Great MOC! The crystals certainly pop. I really like the design of the droid as well. One of my faves so far.

MMV is def the best of the choices. They're all great but the Village is an all time LEGO classic, imo.

Very nice. Are we sure that this will feature Maersk blue and not Baby Blue blocks?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
jerba replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I suspect that as Series one makes its way to Target and Wal-Mart (which I've already been hearing about) we'll have plenty of these figs to go around. Right now we're all just hyped up and excited about them. I mean they've only been out 2-3 weeks. We're just nervous they're rarer than they really will be, imo. I think it'll be ok in the end. At least thats what I am hoping for. If you're nervous, going out and spending a ton on them may be ok. I'd wait a couple weeks for things to calm down though. I'm missing only two myself, the ninja and wrestler. -
Very nice! I love the clouds of dust as he stops. Very creative! So what is he running from? The Zombies whose clothes he just stole? :)

I'll be there and my two younger brothers should be attending with me. Brickfair is a blast! There will be a ton of people don't worry folks.

For the LOST finale on Sunday night I built a memorable LOST scene. It is John Locke banging on the Swan Hatch wondering what the Island wants from him following the death of Boone. This diorama incorporates the LEGO Red LED and is lit up in the picture. In the show, John asks the Island what it wants from him and the light turns on. As John Locke is a knife man you will find the brickarms machete and knife in this dio. The Hatch isn't as big as it was in the show, I scaled it down to keep the dio small. I hope you LOSTies out there enjoy it. This is my first MOC to be posted on EB, more will follow I'm sure!

Impressive and unique take on the theme. Hadn't EVER thought of anything like it, brilliant.

Ideas for new Adventurers Sets
jerba replied to Tom Bricks's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'd like to see Johnny Thunder in East Africa with some natives (think Masai, more dark skin!) and their huts. Perhaps a safari type set with some tourist folks (perhaps a Theodore Roosevelt type hunter as either a good or bad guy) and of course these sets would provide an opportunity for some new animals! Lions, cheetahs, hyenas, antelope, wildebeast, water buffalo, elephants, giraffes, would all be welcome additions! We would of course see some bi-planes, hot air balloons, cars, trucks, boats, tents, etc. -
This set should have been Indiana Jones discovering the Holy Grail. So where is the knight? :) While I am extremely disappointed we didn't get a few sets to round out Indy (the Tank, anyone?), PoP seems to be making up for it. Great review!

Yikes, I'm hoping they typically overcharge... but to be honest I always thought the figs would sell for around $3 each. When the $1.99 price was quoted I was thrilled but this news is a little disheartening. The "Master Case" seems strange to me. I wonder how many displays that is. But that also makes me wonder why they'd have a bag of 40 and not just sell displays... sheesh, this really turns the whole situation on its head. I'm hoping that we find out solid info soon.

Awesome! I love your Dwarven/Goblin theme. I wish the dwarves would have been explored a little more thoroughly with sets. I'm glad you're adding to the theme. Great work.

Nice review of a good set. The quality REALLY troubles me too. One of the selling points of Lego has always been their quality and not being manufactured in China. Sad to see them do this.

REVIEW: Atlantis 8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub
jerba replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the review! The trans-light green used in this theme is a fail in my opinion. I despise that color. -
Disappointing. I hope they'll reconsider.

Nope I've never been. I'm looking forward to it though! How nervous should I be about bringing MOCs that aren't exactly the most amazing creations? I'd say mine are decent but they aren't Brick Brothers worthy if you get the jist.

Chalk up another AFOL as I'll be at Brickfair! This will be my first Lego gathering and I am quite excited. I'll have a microscale moc and a Power Miners(!) Moc as well. I'm new to the internet scene and haven't been to a convention yet so I'm still catching up on things!

LEGO Pirates Tic Tac Toe - includes 10 minifigures!
jerba replied to The Cobra's topic in LEGO Pirates
Are the tiles glued to the baseplate on the Tic Tact Toe sets? I hope not... Looks great though! -
Great review! I like the set a lot. I'll pick it up for sure. Only downside, the bad guys faces are terrible. Not a fan at all. The Helmets just won't be coming off...

That rounded armored cockpit on the prelim is way better than this newer model. Not a fan of these sets. I think they really blew a great opportunity to have a cool bar or something.

My first post! I was just at Disney World this weekend: No Chrome Stormtrooper. I did get like 300 trans clear cheese slopes though... so awesome. Hopefully the Lego Stores will get these in. I hate hard to get exclusives.
