  1. Hi! Once I've read that western sets sold in USA had non-shooting cannons. Is the same true with 2009 pirates sets?
  2. Thank you! I'll think of alternative variants of making fireplace. As for the stairs, I'm afraid, they would prevent lowering the gun's barrel and pouring the punch to the wooden barrels. Oh, but, perhaps, combining 2x1 bricks with these details: will give the desired effect. I'll change the construction and make some photos tomorrow. Thank you, I'll do my best!
  3. 101b What use can be made of a cannon barrel during peace time? You can boil an excellent punch in it! Updated!
  4. indeed! :) OK, I'll try to locate the boat diagonally This sounds interesting! :) I started thinking over the harnessing and steering mechanisms
  5. Costumed dancing around the Christmas-tree
  6. Thank you! I rotated the musket upside down and put the parrot on it using minifig hand - now it really looks better. Later I'll try to improve the water near the boat board.
  7. Hi! Please, check, will my entry suit Medium size requirements. Its base is 8 studs wide and 24 studs long
  8. Old pictures: front top Side views: left right Let's take a close look at those brae men's faces faces Update (thanks for the suggestions about the parrot): Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Parrot) parrot
  9. To connect vetical plates I used + details on one plate and + on another one. And to connect the verticap plates with the top part of the tower I used 4x
  10. I'd like to see war elephants
  11. Thank you :) As for the colour scheme, recently I’ve learned how to buy details on a Bricklink and now I’m looking for the shop with the cheapest shipping to Ukraine. Ant then I’ll try to build something big and colour-harmonical. But, as it is known from “Sourcery”: “When it comes to glittering objects, wizards have all the taste and self-control of a deranged magpie”, so, the present colour scheme in a certain way describes the tower owner.
  12. "Once, when the level of background magic on the Disc was young and high and found every opportunity to burst on the world, wizards were all as powerful as sourcerers and built their towers on every hilltop" From Terry Pratchett’s “Sourcery” This is one of those towers. It is 35 feet height bottom up and 210 feet top down :) Perhaps the tree next to the tower is the distant ancestor of Sapient pearwood, but I can’t say for sure Wizard is casting a spell: Distant view: Looking at the stars with a Make-Things-Bigger device. Wizards' study in the tower: The basement of the tower was built using SNOT technique, and forms a (seven plus one) sided polyangle. The middle part was constructed with 1x2 bricks and 1x1 round bricks and forms a decagon.
  13. I found this thread and decided to share my not Lego, but papercraft works:
  14. Very nice! Having finished all the buildings of the UU, you'll be able to issue your own bok: "Lego Unseen University: Instructions" :)
  15. Perhaph, just because of this, the paper left unpublished
  16. From the unwritten paper of Leonard da Quirm “On Military Application of Swamp Dragons” Invention of the nutrient mixture, which prevents the explosion of the dragon and provides a long-range flame throwing opens vast field of military application of Draco Vulgaris. Mobile Squad of Men, Who Throw the Flame with Dragons consists of three men, three dragons and two carriages. The first one, equipped with the fire-proof cage, is used for dragons’ transportation. The second carriage transports the mixture components, such as charcoal, seaweed extract and sulfur. Squad in the action: Dealing with swamp dragons you can’t afford such luxuries, as hair, moustache, and even eye-brows. All you have is to smile of the feeling, that you’re still alive. The appearance of this squad on the battlefield will have a devastation effect on the enemy forces, But I am sure the government would put a stop to things before they went too far. More pictures on MocPages
  17. Great work! I saw the building on MocPages when it was uninhabited yet, and now it looks really cool!!! But one question: is it an old or a new Guards building? The things that confuse me are Igor (who appeares quite late in the series), and Carrot (I liked his "krismatic" friendly smile ), who is Private, as in the Guards! Guards!
  18. While surfing the web I found another Discworld and Lego fan. He created such minifigs, as: Dibbler, Twoflower. Silver Horde etc: http://www.flickr.com/photos/captainsmog/s...ith/3511551542/ Just the same did I!
