  1. Does anyone who has this also have 75150 (Vader's TIE and A-Wing). I am curious if the TIE scales are similar to make a good display of the final scene in ANH.
  2. Yeah, it’s bounced between available and sold out sine my post. Don’t stop trying!
  3. Went on sale a couple minutes before midnight. Sold out by 12:17 (I didn’t check until then - it could’ve sold out even quicker)
  4. Star Wars has been about toy money since Kenner hit it big in 1978 with their line. This is not something you can pin on Disney. lol.
  5. Bespin duel up now in the USA. Limit 3
  6. Darn. Thanks for the reply. I'll keep searching! I'm much more interested in a display cabinet like this than I am the coffee table look.
  7. Has anyone tried displaying this vertically in the wide fabrikor cabinet from IKEA? dimensions are 81cm wide, 42cm deep and113cm high. I know I need 84cm, but with the extra depth over the needed 34cm, I may be able to set the stand a bit diagonally to get the 3cm I need. Thoughts? https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00363171/
  8. All I can do is repeat what they told me. I was in the store this morning and also noted that the built display was no longer out on display.
  9. My local Lego store informed me today that the set is off the shelf until Fall due to a technical issue with the set. Anyone hear anything similar?
  10. 10188 Death Star. It is my favorite and not likely to be topped, IMO. It has everything, size, playability and tons of minifigs. It's my favorite Lego set of any theme. -John
  11. Does anyone know the scoop on the Tantive IV 10198 release date change? s@h now lists it at 10/23. I was stoked to go to the lego store on friday and get this and fire brigade! rats! -John
  12. Thanks, yeah, I understand it's a Star Wars thread. I primarily collect Lego Star Wars, but when talking of sealed sets I thought I'd share my story. People are talking about how difficult it is or isn't to keep a set sealed...figured I'd show one that had been kept sealed for 25 years! there's one of these on ebay for like 99 cents, fwiw. -John
  13. I don't buy current sets and keep them sealed, but I'll share an fun accident related to this. The other day, brickset had photos of a set that I had completely forgotten about. It was the police headquarters, 370-1 from the mid-late 70s. I had that set and knew I still had my original legos in the basement. I was fortunate enough to find what I think is probably 90% of the original set I had way back when, including the baseplate. I also found some of the older style legos that were from my older brother (plastic-y colors, bottoms are different, lego people are huge with big round heads. Also found an idea book from the mid-80s with some of the stickers left. I remember totally being into Lego, but they really cool space sets and castle sets were just too expensive to justify at the time. Anyway, this big bag of legos from the 70s and 80s, I find this: I know it's not really worth anything $$-wise, and it's kind of cool to have it after all these years. Turns out up until a few years ago, it was stuck in my mom's desk with a bunch of old school photos, papers, etc...it had just never been given to me for whatever reason. Anyway: the dilemma of it is, open or leave sealed???? -John
