I have severals wheels and no one with the wrong pins Sometimes I wash my wheels from dust and loop pile carpet removing the pin; after the re-assembling phase it isn't possible to distinguish what it was made

When the pin has a different color from the wheel it means that the original pin was broken and badly replaced You have to register a complaint

Welcome Ced64 The 7740 set has been my first love when a was a child On Bricklink you can find everything, but for the motor ask to see a picture of its bottom to verify the electric contacts In your picture I can see also a 4,5 switch point, do you own other train sets?
