If the head's the only thing you don't like then I think you should still get it, since the pros greatly outweigh that con. I'm not a fan of the head, either, but at least the Hau covers it well from the side (unlike the Avohkii). Also, the designers had to use either the Av-Matoran head or the Glatorian head, so they probably went with the former so the new Hau would be more accurate to the original.
-
Problem is they're different colors. The armor is Brutaka gold and the Avohkii is bronze gold.

Since I had some free time, I went ahead and took some pictures of Tahu: The Canister The Lid The Back of the Canister Hau Comparison From the Front Hau Comparison From the Inside Hau Comparison From the Side The Hau on Ackar Tahu From the Front Tahu From the Side Tahu From the Back The Head From the Side Size Comparison A Classic Pose With Takanuva With the Gold Hau Toa Mata Look Familiar?

Fairly noticable. It's also very slightly reflective.
-
I tried a few different ways, but the pieces always look the same in the pics.
-
I found Tahu and Takanuva today. Takanuva's alright, but Tahu is awesome. I also noticed that even though the Hau is Brutaka gold, it's a bit shinier than other pieces with that color.
-
Tahu looks incredibly awesome. I have a feeling I'll be getting two of them. One who's normal and one with the golden armor.

I honestly think that aside from the color scheme, Takanuva doesn't look like Solek at all. Here's a list of the similarities and differences between the sets: Similarities: -Head -Torso -Color scheme -Blades Differences: -Mask -Limbs -Feet -Hands -Solek has a jet pack, Taka does not -Taka has torso armor, Solek does not -Taka has shoulder armor, Solek does not -Taka has rods attached to the ends of the blades, making them staffs, and Solek just has the blades Overall I think Takanuva has more differences than the set's given credit for.
-
*ahem* Note aside from the different hand piece that's how the weapon is built.
-
Technically it's 2 staffs.
-
I guess the folder's been edited. Hopefully that means new pics. Here are the Nektann images and here are the Rahkshi images.

I think we can pretty much say for certain now that the Stars are the only winter sets. They have full plastic canisters, as well as instruction booklets, just like any canister set. In addition, if there were any other Bionicle sets, chances are they would've been advertised somewhere in the booklet. Instead the ad's for Ben 10.

I found more images here.

I doubt that's the reason. Shock or not, the Ignika knows Tahu, and the two were allies in the Karda Nui saga. The Ignika only did that to Icarax because he attacked it. I'm thinking Tahu has the Ignika change him to his Mata form on purpose, possibly so he's able to use the golden armor.

Around when do you think those 2010 sets will get to come out of those boxes? I also really like the Ehlek image. It's probably my favorite Barraki.
-
Because they sold horribly. Personally, I greatly prefer the vehicles.

Regarding Tahu's gold mask: 10) Yup Is Tahu's gold Hau one of the Golden Kanohi, or is it just a Hau that happens to be gold? -A great thanks as always It is not one of the gold Kanohi from 2001, no.
-
Maybe the return of the Golden Kanohi?
-
He has the Nuva shoulder armor in white.

From an entry on Bink's BZP blog posted exactly 1 month ago, on August 23rd:
-
I have a feeling that something huge is gonna be happening with Bionicle as a whole in 2010. Only time will tell whether that/those thing/s will be good or bad.
-
It was first said quite some time ago, but I forget by who (guessing it was Greg). I know he said recently that he's been working on the story for the 2010 film. BS01 has had this line on its "Movies and Animations" page for months, possibly a year:
-
I really doubt this because Lego's planning on making two more Bionicle movies. If the line is ending in 2010 then there would only be one other film.
-
If you look here you'll see that his weapons are actually staffs, like in his 03 set. He just has two of them now.
-
It's a bit ironic that a set with such a massive storyline role sold so poorly. I didn't stop seeing his Mahri form on store shelves until the Legends came out. At least we'd get a cool new head sculpt like with Vezok and the Rahkshi.
