6277 is worth significantly more than the ship so I would definitely choose this if the prices are the same. You can see how many sales and the prices they sold for by the month on bricklink if any have been sold at all. I would also use ebay as a reference.

Ah man great news!!!! What was the prices on them? When I place my order for the imperial ship I'm going to have to add about 8 of these.

I got an answer back and they said they where messaging the wrong person. So I guess all is well. Thanks for the responses, there are definitely some characters on EBay.

I've been selling random things on EBay for about 4 months now and had some success until today. I had an odd message from one of my buyers. It said that I had claimed to have shipped their package on December 7th and they had not received it and wanted a tracking number (I didn't give them the tracking number when I shipped the item for whatever reason). Now what is strange about this is I have already received positive feedback from them for the item last week and my tracking number shows it was delivered on the 12th. So I sent them the tracking number and asked them nicely what was going on. This item sold for less than $8 american. Is this person trying to scam me? Anyone experienced something like this before? What can they actually do to damage my reputation or paypal or am I safe? Thanks in advance

I've been reading this every day. It is very entertaining, thanks for doing this for us who can't get a copy (in the states).

I picked this set up off ebay a few months ago and ended up reselling it. The set design is nice and I like everything about it except for the way the doors lead into the water. Adding one more row of studs in front of the door would have worked wonders. This is really a small issue though because the set works so well alone. The crane and dock with the boat and small building is perfect for a kid to enjoy and rebuild into lots of different things. The real problem I had with it though and the reason I got rid of it is because it just doesnt fit in with the other sets. I have quite a few imperial sets and the colors of this one stand out too much. Maybe if we had more armada sets to put this with it would have worked out much better. Overall I would give it a 7 out of 10. If the colors fit in better with the other lego pirate sets or if it had a few more armada sets to match with I would bump it up to a 8 or possibly a 9.

You should be good, Target in the US was selling them for 40$ on black friday. Sad I got there late and they had aleady sold out.

That site you posted has them for about 13$ US plus shipping. A little more than I was hoping they would retail for. I have a feeling they will be cheaper once they hit the shelves.

My favorites are troll warship for the large ship, skeleton ship attack for the dock/castle (the ship is not the greatest), and the sea serpent in general because I've always liked it since the day it was released but could never get it. Special mention for the viking ship. I'm not really a fan of it but i think the way they put the two small boats together to make a larger one is brilliant.

I keep seeing people talk about lego releasing a 32 x 32 baseplate as a single item sometime soon. I've even seen the packaging somewhere maybe on another forum on this site but I dont remember. Does anyone know more info about this? I'm curious about the release date and possible pricing.

I went to all 3 targets within 20 miles of me at noon today and they were all sold out of both the sale sets. I was kind of hoping to snag a warship but I can't complain too bad since I was late. The display in Target shows the sale goes on for 2 days (the price display under the 2 lego sets on the shelf) but I asked them to check the back and had none. I wonder if they will have more tommorow or later today or if they are all gone.

I don't know how he gets those bricks but it annoys the hell out of me when im searching for legos and 100 of his auctions comes up. It annoys me even more with the whole picture only represents an example thing.

To post a follow up on this question I made a while back I purchased a second soldier's fort. Toyed around with it for a few weeks and decided having 2 just isn't that great. I even tried to MOC a few things but other than the base (water/dock) parts you really don't get enough pieces to make much more than what you already have( a prison and a tower) without adding many many more pieces. The figures aren't impressive either if you already have all the sets you have multiple Brickbeards and soldiers. So I sold it on eBay and bought a second shipwreck hideout. At least with this set you have a good selection of pieces and some (slightly) more interesting figures. Had I waited a week I would have grabbed a second BB at TRU with their 30 percent off sale. Although with the imperial flagship comming I dont have much need to MOC a second ship so I probably made the best choice with shipwreck hideout. Funny note, I originally hated shipwreck hideout when the line came out and it was the LAST set I bought but the more I look at it the more I like it. I just wish it wasn't a TRU exclusive. I hate giving them my money after they raise the prices so much.

So to change the subject a little from the cancelation of the pirate line I figured I would propose an interesting question that I have been thinking about for a few days. If you had 1 of every 2009 pirate set (and a bunch of cannon battles) and you had some extra money to buy 1 more set from the line what would it be. I was looking at everything and I can't decide. Lets assume for this that price is not an option and this will be the last 2009 pirate set you buy. Leave out the re-sale value of the pieces or the set, this is strictly for your own use. BB is wonderful but I don't see a great reason to buy a second one. It does have some cool parts and minifigs but I dunno. Soldier's fort is what I'm leaning towards. I can think of a bunch of cool things to do with the modular pieces and it does have some cool minifigs as well. Shipwreck hidout is nice to have 1 but I think when it comes down to parts the BB has everything and more except the female pirate. Loot island is bleh for me. I bought it to get the minifigs and to have all the sets but I really dont see a use for 2 of this one. Although the baseplate is interesting. Kraken attackin . . . 1 is plenty. Lets assume we have already had our fill of cannon battles and the impulse sets. Please explain your answer a little maybe to discuss some parts or playability you like of a specific set. any way we could get a poll mods?
