  1. I did not have an issue with any pieces being loose in the box and there were actually quite a lot of extra pieces. Once the set was built. I didn't notice any issue with the wall plates being loose or coming off to easily. Once they were n place they seem to hold well until I need to open it up. I noticed the issue with the double print overlap image on the cockpit build, it was only on 1 image so not bad. Probably all the initial manuals were printed that way. The top piece does need to be removed to push the on/off button, but the whole plate is held with two studs and removes easily.
  2. I grabbed one from my local B&M store on Friday morning, there were a couple others also buying the set as well. I will be picking up another one sometime in the near future.
  3. Very nice Work!
  4. It is available in the US as a keychain. If you want you could buy one and remove the ring. Just an option, not everyone likes using those after they have been removed though. Keychain link
  5. I believe it was mentioned at Brickworld by TLG that these figures were very successful but not for the reasons intended or even for the same target audience. I seem to recall a conversation where the marketing was to get people/children new to Lego to purchase a lego at a low cost then get the upsell of a larger set and grow the Lego brand with the target audience. I also remember hearing that series 2 will have the same product run that series 1 did, the qty out in the field will be the same as series 1. Series 3 will probably be re-evaluated as to production qty, marketing and target audience.
  6. I don't recall the set number and I cant find it online but it was a basic or universal kit from late 70's early 80's. The yellow castle and police HQ 381 are one of the second ones I had. I always wanted fabuland but never had any growing up.
  7. Thanks for the great review. I am looking forward to purchasing this set. I really like the engine and it is a great way to get the train, track and PF items all in one shot. I am a late bloomer to Trains and the Emerald Night really got me interested in Lego trains.
  8. You may have referred to me as a jerk once or twice and mistaken me for I scream clone :)
  9. close enough, :) Quarryman is right though, my BW badge said Rich. I believe we met briefly near the EB layout on Saturday, you seemed extremely busy running around here and there.
  10. Fantastic Review Chris!
  11. haha! Was nice meeting you. We will have to share a proper Metric Pint next year!
  12. I'm still disappointed I didn't see anyone tap dance on 6,000 neatly arranged minifgures.
  13. I have always been more of a lurker on EB but here is my take on BW 2010. It was cool meeting CopMike, I Scream Clone and Quarryman. I met them Friday night in line at the dmaaged box sale and stopped by their layout to hang out throughout the day. I have been to the previous BW events but this was my first year as an attendee, I definitely had a great time and it was cool to meet people who's MOC's I have seen online. next time around I will stop by the Tot-Lug layout when Dave and Stacey are there to say hi. Next year I hope to have better planning to make it Thur and Friday during the day for workshops etc.. and I think I am actually going to stay at the hotel. The 40 min drive back and forth for a couple days is a bit much.
  14. Just to clarify, I did not create the tents. I merely took the photo, I do not recall who created them. And thanks for the Welcome!
  15. Check out these as seen at Brickworld 2009.
