I think it'll be a long shot if we ever get anything but IF we get any news on a super hero CMF line, it'll be at SDCC. Even if we don't get any news on it, I'm hoping they'll have some kind of good reveal for us.

No, the biggest hurdle was that the licensing would push the cost of the CMF to $3.99 and up until the Simpsons, Lego hasn't wanted to cross that barrier. There is also some concern that the company who makes the action figures might have exclusive rights to make them. This happened with star wars/Hasbro in the early 2000's and Lego was slapped with a cease and desist order. I heard that CMF sales have slowed and, while they're still solid sales numbers, that's why Lego is willing to finally explore licenced figs for the CMF line. Believe me, I'm hoping we'll see a DC or Marvel line of CMF in the next year or two.

I don't want to be overly negative, but I'm outright disgusted at what figs were picked...but it was done by a vote...I guess the ~15% of Lego's business, that the AFOLs account for, voted way differently than the rest of the VIP's.

I heard the Dark Knight was a little too "dark" for Lego's taste. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see any TDKR since the new Nolan movies are grittier. Don't get me wrong, I love these movies and I want some TDKR sets but even the 4 sets that came out when Dark Knight was out, were 3 "fluff sets" (though I'd buy another 7886 if I had the chance ) and The Tumbler.

I have my fingers crossed that we'll see batman sets before Christmas but the more I harrass my local Lego retail store they're steering me more toward a March release. I'm hoping, if that's the case, Lego won't sell them directly until later but TrU will still get them out in '11.

I would love to see a jet made entirely made out of trans-clear bricks. I don't see it happening since this is a 'boys theme' and I would imagine that since wonder woman just got tossed into a set, that's all they'll do with her until they think about doing a Hall of Justice (or some other big, all inclusive set). I hope I'm wrong but I am just happy they made wonder woman.

I know Lego plans out their sets 2-3 plus years in advance...is there a non-castle theme somewhere that you might know about? I'm as excited as the next guy about LotR sets but I like my castles without a "license tax."
-
We also need to remember that there is the chance for there to be some store exclusives too...Harley and Green Latern could be in a TrU, Target, or Walmart exclusive. With as big as Super Heroes has the potential to be, I could see the major chains wanting exclusives even though there weren't any for HP or PotC. Edit: looks like Geki Brick beat me to my thought

OMG, brick built sentinel? Yes, please! Been so long since I've read xmen that I forgot about them. I have my fingers crossed for Dr Stange, Iron Fist and Luke Cage; for Marvel. DC, I hope the get into some more secondary super man characters, like super girl (or power girl) or steel; and villians Doomsday (maybe with a hulk type mold).

I have to agree too. I'm not excited that most of these are just remodeled after the last wave of Batman, but I work at a brand store and we have kids looking for the sets they saw in the Lego Batman video game. So it makes sense that this first wave will be a big nod to the old sets.
-
I'm sad there's no sign of Green Latern...I heard from an inside source he was supposed to be included in one of these sets
-
My money is on Kingdoms being replaced by LOTR, though that's not confirmed yet, and Space Police has long been replaced by Alien Conquest (which is also absent) There is a chance we could see both themes released this summer, but Space Police is definitely done. Looks like this is it...(not that this list is anything to shake a stick at)

*ding ding* Now that I can get behind.

I take it these are Barns and Nobles prices again (since you mentioned that in City 2012). These look pretty good; I didn't know that B&N was competitive on their bricks. But with this pricing I might pick up the first 3 sets.
-
Doesn't Barns and Noble drive the price up like Boarders did? Its been forever since I've seen their brick prices so I could be wrong, but could these be a little inflated (like TrU inflated, if not higher)?
