The Cars sets are going to be Duplo, as I have heard from many sources.

Indiana Jones and the Hunt for the Chrome Minifig

Nice little MOC, it seems to me like a combo of the new cemetry battle and 2008's Temple Escape! -
10210 Imperial Flagship - UPCOMING SET!!!
Imperial Governer replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Indeed, LEGO you tricksters! Then again, the set does not have the Pirates box art, and may not be considered part of the Pirates collection by LEGO. But then again, it has 105% of all Pirates pieces created this year, so it HAS to be part of Pirates! -
10210 Imperial Flagship - UPCOMING SET!!!
Imperial Governer replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
When I first saw this set, I went Oh MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope one day to get it, I mean, LOOK AT IT! THE THING'S A MONSTER! I consider this as a very sneaky marketing tatic made by TLC, to announce the end of the Pirates theme by mid-2010, and announced a new Pirates 2010 set two weeks later? Who knows that more sets might approach? It must be a really great collectable because it doesn't have a Pirates box design, it has the design for a really good collectable! Oh, my, gosh! This is great news for all Pirate fans throughout the universe! -
International Talk Like A Pirate Day 2009
Imperial Governer replied to Captain Zuloo's topic in LEGO Pirates
The Brickbeard's Bounty and the Black Seas Barracuda are pulling into the dock to say, "ARRGH! TODAY IS TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY!" Everyone on Classic Pirates, happy Talk like a Pirate Day! -
Creator is one of the best themes to combine with City. You got airplanes, trucks, ferris wheels, windmills, and other stuff. I know there used to be a comic that the Power Miners got their vehicles from a warehouse in LEGO city, but I'm not a fan of Power Miners, so I can't say. But to me, I usually combine my Creator sets with my City sets.

Many users of Eurobricks are saying that the Pirates probably WON'T be returning in 2010, because of it being an anniversary line. I have some very good reasons why Pirates will return in 2010. 1) The Pirates Advent Calendar includes a regular BLACK shako! Not a shako with the gold medal-like design, a regular black one all the way from 1989! This could mean that the Legend's Pirate sets are being produced again! 2) The Armada helmets are appearing in every single set you could think of! These are 2 VERY good reasons why I believe the Pirates will return 2010!

Take a look at this Pirates sets. These represent the timeline, and change, of LEGO's most famous themes ever. Now, take a look at the sets now. Power Miners, Space Police, and in 2010, Atlantis. LEGO is easing off the historical aspect of the themes lately. Now, take a look at the 2009 Pirate sets. The historical aspect is easing off a bit, but they are STILL AWESOME! Do you think that LEGO really expected the Pirates to become a historical wonderworld (even for historical MOCs ) or just the regular good vs. evil? I think back then, the Pirates sets were much historical. The Islanders started to tip the boat, but then the Armada's lifted it up. Then, with the 2009 sets, the historical feel, to me, was only felt with the Royal Navy Imperials-included sets. What do you guys think? :pir-skull:

I am going up to the LEGO store in the Palisades Mall this Friday! The problem is, I was hoping to get the Echo Base set- but the store didn't get a delivery of Echo Base's this week, so there won't be ANY at the store on Friday! But, not to fear, I have TWO back-up plans: the Castle Drawbridge Defense or the Indiana Jones Venice Canal Chase set. Now, I have a $40 budget, and I have just enough for one of those 2 sets. The problem IS , I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ONE TO GET? Lego experts on Eurobricks, help me decide! Which set is the better deal? The Drawbridge Defense or the Venice Canal Chase? Thank you. P.S. Does anybody know if the prices on both of these sets are reasonable?
-
Everyone, thank you all for helping! But, I have some bad news. My local LEGO Store didn't get their delivery of Echo Base's this week, and won't have any in stock for this Friday, when I'm going up there. But instead, I might get the Castle Drawbridge Defense set or the Indy Venice Chase set. Thanks everyone who helped me with my problem. When I get Echo Base in the future, I will put everything everyone suggested in my head!

