  1. Just out of curiosity, how many axles do you get in one of the new canister sets?
  2. I didn't like the Piraka or the Inika (only considering buying Matoro and possibly Jaller for Ultimate Tahu parts). I feel alienated by the storyline. More islands? Secret Orders(this is Bionicle not Da Vinci Code!)? MORE Toa? 2001 was better because it bothered to establish a mythos. I'm sure any Bionicle fan worth their salt knows the Mata-Nui story off by heart. It was simple, but now you have all these cataclysms and Orders and conquerors! It's become too complicated for me, TBH.
  3. I agree with a lot o' th' things said here. The non-violence is what made Bionicle unique, BUT I'd quite enjoy epic swordfights like, say, running up a Skyscraper in Metru-Nui, or maybe two winged characters clashing swords in the sky, dipping and diving, creating elemental flashes etc., that'd be good. Otherwise I'd rather have elemental fighting, as great big plumes of fire are more impressive than a fencing match. Also, the CGI ads are what started me and the combo models egged me on. I remember thinking "Wow, the black one looks cool" and then I looked at the Kaita (something that has been lacking in recent lines) and thought "OMG must get Tahu and Pohatu" and I was saving up my pocket money to get them. The Bohrok pretty much cemented me in for the Rahkshi and most of Metru-Nui. But then, quite some years later, the "Hordika" wave started chipping at that cement. One piece head/body cover, limbs and some pieces to hold it together does NOT make a formidable villain. On a side note, it's really nice seeing clever, constructed arguments on here. Even if you disagree, remember that "the people not like us are still people, like us".
  4. Let's not forget that Spidey's powers have shorted out on him more than once, PSPguy. While I do love Spider-Man many times over (not that way) Batman seems to have more potential set-wise. I would however, like to see the space shuttle w/ symbiote (depending on which origin Venom gets) and a Sandman set where you'd get a normal Sandman minifig and a big brick-built Sandman wave to chase Spidey. Add a vehicle or two and building facades and bob's your uncle.
  5. Calm down people, this set will probably be available elsewhere. USA's Target exclusives usually end up as Argos exclusives or even wide release. At any rate, it'll be available on S@H fo' sho. So clam* down everybody. *I put this intentionally, so don't correct me, foo'!
  6. Personally I wouldn't mind sets of mini-scaled Skyscrapers that came with, you didn't guess it, GIANT MONSTERS! Not only would this please the people that want buildings, but the Creatures fans as well! Then you could have a city with tiny streets and cars and everything with loads of monsters battling it out! Maybe use some mini military models as well! Maybe have the buildings be destructable or something too, maybe have a set with a transforming building! So many ideas! This, IMO, would be awesome. -chugga chugga chugga chugga
  7. That is one nice combo model. It's a shame you didn't win. I like the idea of the jetpack and it's variety of armaments. I will say this, though: the hip missiles are very awkwardly placed. I can imagine it now... Takeshi: All missiles! Fire! *KABOOM!* I second the request for instructions. Off-T: I'm back, if anybody cares. Tumbleweed's over there.
  8. The Thing wrecks the place
  9. Rob Zombie-What lurks on Channel X?
  10. If you can I'd like to see a Big Bertha. Minifig scale would rock but Micro scale is understandable.
  11. Is it wrong that the first thing I thought upon seeing the snow slopes was "VIKING SKI LODGE!!!!"?
  12. Last I heard Mega Bloks has the comics license while Lego has the movie license.
  13. Is it me or does anybody else have flashbacks to camp 60's Batman when they look at the Catbike?
  14. Cheers, mate! *will build ASAP* EDIT: Just built it and just..WOW! Some of it did fall apart a bit when I tried to pick it up so I had to fortify it a bit. But overall it is a very cool looking model to have defending your Lego and destroying Robo-scum. I have a feeling it'll look great with the Mobile Defence Tank or Gate Assault sets.
  15. Both these shows are in the UK.
  16. I request, nay, DEMAND instruction pics. If not for all then at least for the tank. PLEASE!
  17. snefroe1:pretty much. eNiGMa:Why thankyou. Sir Dillon: I used to like Bionicle, I'm currently fixed on Exo-Force and I can't wait for Lego Batman. KhoRne: I don't really know. I think I originally saw someone on teh intarwebs mention "the gravy train" and I can't stop going "chugga chugga chugga chugga" SuvieD:I will.
  18. Hello, brothers and sisters. I have recently gotten back into Lego (thanks to the Supernova) and would like to become a part of this Community.
