The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus #8
Asuka replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
A brilliant and extremely humorous story, very well told! -
What a wonderful and deeply atmospheric scenery!

A very nice ruin scenery... very suitable for some spooky story!

Thank you very much, Bricks! Whoa! I´m impressed... it seems like TLC´s trying something pretty intrepid and imaginative with that theme... police crafts which´re reminiscent of the good old classics, but the baddies and their vehicles´re fresh, fancy and even funny... I really like TLC´s humorous efforts here... Mad Max in Space on! A very brave step for TLC... so many times a lot of us (me too)´re ranting that there´re no real innovations with the line-up, only the same old firefighters in new dresses, but now, like with Castle, they did a really interesting and novel composition out of that classic theme IMHO... I guess my favorite´s that cool police craft with that trans blue Speed Racer´s windshield... somehow it reminds me a little of Blade Runner...

Wow. That wing-like structure looks beautiful. From your concept art I can see that this is an enormous project indeed. It looks very fine yet but there´s still a lot of work to do... godspeed!

But beauty killed the beast...

Church/Chapel MoC for Medievel Marketplace
Asuka replied to brickzone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A very charming work indeed and it fits truly perfect to the Marketplace. Very well done! -
A wonderful and very clever work full of great details and working features! The color scheme works really very well too.

Why is it wise to act nicely? Well, common sense aside: That quote´s from our member guidelines and concerns us all. You´re entitled to your opinion. Others´re too. Regarding your impolite and hubristic arguing and your catchphrase "this new space police sucks"... You act like some burning Galaxy Explorer in your living room´s talking to you. Chill out, you´re better off by calling the fire brigade... SPACE... may be to you what ever it is, but there´re many LEGO fans out there and something like simply doesn´t exist! You can try to define the true nature of whatever for yourself, and of course you´re welcome to discuss what you like and what not and why and so on here around in a, yes, friendly way indeed, but to speak with The King: A little less generalization, a little more tolerance please! And yeah, the same applies for everyone here around. Let´s try to keep the discourse constructive.

Simply hilarious and very smart... row boat hybrids... of course!

A wonderful and very clever work!

A fine work indeed. There´re quite a lot bug-like mechas out there but not many who remind me (a little) on a rocket frog. That´s smart. And it even fits two MFs... well done!

A very nice and smart work, well done. But somehow, he looks a bit drunken... so no more heavy fuel oil for that one I would say...

The pics we´ve seen´re pretty preliminary and things may quite change a bit. No need to construct a drama or to sacrifice kindness. Just let´s wait and see and please, everybody, give good manners (and humor) a chance here. Drop the aggression and relax a bit...

Stranded! - A Young Man's Journal Entry Two
Asuka replied to NewRight's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ah, finally... the sequel! Again, a very nice landscaping and atmospheric potography. Maybe a little short this time, story wise... well, I look out for your next instalment. -
A neat and pretty funny work indeed, nice!

Happy Birthday and bricks on!

But would he make it with that watch too..? Time for a nap I guess...

Interesting... a classic dropship-like design, but sleeker and rather cybernetic, indeed more like some automated drone. Very nice, although I´ve to say that I like the tiny red spots of color in your previous version more than the blue ones.
-
A charming work and a very good and actual rendition of the original, you´re indeed a crafted and fast worker in bricks, impressive....

Spin State by Chris Moriarty, a book well recommended to all friends of intelligent science fiction. Read it and you´ll look at the PowerMiners line with completely new eyes too. BTW, for the sake of Eurobricks intellectual reputation, I guess, could somebody please just pin that topic?!

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Asuka replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I guess next year the brave PMs go back to the surface just to recognize they took the wrong turn and´re now stranded in a distant future where the rockies´re in charge and MFs lost their ability to build with bricks... Beside this, some female diggers would be cool, but although TLC´s recently and thankfully increasing the female share of the MF population I´ve the certain feeling that the PM line tends toward a younger 'boyish' clientele of which TLC still thinks unfortunately as a little girl shy... BTW and without any further intro, if you´re interested into that whole PM theme I would almost like to edge you all into reading Chris Moriarty´s brilliant science fiction novel Spin State... you´ll find for sure some new and fascinating nuances for that theme while doing so. -
Yeah, I´ve to agree with Bundalings a bit, somehow and sometimes a set looks better on the box art than in real... maybe the color scheme´s just too flashy too. However, thanks for that nice review, matanui911.
