Well, the move begins in about 6 weeks, I will begin Operation Brickbox immediately, I will post pictures of my progress, and thanks again everyone for the advice! Wish me luck!
Ok, this is my first Star Wars build worth posting, so dont hate it too much!
This is the 76 Cantina, a small sleezy cantina owned by Earl Kamern.
This is Earl, the gruff but friendly bartender/owner
A corrupt Imperial officer talking to the local crime lord, Bingo (so menacing)
A friendly game of Sabacc
The bouncer and a not-so-friendly deal
People with bounties on their head should watch their back!
Poor mans HoloNet booth
Imperial Raid!
Please comment and criticize! Thanks for watching!
Hm... I will think about the bags, that is a good idea, and the good news is my mother is just moving to another part of our town, so shipping is no problem, I can do that myself
Thanks for all the advice everyone! I dont really wanna destroy all my sets, because I think i have more sets then pieces But I will if I have to, and I think I have all my instructions, I have a 30 pound filing box full of them. What I will probably do is destroy my smaller sets, or just pile loads of them in boxes, and then, depending on the sets, place the big ones in boxes/knock them down. My sturdier ones will be boxed, and then the fragile ones will be broken and remade at my new house (yay shelves on my wall!)
But if anyone has any suggestions other than this, please say so!
Thanks again everyone!
Ok, my parents are splitting up and I need to move my fairly large collection of sets to my mother's house, how does one do it? I am not so worried about my individual pieces, as they are all in boxes. However, the majority of my collection are sets, some fragile (Brickbeards Bounty), and some that can be thrown and cannot be destroyed (90's Y-wing). So how do the experts pack up their sets so they can survive the journey to lands unknown?
I just smash mine into the smallest shape possible, and then recycle them, all of my instructions are in a filing box, which weighs about 1000 pounds, but I really like the binder idea.
I agree, considering they make about 1000 billion bricks a day (technical term ) There is bound to be a mistake somewhere, i dont blame them in the slightest. I know i couldnt make even two that look the same :)
Thanks for all the comments everyone! I am changing it up a little bit, mainly by compacting it and taking away some people, making more classically. If that makes any sense!
Ok, I am usually a pirate guy, but i want to expand my horizons. This is my first attempt, so please dont judge too hard!
Specs: about 10 spearmen, 4 archers, 3 knights
I hope you enjoyed it!
Interesting thread, but fun, so here we go...
I have two major factions made up of little factions
Faction 1: Royals- Consisting of the crownies and the original lion knights, as well as a wizard, some dwarves and 4 spartans
Faction 2: Barbarians: Consisting of vikings, ninjas, indians, native americans, orcs, trolls, skeletons, gungans and other such folk
Only the Royals have a castle.
Looks great! the only thing i would change is if it was a round topped wagon, but hey, i am an oregonian and i believe in traditional-ness...
But good job, it looks good!
well for a grenade i was thinking a 1x1 round brick with one of the new fire pieces sticking out of it. For a transport, I would suggest a longboat, the most common way of transportation. Also there are their feet, which was common upon land (naturally); There is evidence of use of horses as well, but i dont think it was that common. Good luck with your horde!
