Hello all, has been years I have not been online over here - kind of dark ages returned (almost - at least my son played a lot with lego). When he was into Castle (one of the best themes) 3 years ago I kind of went a little crazy and amassed what I considered a cool Castle and some minifigs. Now his dark ages began - soccer and playstation - and I want to sell his Castle collection. As it was quite a ride collecting all those figs and 2 7946 to build one I consider playworthy and big enough I'm really not sure how to price it. When I take bricklink average it would be a lot of money - is it a plus or a minus having so many and selling them in a bulk. Not sure... Anyway, as I know there are many collectors around here I thought I'd share it here too - maybe we find a fair price and someone is happy adding it to the collection. Any offers welcome. https://imgur.com/FBm2xns https://imgur.com/z2zM8go https://imgur.com/W7lUKWe https://imgur.com/MW9cP7y

great to see quality and momentum of new posts growing day by day! some really cool shots! sorry for not replying sooner / @dummyshot: i stuck a blaster in the "flying" dummies head and moved him while taking the shot. the blaster isn't really visible thanks to the black background. so yes, it's not photoshopped. here's a new vader portrait, i think i've done so many before i can't count them. was experimenting with very close lighting (the phone was just cm away) Vador by leg0fenris, on Flickr

thanks everyone, yep, that's an indor one. the whole scene is on "sand" on my kitchen table at the size of about a 30x30 baseplate. i tried to achieve some forced perspective with the crawler (10 studs high an just some brown parts and the city). lighting is not perfect an i had to do some editing... but next time i know how to do it :)

we've narrowed it down to top 3 - no there's a little detail to be discussed and some feedbacks written. very soon... it's a hard job to coordinate and judge a contest via pm..

Mrs Fenris helped me out a little too ... great entries. Hard job. We'll do our best but picking only the best 3... hard, hard, hard. Thanks for all the contributions!

very cool outdoor stuff! Place to go A lot of people think that the Mos Eisley Cantina is the coolest place to go. But if you want a galactic hangover, pub-brawls and drinking competitions with the galaxy's most badass guys "Brows Place" is where you should go... Place to go by legofenris, on Flickr

very nice! the second shot could be easily going to the "x-mas photography contest" as an entry - why not entering?
-
he thinks you don't need a spoiler

ok, kim was faster if you'd crop the first one to the bottom-scene or something like that... it would be perfect. of course, you'd lose some hillarious and great scenes but there are so many little scenes in that part of the picture that it still would be an very, very good entry. btw: the quality of the pic in your first post seems to be much better... really good work! edit: actually i didn't want to comment on photos submited but as you are the amongst the first and i've added the comment in the general thread later than you submission it seems very ok to me to do so...
-
great entry! keep those coming! i've already posted in the "contest-thread" - a little advice: crop out as much of "non-lego" or scenery parts as possible to keep the "this shot was made in a lego world"-effect as high as possible.
-
hiho everybody! seeing the first two entries this sontest looks very promessing! one little remark: keep in mind that it's a photographic contest. of course, an awesome setup (moc) and a funny idea is part of it (and an important one) but if you want a little advise: keep "backgrounds" that are not part of the scene as limited as possible - it harms the "illusion" that the shot was actually taken in "legoland". that does of course not mean that outdoor shots are not welcome. only tables, chairs, pets, grandmothers and... should not be on the picture if avoidable. often a little cropping can solve this issue...

11 out of 10 MAX... nothing to add. -
good to see there's some participation! can't wait to see what you can come up with! and from personal experience: you can always make a shot better (unfortunately i'm not a really patient guy). whenever i go through the shots i've taken on a setup i discover details i would like to change... and often it's too late). so take your time!
