  1. Transformers! I love Transformers. They're like my second LEGO. Same appeal; it's one toy, but still more than toy. It's an action figure and a vehicle toy, but the best part is it's a puzzle. I only have a dozen or so, but I love them and get new ones when they strike my fancy (or if I find them at a bargain).
  2. This is really beautiful. Everything a MOC should be. I love the brickbuilt architecture.
  3. If LEGO's system movie contract with TinselTown Toons is anything like their Bionicle contract, it's going to be a trilogy. And seeing as how three villains escaped from space prison, and the first film focused on one of them, I'd say that's fairly likely.
  4. When a set has a particularly awe-inspiring box, I keep it and put it on the back of a shelf, behind whatever is on the shelf. But I've only saved about five boxes of the dozens of sets I own; most of the boxes I just toss.
  5. I won't lie about it to anyone, but I won't go out of my way to mention it. It's a hard topic to avoid in my basement, however, considering that the whole room is encrusted in LEGO.
  6. Oh man. You guys were so awesome when you were kids, you make me ashamed. But not ashamed enough not to share.
  7. Am I missing something here? http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=9247
  8. Caffeine has never really done anything for me, and those bottles are from a while ago. That's probably a fifth of all the BAWLS we've ever drank. The chalice is a cheap plastic thing I got at a yard sale. If I'm not mistaken, I also got a supreme class Cheetor from that same yard sale. Both were a dollar.
  9. This is terrible. This is absolutely terrible. LEGO had a design language, and now it's falling apart. No more unity in design. No more aesthetic compatibility. This sucks. And the kids will be all over it. In fact, LEGO seems to be turning into two different companies: one that makes minifigures for kids, and one that makes building toys for adults.
  10. Yeah, I can't tell which of your commas are supposed to be commas and which of your commas are supposed to be semicolons.
  11. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH! That is incredible. I cannot believe it. That is the best LEGO model I have ever seen. EVER. What is the point of living after that thing has been made? I was going to say making it remote controlled, but it already has powered treads. Jesus Christ. How? Why? I honestly don't know what to say. Consider my mind blown. My pants are tighter for having seen this MOC. No matter how you interpret that sentence, it sums up a smidgen of how I feel.
  12. I have friends over a lot. Sometimes they stay the night. I've got a big shelf in my basement full of LEGO. That's what it looks like. Anyway, once upon a time I went to sleep while they were over. I don't think I was being a bad host or anything; it was after 1 in the morning, and I'm a much bigger fan of sleep than most of my friends are. When I woke up and went down to the basement, I saw this. They had spent the night making a minfigure-stampede the entire length of the counter. My friends are awesome.
  13. This is AWESOME, and I feel compelled to show all of my friends.
  14. This thread is a good thing. This thread is a very good thing. But can we get some high res copies these? I'd love to make that Takadox picture my desktop. He was such a bad set, but you made him look awesome!
  15. Your sense of humor is top notch, sir.
  16. Are you talking about the new line? I live in the US, and I snatched up all the 2009 Pirate sets when they came out, they all had shooting cannons. I had a few sets from the '90s that had non-shooting cannons (with the symbols on top) and the first shooting cannons I got were with the re-issue of Fort Legorado.
  17. This is convincing and great, and greatly convincing!
  18. I have to agree with funkybrick on this one. Some of the parts of this weapon seem like they're molded too small, creating un-LEGO-like details. I'm glad this is going to come in many colors.
  19. I'd buy it for $10. That game was great.
  20. I've been looking for a LEGO convention within driving distance of Baltimore. Thank you.
  21. One of the best things I've ever seen.
  22. I found a Neptune Discovery Lab behind newer boxes on the bottom shelf at TRU in 1997/1998 (I forget which). It may not seem ridiculous now, but it blew my young mind back then. Didn't get it.
  23. Top hat, now and forever.
  24. They should just make this the set. I'd buy it.
