (about 2

Oh yes, the soldiers are - I was talking about the buildings.

The whole island is made of DUPLO-bricks. I have a lot of pictures of the whole ride. I'll see if I can find the time, to upload it to Brickshelf tonight.

I voted for Vladek's Castle. It's really evil, with good armory, and many details. My son and I, had a lot of fun, both building and playing with it. I allways thought that 10177 vas a bad re-release. If you make a such, release the original (and further more, they made it (pardon my french) f....... BLEY!!!).

Just a rumour and I didn't say 5000. I said 3-5000. Somebody knows something, but they don't say nothing, at the danish portal "Byggepladen". We only get clues
-
Rumours says that we can expect an UCS Millenium Falcon in 2007 (3000 - 5000 bricks)
