I think I finally found an engine mod that I like (in reality it is the only one that I have seen). Found it on another forum site. I made some changes to the original mod because I didn't have the right elements. If you would like a link to the original forum posting send me a message and i'll forward it. I also made changes to the nose from the original post that I posted here. I took the advise from some of you and made it a stud shorter. Let me know what you think. Suggestions always welcomed. Anyways here are the pics:
I agree robianco that the cannon needs to be a little longer. In LDD I had a 1x1 cone with 3m bar sticking out attached to the tap. Well in LDD it works, so I'm looking for a different solution for the real world.
TWP here is the link http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/41024 . You'll notice that I changed the front of the speeder and behind the seat. The rest pretty much stayed the same.
I was browsing the Cuusoo pages and stumbled upon a 74-Z Speeder Bike. I really liked the way it looked, so I figured I give it a shot and try building it. This is my first true MOC so I'm sure there are some improvements that I could make. I've made some changes to the original concept.
Yes. Just a few extra part. Most came from the original nose. Here is the link for my lxf.
I've been playing around with the engines in LDD but I have been able to come up with anything that would look better. I'm starting to think at this point in time their isn't the right element out there. I have been searching the forums hoping to see a mod but I haven't.
I couldn't stand how the nose looked on this set. Following mattewtyson lxf I think I managed a better compromise look. It's much better than the blunt nose the set original came with. I changed the top of it a bit but overall it was his design. The nose is 1 stud longer.
