I liked the new Octan station very much - because it's having a realistic aura which certainly is not the case with the ones from Town Square - specially that pizza shop from outer space. And now I read the gas station is only a design study which will not be released! It's a cruel world!

Rumors and speculation: Haunted House Modular
Ferdik replied to forumreader's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That's because, even if it's a blurry pic, you can see the haunted house got the right proportions and and a architecture style that looks real which is appealing - Town Hall don't. First, Town Hall should have been stand alone, but if not it should at least look like a real house! Since the first pics I try to like it, but I can't. The haunted is on the other hand an instant buy. Could we agree it doesn't matter which genre it will be released in! It's not like cheating on your wife if you buy something from a theme you weren't planing to. Who cares! It's Lego, that's good enough for me. -
Rumors and speculation: Haunted House Modular

Just because it's not connectable doesn't mean it can't be an modular. Think outside the box! Not every house in a town is build together. And I think the Town Hall shouldn't have been designed like that since almost every Town Halls is stand alone, but I guess it's to late for that now. To detailed for regular Creator, perhaps it's not any genre at all - just a big hounted house. Anyhow, I like the architecture of this house and will probably by it. -
Nice layout with good details such as trees and flowers. The CC and Pet Shop buildings look stunning together. But what on earth will you do when de City Hall is released? In fact I like your mod of Town plan better since it looks more like a City Hall. The new one just look like an office building.

Have you noticed there is a new horse mold! Looks more like the other new animals when seen the last years.

The design is close to modern garbage trucks like this one: http://www.trailer.se/bildarkiv/46/49db656c1df12.jpg Or this: It's a low chassi because driver and crew constant jump in and out.

Oh no! The 7896 train track set seem to be replaced by this: http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=7499&cn=87&d=328 You are now not able to buy ordniary curves! Catastrofy! Flexible tracks is cool for certain things but it should not replace the curve track!

Hey! Nice! You got to love the city landscape in every of those commercials!

Cool new sets! I like Lego being more truly to reality like. The Bank look like something Brittish from the 80s, hm, atleast better then the previuos!

About the next big set in Winter Village. First I was thinking church, but came to the conclusion Lego don't wanna get involved in religion, wich is good, because all religions, exept the lego religion we are apart of, sucks big time. How about an ski lift or cabin lift? (or whatever it's called) It would be awesome an it is more winter than anything!

I like farm and hope it continues!

Space sets looks better "IRL" then on the first pics. Me like! But on the other hand Ive learn everything does. I guess it's in human nature to first be suspicious to something new.

Don't remember, just a quick look, the boat had green hull and is smaller then the previous.
-
Could be Creator, just had a quick look, and the minifigs get you confused theese days.

Very small pics, not high resolution. ;) I don't know.

Alright! Yesterday at a Brickevent I was lucky to get preview of junorized pics of some new city sets. Harbour * Lighthouse - with some water and a minifig. Quite small and look marvelous! *City Harbor - Like the old one but smaller, the freight ship got shorter hull. Looking good. *Marina - a litte shop, a surfbaord and and one or two small civilan boats. Not many parts, shop look more like a backdrop. * Boat transport - Great looking truck with "new" bus front window. A yacht on the trailer. Great! Not City but could appeal to city fans. * Creator House. New white house, red roof. Quite boring architecture. The garden got a little slope (brickbuilt) and the house got stairs to the front door. Also including a small garage with a car. Minifig included. Kingdom. A medieval windmill! New paint on animals. Dots on grey horse and on white pigs. Great Looking!

Word! Get used to a new police sets like every 3rd year. To an untrained eye they might look the same but I think 2011 police sets is step forward, with civilans, good looking police vehicles and a station looks like a real building means it will fit in a town setup better. I said it before - Lego keeps getting better!

It looks great! Nice Mocs and a good "vibe" in the town. The signs on the buildings are sleek. Keep on..you know what! ;)

New Lego Exclusive 10217 Harry Potter Diagon Alley
Ferdik replied to GRogall's topic in LEGO Licensed
I was watching the video on S&H. Cuz I wanted to know who designed this beautiful set. Nicolas Groose (or how he spells it) is now my favorite desigener. There is something special about his sets, an instant recognition, a special wow-factor. And he is doing it with such a few pieces! Less is more when comes to design and it shows you don't need to stick to the CC-style to build beautiful buildings.
