B-V-16A to B-V-16D Since tomorrow's Independence Day here in the US, I thought it would be a good time to *finally* continue my Scout Law series. gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=180015 This vignette is a "Thank You" to all those who have served or are currently serving in the military (both of my sisters included). Keep up the good work! :D Have a happy fourth!

I'm not big into primetime television, but I watched the pilot episode of Kyle XY last night and just had to vignettize it. For those of you who didn't see it, this is the scene where the cops show up at a rowdy teen party. Kyle, wanting to protect a "family member," proves that the cop is no match for him. gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=191754

Aye, Happy Birthday to the lot of ya! Hope you get plenty of Lego! ;-) -
I put a better reply on CC, but this is still really awesome. I went through the wikipedia article a bit, too, which was pretty interesting. Have fun on your trip!

:-D That is the hardest I've laughed in a few days. Really! That tender moment with King Mathias especially cracked me up. I, too, look forward to seeing Toothpaste Dude. X-D

If You Were Johnny Thunder...
eNiGMa replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'd take a spoon. Think about it; with a spoon, one can eat, row a boat (very slowly, however), reflect sunlight into rescuers' eyes, dig holes (leave no trace ;-)), deflect laser beams, do balancing acts on their nose to distract hostile Natives, carve things into dirt and rocks, and stab people (who says you can't stab someone with a spoon?). You can have your knives, radios, and compasses. I'll be the one living in style. X-D -
It helps him not get shot. :-P Really, though, thanks for the tip! I'd overlooked that detail. :-$

Alright, just in time for my birthday! Thanks for the heads-up!

I've been dying to do this scene for a long time. Enjoy! gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=162984

I don't think so, but it might. I tried it while looking at the flag on the left tower, and it still worked. It'll work with just about anything, as long as you're focused on that one thing the whole time. It has to do with the pieces of the eye called rods and cones--the rods see black and white, and the cones see color. By focusing on the black pin (or other part of the picture, if you so choose), you are exercising your rods. Then (while still focusing, of course) when the cursor moves into the picture, you see it out the corner of your eye and throws the focus just a little bit--enough to fire up the cones. Since there's no color in the picture, the cones have nothing to see, right? Well, since they've been unused this whole time, they let off some chemicals to regain balance, thus causing you to see the image in color. lol Sorry, neurobiology is a little interest of mine. X-D

Not bad. Not bad at all. My favorite features are the shoulder plates and the legs, but the guns are interesting, too. And you're already ahead of me; I haven't tried mecha yet! Welcome to EB!

Awesome stuff! "Let me hear you say it once." "You're insane!" "NO!" :-D
-
Hey, it worked! :-D That's so cool!

Creative introduction title, interesting name, and fan of Lego. Yes, I think you'll contribute well here. Welcome!

This is the final part of Lehi's vision of the Tree of Life that I'll be building. It took me a long time to figure out how to build it, though; at first I figured it could be another Big Vig (sorry, shameless plug :P), but that plan fell through so I went for something wide rather than something tall. That didn't work either... but finally I have something that I can present to you! What do you think? gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=162984

Looks interesting, to say the least. I'll wait till more members show up before I join, though. Thanks for pointing this out!

Very cool. I love the construction, but even more I love the fact that it looks like it would be very fun to fly around in.

I found out on the first day of my vacation that my piano teacher of ten years had passed away that day. However, since I was to be gone for a while, I would have to miss the funeral; it hurt terribly. Well, today I built a memorial vignette to make up for missing the funeral. Credit goes to Dunechaser for the piano design. gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=190282 Building this has really helped me feel better. Let this be a testament to the healing properties of Lego!

:-D That's pretty hilarious. I would have also prefered a "real" MOC, but this CGI is still really cool.

The true story behind Vader's mask. -
How appropriate--today is the anniversary of D Day! The MOC itself is very cool. I've always been fascinated with the German rail gun, and you've done well in building one.

Ah yes, good ol' Professor Farnsworth.... Thanks for the tips! I'm actually writing all of these down for possible use in future chapters. :-) Thanks for all the comments!

CAPTION 1: Some wounds just never heal. CAPTION 2: It'll take two medical droids to fix this mess. -
Thanks for the comments! Yeah, that hat is one of my favorites. It can be used in any theme and still look really cool.

I really like this! It's got a lot of nice greebly bits, and the whole thing looks very swooshable. Someday I will have to build one of these....
