Wow thats one fine set you got there mate :-) Its nice to finally get a vehicle that belongs to the Separatists, as much as i love all the republic vehicles it was starting to feel very one sided. This sure looks like a beauty thats for sure *wub* i like the way tlc have made the cockpit very accessable with the roof and side entrance, its much better than the previous version....but thats aint hard X-D Though the cockpit does scream 'Please moc me' :-D Hey *yoda* whats the piece at the bottom of the destroyer droid thats conected to the legs? For the life of me i dont recognise it.

Well that pic answers the question in my opinion *wub*

Lego missed the chance with Spiderman and Marvel
Vader replied to Nonpoint Fan's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well i for one would of really liked more comic related lego sets, x-men, fantastic four, hulk, superman ohhh my how i wish!! The batman sets were great for us fans, though im not sure if they sold well :-/ I think the problem is that certain comic sets would be harder to make than others, the ff for example would have a huge range of ideas where as spidey didnt. -
I doubt if we will get taun tauns with a AT-AT, i would expect just 4 figs and not much else like the first AT-AT.
-
For the jedi with the long head i used a regular head, then i cut the top of another off and placed it on top of the first. I used some putty to seal the gap between the 2 heads then smoothed it, then of course i placed the decal on top of it. Green stuff is harder to use but is far more durable, if i had used putty etc then the long bits of hair would more than likely break upon removing the hairpiece.

Thats a real nice glider and vig you got there, dont change the wall it really does look great :-)

Thanks for the kind words guys, Wout i do indeed know the back story of Aurra. Perhaps i will make both a lil aurra and a dark lady at some point, but for know theres a fe other figs i wish to do first. SW4J like i said before the hair is indeed attached to an anakin hairpiece, the reason why you cant see the old hairpiece is because i firstly cut the front of it back. :-) By doing this it allows for new hair to be sculpted at the front of the head, on the Vos hairpiece i also cut the sides of the hairpiece back alittle also. Ill get some pics up soon of the new hairpiece on its own without the head, oh and i used green stuff for all of the customs.

As theres been a long break in between new sets i decided to try my hand at a few more custom, this time however i have focused more on hairpieces. Heres Quilon Vos, vos has been a leading character in recent SW Comics. Vos's hair is long and kinda dreaded, i used a normal anakin hairpiece to sculpt the long hairs bits onto. A simple side view. Dass Jennir, yet anouther comic jedi, like vos he too has long hair. Again ive used the same method to sculpt the hair. Heres K'kuhk, hes a whiphid jedi that appeared in the comics and clone wars cartoon. This is a full head sculpt and is still rough, hopefully i will be able to smooth him out abit. Ive used this sculpt as a way to practice for my army of custom wookies i hope to make, oh and i based the design of kkruhk on that of the comic version. We need more bounty hunters right? Anyway heres Aurrua Sing, her ponytail was quite simple to make. Another side view, oh i should point out that the torso decal design is not mine. I found it on BS along time ago and hope that i dont upset anyone with its use. A custom jedi based on one that was also in the clone wars cartoon. Another jedi from the comics, Choi has a sculpted head and custom legs. And finally a commander gree, no sculpting here just a simple paint job. Comments are welcome. :-)

X-D :-D X-D Oh man you are sooooo right!! He does indeed look alot like Kahn, im sure theres some ST fans out there who will love this face and hair for that very reason. After reading your review *yoda* and seeing the pics this set has moved up a few places in my wanted list.
-
Well the new one does seem alot more like its film counterpart, but as IS states its hard to decide until we have the 2 in hand to compair.

Lord *vader* to Captain Casewindu.......... The Emperor has ordered that all available funds be put into the development of weapons of mass destruction......... Because of this there isnt much left to improve our older ships.......... Do what you can with that old crate........... *vader*
-
