Sirtank

I was at Toy's R us tonight and nearly bought the Vampire castle, but I ended up getting the Crazy scientist and his monster instead. It's a pretty cool set, but very small for the $60.00 price tag. I may go back in the morning and pick up the castle. So many great sets came out this summer, I'm not sure where I'm going to put them all. I had the original Mad scientist set, but scrapped it for parts long ago. I've felt bad for not having it on the shelf, but this is a great replacement.

I went out this morning to buy the vampire castle at Toys R Us, but came back with the epic dragon battle instead. Like others have said, the dragon is nothing great, I love the minifigures though. THe Great Devourer and prison are pretty cool as well. I built the Samuri X Mech yesterday and was a little disappointed by it. It really could have used some articulation at the elbows and knees. It's still a pretty cool set though. I still have Lasha's bite cycle to build, then I'll have a wait until my Lego shop order arrives middle of next week.

Over all I am very pleased with the first round of sets. I have them all but Helms Deep so far. Weathertop is a big disapointment as it is such a poor value, yet has minifigures that make me want to buy multiples of the set. The Ring wraiths and horses are fantastic, I really would love to get 9 of them, but can't imagine spending that much on buying more weathertops.

I received my Orc Forge from Target's website today, and also got the Gollum poster. The poster was attached to the back of the box with a small amount of rubber cement.

The moria set is all stickers. That and the Orc weapons are the only downsides I felt the set had.

I got a shipping notice this morning from Target.com for the Orc Forge and Uruk-hai army sets I ordered yesterday afternoon. No status change on the Helms deep I ordered a couple of hours later. My Weathertop set from TRU also shipped today. I really wish I had checked out Target's website before I placed the order. I finished building the Mines of Moria last night, and I really dig the set. I think Boromir might be my favorite lego figure ever.

I placed another order from Toys R us for Weathertop and one of the Monster fighter sets this afternoon from work. I didn't see the link for the Target pre-orders until after I got home, but I ordered Helms Deep, Orc Forge, and a second Uruk-Hai Army set from Target. I did get my Toys R us order from earlier this week, I'm just starting to build The Mines of Moria right now.

Four of the sets are in-stock again at Toysrus.com in the US. I went ahead and ordered 1 of each. I am really excited about these sets. Usually I think about setting a side some money for the summer release sets, but never actually do it. I'm glad this time I did, though the money didn't get me as far as I had wanted due to the mark up at Toys R us. I might wait a while on Helms deep, but I'm still jumping on the Weather top set whenever I see it available.

Well I have 3 more paychecks before the June 1st release, If I budget myself well, I should be able to pick up 1 of each set. I Think I will pre-order them from Target's website. I'll save 5% with my Target card and get free shipping. Man, there has really just been too many great Lego sets released this year.

Hasbro used to make their Jedi Luke figures with a grey vest like the new Lego one. It's likely an issue with the original film where it's hard to tell what color it actually should be. I think it is actually a dark grey/brownish color, but appeared black in most scenes in the film.

I guess it paid off for me waiting on some of the new sets, I haven't picked up the Y-wing. X-wing, Tie fighter, or Jedi Interceptor yet. I haven't picked up the Hoth base Naboo fighter,or the new Falcon either. I'm hoping that last summers sets might be on sale. I'm glad I get paid a couple days before the sale, depending on how much overtime I got, I may put in multiple orders and get a second TC-14.

I picked this set up yesterday, I don't like it anywhere near as much as the original Batcave, but it doesn't look too bad sitting next to the old one. I love the new Poison Ivy and Bruce Wayne figures though.

Thanks for the review! I also think I will pick this one up. I was originally going to pass, but I really want those updated Poison Ivy and Bane figures. I'm going to try and incorporate it into the old Batcave. If I time it right, I should be able to get it for about $54.00 at Meijer after employee discount and bonus 15% off credit card day.

Now that Mattel has dropped the ball on Young Justice figures, I'd love to see some Lego versions of the characters. Kid Flash, Aqulad, Red Arrow, Superboy, Ms. Martian,and Artemis.

Thanks for the review! After looking over the pictures, I had to have it. I ended up ordering it from Target.com, with free shipping and $5 off. I really don't like the Black Widow head, but other than that, this set is pure win.

I stopped by my Toys R us this morning and the sets were on a cart in the back with the April 8 stickers on them. When I told the manager that they have been selling for days on their website, and they were listed as available for in store pick up, he let me buy the sets I wanted. I picked up the 3 smallest sets for now, I will save the other 2 sets for the Legoshop Hulk figure promotion.

I picked up the AT-AT for the Shadow ARF trooper. I bought Mace's Starfighter off ebay, and finally picked up the Battle of Naboo.

I hope the new sets show up in the US soon. I finally got tired of waiting for Mace's Starfighter, and bought one off ebay, so I'm all ready for the new wave of sets now.

Thanks for the review! I bought this set from Toys R us' website on an impulse when I was ordering some minimates a couple of days ago. It should arrive tomorrow. I have to say I love this theme, but I'm on the fence about this set. After reading your review, I think I will be happy with my purchase.

Man! thanks for the great review. I had no interest in this theme until I read your review. Too bad my toy budget is shot after picking up the Pirates of the caribbean and new castle sets. I'm going to have to wait a while before I pick this one up.

I was about to order the Imperial Flagship from Legoshop, but when I read this thread I ordered it from Toys R us' website along with the new castle sets. Nabbed free shipping on the deal. Legoshop wanted $15 shipping for the flagship, so I pretty much got the Blacksmith set for free. I wish the Mill had been instock too, but I guess I can wait a little longer.

Thanks for the review! I'm on the fence about this set. It's one of the two POC sets I haven't picked up yet. Due to the great minifigs I think I will have to pick one up next time I get paid.

Here in Michigan, a local chain of stores called Meijer has the Clone and assassin droid packs on sale right now. They had signs up for them in the Christmas section for $9.00. I was tempted to get a few, but when I heard they were actually scanning for $5.00, I had to go looking for some. Most of the stores around me seem to be out of them now, but I did find some yesterday. I bought 5 clone sets, and 2 Assassin droid sets. I had a chance at 6 more clone sets but passed. With me Wife's employee discount, it was $4.50 a set. I've got well over 50 clones now, so I didn't feel the need to grab any more.

My parents ordered me all the basic new sets from Toysrus.com yesterday. I had them get me an extra clone pack as well. I'm glad I was holding out for my Christmas presents, it would have been awhile before I could afford all those sets.

I spotted 2 of these sets today in Michigan at a Toys R us. They had 7306 (9.99 USD), which I bought, and 7326 (49.99 USD), but that will have to wait for payday. The Mummy heads are 2 sided. One side has 2 eyes and the mouth showing, the other has 1 eye peaking through the bandages.
