  1. This is really exciting! Loving the Robot (12). And new hairpieces for 10 and 13. And my MOC hamburger joint just got itself a new mascot for figure 3, "McLovin the Clown". I'll be popping these babies like SW fanatics pop battle packs.
  2. I love this topic...and the timing is perfect. Lego Cities across the world are facing a huge deficit due to governments excessive spending on city services like fire and police (it seems like every other citizen in town is a fire fighter or police officer). For too long the health care system has suffered with city infrastructures lacking sufficient services like hospitals and schools. Though their have been some supplemental emergency services like 7903 Rescue Helicopter and 2064 Air Ambulance, I agree with TheBrickster that the primary and emergency care services are not keeping pace with the growth of ever expanding Table Town communities.. In 2009, I propose a new comprehensive medical center that will meet the growing demands of café corner and classic town styled communities world wide. The new hospital would be CC style in design but with classic town architectural features like helicopter pad and ambulance emergency parking retaining the classic red and white color design. The new medical center would include a primary care ward, a maternity ward, and surgery center with outpatient care faculties and plenty of hospital rooms for the growing table town communities. Below is a preliminary design for a 2010 Medical Facility under construction now. I’ll post pictures of the final version in December for contribution to this topic. Great article TheBrickster!
  3. Hey Tavernello! Good to see you on EB! Do you have any new shots of the town?
  4. Wow grogall! That is totally what I am hoping it is! What country is that picture of the Emporium located? I can totally live with a creamy yellow (rather than traditional yellow or tan) as the base for the building and some light bluish gray as the stone sides. Jamie B. is good at convincing TLG to mass produce rare colors. What would be spectacular is if the roof looks like the picture you posted made with sand green as TLG expands the sand green line into other brick types like steep slopes and tiles.
  5. Thanks for the welcome! I really love these speculator topics during this time of year.
  6. I also think Public Transportation Center with Monorail. I speculate the Monorail will be yellow to match the city buses they already have with 7641 City Corner.
  7. Not a good value! I have purchased the 10x14x8 box ($150), the PAB cups ($15), and the bulk boxes that the pieces are shipped in ($70). Here is my experience. It takes 6 cups to fill the brown bulk box with 1 x 1 pieces (I tried). 6 times $15 is $90, It takes 10 cups (9 and 1 half) to fill the 10x14x8 box (140 bucks). You are better off buying 11 cups for $165 or 10 cups for $140 (you save about $10) but the best deal is if they let you buy the brown bulk pack direct from Lego for $70 (you save $20!). Orlando allows this and so do other stores I have visited. However, if you buy plates or large flat pieces go for the big box stacked tight...
  8. As always this is very exciting (I actually expected a bank). I like the name Grand Emporium. I expect maybe 2 or three shops in the building. I hope TLC marketing allows for nice details like furniture to sell or electronics products like plasma TV's, stereos etc.