Indiana Jones 5 is aiming for a 2011 release!
Imperial Governer replied to Imperial Governer's topic in Culture & Multimedia
This article is pretty recent. http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/07/05/harris...e-date-planned/ I'm sorry I forgot to post it. -
Sorry if anybody already posted this! I just read that Spielberg and Lucas are aiming for the 5th Indiana Jones to starting filming next year, 2010, and be released into theaters by 2011. Rumors if the release dates, including 2010, 2012, and 2013, are to be proven false if this release date of 2011 is actually comfirmed! We just MIGHT get to see "the man in the fedora" in two years!

1- Yes, booger540, I am keeping the already built MOC on display in my living room. When I work on other MOCs, I'll find a place to put the existing MOCs. (I really don't know where, though. ) 2- I don't think I will make a Hitler minifig. I'm trying to match up to what LEGO would probably make my subtheme look like. On the side I may, but I really don't feel right making a Hitler minifig, but I may in the future.

I am planning to buy my FIRST SW set next week, which is Echo Base. I am hoping that it is in stock at my local LEGO store, because I know they are selling like hotcakes! But, there is something I'm hearing about it that I REALLY don't like too much! Would its playability be better with a grey baseplate, or just the set? I don't want to spend the extra $15 for a grey baseplate I don't have! Even when I went over to my friend's house, he had it on a grey baseplate! I just wanna know from the LEGO experts if the set would work better with or without a baseplate! Thank you very much!

SNEAK PREVIEW: I am a history freak, and I always wanted to create sets that combine history with the regular LEGO brick. Everyone KNOWS that it would be a total WHO-RA if LEGO started making WWII sets. Sadly, I think LEGO belives that bringing such a topic as The Second World War II wouldn't be suitable for children under 7. There would have to be guns, tanks, and soldiers. It would also stir controversy with Nazis and German LEGO factories. I have been working for the last month on a subtheme of a "LEGO World War II", based off of Operation Valkyrie, which took effect on July 20, 1944. This was the attempt assassination of the dictactor of Germany, by Col. Calus Von Stauffenberg. I am here to announce that I have 2 LEGO Operation Valkyrie MOCs ready, and a few more on the way. So far, I made a German Rolls Royce, which is portrayed in the scene where Stauffenberg and von Tresckow are reaching the Wolf's Lair, and I also built a Wolf's Lair itself. In these MOCs, there are NOW 5 basic mini-figures: von Stauffenberg, von Tresckow, Chief of Staffs of the Axis Power (made-up), von Stauffenberg's personal chef (made-up), and a regular German guard. More characters should appear by December, when I officialy present my MOCs on the "Other Themes" part of Eurobricks. Tune in December when I show my MOCs in the World War II LEGO MOC series! P.S. I have also built two United State Marine Corps commanders and a base for them. They will priemere also in December with my MOC LEGO Valkyrie line!

As I was observing my newest Imperial Soldiers creation, I wondered about the possibility of a LEGO Pirates television series. LEGO Batman was SUPPOSED to get one, which I think would of worked well, but what about a PIRATES television show? Every episode could be a new battle or a flashback of a battle made by veterans of these battles. Pirates could tell their side of a battle's results, while the soldiers tell theirs, there could be so much to do! But, what potential does it have? Would LEGO fans that don't have ANY interest in the Pirates series or historical LEGOs tune into this show? That's the first question that came to my mind. Would kids think its boring because it has a historical background to it? LEGO would probably make it simple pirates vs. bad guys (which are NOW considered the soldiers). But what about the true hard old fashion Pirate fans watching the show? What would OUR opinions be? I don't know, but I would want to see a LEGO TV show sooner or later! If they made a Pirates TV series, I would jump for joy! But, YOU GOTTA REMEMBER THE CONS! P.S. Imperial Governor is back from his break!

