6277 Imperial Trading Post for me. I think it's still unsurpassed on the front of playability: it has a fortified tower, a harbour, a ship, a rowboat, that's all you need to recreate any sort of swashbuckling adventures!

The first (and only) castle set of my childhood was the very nice 6062 Battering Ram: I had a lot of Space sets, altough I liked Castle more. Weird.
