  1. Before beginning to copy the Video Game Black Pearl in LDD....the parts need to exist. I did a search but could not find the correct Hull parts in LDD? The middle Hull part exists, but that's all I could find. Does anyone know if the BOW part exists in Ldraw?
  2. I agree, I want the version from the video game.....so time to get to work. I wish we had a LDD version of that one we could access...or at least some great closer in shots like the ones of the Dutchman that were posted. Mine had to be transferred to the store...so hopefully I can pick mine up in a couple of hours. The set is a good jumping off point to build a better MOC.
  3. Just finished mine up last night. I agree it was an enjoyable build, and the new Luke is the best. I had the same parts laying about after I was done as well.....always love extra bits! My only gripe with this version , besides the mandibles....are the gaps in in top / back section. Way TOO wide. (4504 has much smaller gaps.) I do think the overall design of this new one is "light years better" for the most part. I suppose if it sits there staring at me for too long though....I will have to do an overhaul to it.
  4. After building this set, and placing it next to my 4483 AT AT I was pretty disappointed. I have just converted mine using the new "bley" parts to create another 4483. I just wasn't happy with how much smaller the new one is. When you put the two next to each other, you really notice it. Plus, 4483 had speeder bike storage, and taller legs with printed joint dishes. The only problem is the conversion is not cheap. You can see just where things changed from the original to this one....and there are a lot of them. I think it's great they released another one...but I would have liked to have seen a UCS one.
  5. Ha, Glad to see Startender is enjoying my custom Strike Raptors....and I'm very glad to be a part of pulling you OUT of your DARK AGES! Thanks for the email and your pictures look great!
  6. This set says HARD TO FIND in the catalog. Does anyone know which retail place will have these ...Toys R Us by any chance?
  7. It's all Lego. The headpiece is the gold center sprue that holds the 4 gold coins together. The center jewel is a red lightsaber!
  8. I think you meant "TWICKI". Not Twiggy. I have not commisioned any 60's mod females to fly my starfighters! and one of Biddi Biddi Buck. thanks to my good buddy Mark for creating these killer figs to fly my Starfighter!
  9. You asked for pics and here they are! Map Room Indy complete with staff of Ra, Sallah and Belloq.
  10. Thanks for the feedback! This one is called NOSE TO NOSE....which some of you BSG fans may recognize. My instructions are available off my site....but not for download. Each manual takes months to produce, as I strive to mimic the official ones as close as possible. Most of the CAD artwork has be cleaned up, and this takes a long time to do....not to mention parts created from the ground up (since not every lego part is available as an ldraw file yet) Anyone who's attempted to create instructions knows what I mean. Here is a sample page of mine from my Buck Rogers Starfighter model:
  11. Yep, tackled the Classic Cylon Raider already.....and she's huge! The correct scale in fact as she seats all 3 cylons at the controls! Disregard the text on the image. The instruction manual was completed a couple months ago....so that's old news!
  12. My Viper Evolution, going from 1970's classic, MK II, MK VII and finally Chief's Stealth Blackbird.
  13. I have built customs for the Indy Map Room, Belloq with white hat, and Sallah (well of souls).
  14. Funny you mention this. When I saw the BAT TANK set, I immediately thought I could convert it without too much trouble into the Indy Mk VII tank. It was actually a lot more work than than what I had initially thought, although I did use a lot of parts from that set. It certainly is a good starting off point. And if you have this set, you have quite a bit of the inner workings and treads of what you need to make the Indy tank conversion.
  15. Check out my site Brickstruct.com if you are interested in the tank instructions The model contains a lot of parts...but you have to remember a fair amount of them are TANK TREADS. The instruction manual is 43 pages long.
  16. And, the unveil. 442 pieces to build. Has 3 removable missiles, and retractable landing gear skids. more brickshelf pics: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=425446
  17. Continuing with my Battlestar Galactica lineup, Chief is busy at work on the latest Viper MK VII! Yes, it's a teaser picture!
  18. I have also produced a Last Crusade MK VII tank. Mine has tons of features. Removable turret, elevating cannon, opening hatches, opening engine cover with engine, rotating treads, periscope, drivers seat, rotating side cannons.... More pics available on Brickshelf. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=332292
  19. Motors are about $25.00 if you get lucky....they have been climbing in price lately. The older 9V sets are climbing in price as well....even loose , complete with no box. My advice is to be careful with any loose "complete" sets on Ebay. Most of the time they turn out to be incomplete. Bricklink is a better, safer bet, but I would still check the feeback before buying that hard to find set at either place!