To my dearest pals of Eurobricks, I have decided it is time for me to leave the forum. There are so many things that catch up with me, that doesn't give me enough time to post on Eurobricks. I also am going to take all the suggestions giving on the two months I was on the forum to good use. I am considering this a half leaving/half retiring. The thing is , I may not come back to the forum, which is very likely. I thank Eurobricks and Classic-pirates.com for letting me join this forum, but now, I must go.... Signed, Imperial Governor

I haven't been on Eurobricks in a while, so I decided to save up for a very SPECIAL MOC. My Imperial Village! Due to camera problems , I had to make a video of my newest MOC instead of taking pictures. If you wanna see the video of the village, go to Youtube.com, search for Imperial Village by Imperial Governer, or go on the channel, "Legomeindyjones", and search for the video! Youtube pic of the video on Legomeindyjones' channel: Here is the bio on my MOC! THE IMPERIAL VILLAGE After the 10-month training period, many new Imperial soldiers are stationed at the Imperial Village, the largest and most famous village in the islands. It is famous for being the home for Governor Broadside, the 2nd in command, and the 3rd in command. King Legotuei` sometimes pays a visit to Govenor Broadside II's office to discuss, what Imperials at the village call, "secret pirate stuff." Next to the office is the main battle station, where there are 2 cannons, and usually 2 or 3 soldiers. This is also where the treasure chest is kept, inside a large brick wall. Also, there is a barrel of fish there for snack. Right after the battle station is the resting room and sentry. Below the sentry is the restroom. Part of it is for the soldiers to rest after a long day's work. The other half of the resting room includes a shower, water canteen, and latreen. Next the restingroom/sentry is the cannon area. A tall palm tree, that has been growing since 1708, stands tall between the ocean and the ground. One soldier must be stationed here because this is where the pipe of the restroom is. When a soldier wants a bath, the other soldier must turn the giant wheel which turns on the water. And finally, next to the pipe, is a basket in which unwanted weaponery is put. A blacksmith comes every week to pick up the weapons that need repair. Although it shouldn't be done, but secretly is, soldiers throw their tattered shakos, uniforms, and pantings in the basket. A "secret" duo of a hatmaker and tailor come to pick up the in-bad-shape stuff. The Imperial Village also has a watchout pole. The pole was rescued from a pirate ship during a battle, and was put to good use for the soldiers. The Imperial Village proudly has the Royal Navy flag, flying heavily in the wind. "Oh say, can you see...." Be sure to check out the video of the MOC before reading this!

I WISH they would open a LEGO store in New York City. Its hard for me to get to the Palisades Mall one, but if there was one in NYC, I could just hop the Metro-North and be there in a few seconds! That LEGO section of Toysrus Time Squares really doesn't cut it. Also, they could open a Lego store in White Plains, NY! White Plains has a lot of stores: Walmart, Target, Barns and Noble, Sears! There is also millions of movie theaters and fast food joints there! A LEGO store would really fit in there!

Official Lego Military/War sets?
Imperial Governer replied to Clone Commander's topic in Special LEGO Themes
After doing alot of LEGO research, including the research of the Civil War, I have noticed that the Western series' Calvary mini-figures do have a very large resemblence to real Civil War time Calvary men. Now, since this is a topic for historic themes, I am going to raise this question here: If there are Civil WAR LIKE (remember not whole Civil War, LIKE ) mini-figures, what can't LEGO make a line that includes WWI and/or WWII sets? See, many MOC-ians (funny word, huh ) have created what they would want WWII sets to look like.... Now, it is not impossible to create your OWN WWI/WWII collection from your own pieces at home, as I am going to, as soon as more bricks come avaliable, but what about people that want to have an accurate model in their hands? I believe LEGO should look at these MOCs of Civil War, WWI, WWII, and even American Revolution, and put them on the drawing board for Summer 2010, or January 2011. It would be cool to see them listen to us!
