It's been awhile since I posted anything so I thought I would share my current outlet for LEGO, which seems to be large mosaics. Nothing is smaller than 96x114 studs. I have found that working in grey-scale seems to produce some awesome results, but Batman did need to be done in colour, he is just under 5 feet tall (112x192 studs). Enjoy. HI all, Just picked up 138 Whistle Train and got it all set up. The only problem I am having is that the instructions are all in Danish (?) and we are trying out figure out what positions the switch on the battery box needs to be to make it go forward/reverse? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Hi all, Just trying to find out some information about a Lego money box I just picked up at a local fair. It is a ceramic military drum money box. It is stamped with the word Lego on the bottom - is it real Lego or a knock off? It has a crest on one side which looks like an eagle. We are trying to just find out a year etc, so when people ask we can give them the right story. I can post a pic if it will help. Cheers

I'm heading over from Adelaide for this with my FJ Holden (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=67514) and some miniland goodies. As for Ryan's Aircrane helicopter, I've seen one pic and making the 800km journey will be worthwhile just to see that in the flesh.

My employer is having a DIY Disaster month, so instead of having some bent pipe etc on display, I decided to make up a 10x fig and leaking sink. Yep. Found the instructions over at Brickset and shuffled through the parts I have. No Lego stores in Oz so all monthly mini builds have to from preowned parts.

No particular reason. Just started playing with ideas and thought he works well with the colours I had laying around.

I never managed to get to this store, but I found the sculpture hidden away in the National Motor Museum in Birdwood South Australia. I took a stack of photo's, came home and started reverse engineering the model. After about 3 months of work this is the final (well for now) version. Microfig? Nah. Minifig? Nah. Miniland? Nah. Try 1.6 meters tall and 90cm wide. Makes for an amazing wall hanging. I have been toying with making overly large displays etc. So I started off just making the head and then worked down from there. The bollards and shovel were added on later, as I though it needed something in front of it to make it look a bit more 'lifelike' Overview off all the parts of the sculpture How tall is it? B-OV-28B Recently the Mount Pleasant show was on (country fair would be a northern hemisphere way of describing it), and they had an open Lego build section. The only restriction was that it had to be under 50cm square. This was my entry, which was entitled 'The Day at the Farm'. I put about 12 hours into the design and build, and ended up with first prize. Pretty chuffed about it as it was my first public showing of any of my builds. And the grand prize for first place? $3! Which I gladly donated back to the show society. After all, we build for fun, not for money. 'You want me to shovel what?!'

No I don't build this fast, just catching up on showing what I have been doing. Adding onto the miniland modulars I have been building, may I present the Cafe Corner. With a 51cm (20 inch) square base and rising to 76cm (30 inches) at the top of the spire the Cafe is under redevelopment in Miniland. This is due to s lack of the 'right' brick in the current brick stocks. Again I have no idea how many bricks are in this, but I am starting to dwindle the collection down. Enjoy one and all.

I started building this just after the announcement of the micro-modular buildings. The Green Grocer is my first completed 'up-scale'. Cafe Corner is 80% complete and I'll put up some pics shortly. For the record this size Green Grocer is 66cm (26 inches) at it's highest point, 51cm (20 inches) wide and 26cm (10 inches) deep. The reason for these only being approximately half the depth of what they should be is due to lack of bricks in my collection and also physical size. As for the number of bricks int he model, who knows. I worked on the theory of doubling the standard size brick or plate to make it mini land scale. Not too sure how I managed to get the exclusive fig as I ordered three PoTC sets from Shop at home. But hey this is Australia, so anything is possible.
