  1. Actually if you were to buy this from Shop at Home it would be $249.99 plus $40 for shipping, so that would be a total cost of $289.99.
  2. Actually I can remember Myer having a 50% off sale around 2003 , I was lucky enough to pick up a Republic Gunship and a Hogwarts Castle so it does happen. Back then online forums weren't as popular and Lego was not in as much demand, so the only way to find out was to be lucky enough to walk in and find them on sale. Target use to have some great clearances as well, Jango Fett's slave 1 for $38.( RRP $99.95 On clearance at 50%off, then 20% sale and then 5% staff discount) I notice no one has mentioned the additional 10%off for Myerone members from the weekend just gone, my wife went into Perth city on Sunday and picked up a few sets and they gave her the 20% off then 10%off(Myerone discount) and then got the 3rd one free. It was around $126 for 2 Apple Tree Houses and a City Corner
  3. The prices continue to fall at Kmart, my wife picked up the Indiana Jones "Temple of Doom" #7199 today for $50 The set wasn't on the shelf yesterday so It might have been from a cancelled lay-by or it hadn't been put out on the shelf yet, either way I'm not complaining.
  4. So you'd be aware of the BigW "Lego Week" sale starting next week then
  5. Nope no Mistake on the Battle of Endor, The price Tag definately says $249.99 ( Guess it'll be the shelf warmer in the store) Went to Target and they had a lot more Lego in pretty much the same as toyworld except they had 8039 Venator Class Republic Attack Cruiser and the Creator Family Home 6754. These were the other sets Target had 7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid, 7749 Echo Base, 7778 Millenium Falcon, 8036 Separatists Shuttle, 8037 Y Wing and the 2 newer Power Miner sets, 8962 Crystal King, 8964 Titanium Command Rig. So target is the place to be with 20%off running for another week
  6. My local Toyworld now has the following sets: 7748 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid 7749 Echo Base 7778 Millenium Falcon 8036 Separatists Shuttle 8037 Y Wing Also had the new Power Miners 8962 Crystal King (Also at toys R Us Morley) 8964 Titanium Command Rig and the price on the Battle of Endor is now $249.99 R.R.P at this Toyworld
  7. So here's what your saying, Bigw had cues for hours and that means they had customers wanting items. Kmart had a system where you could order your item directly from the counter for xmas, 2 Lego items would you be so supportive of Kmart if they did not offer this like every other year on the Exclusive sets to them. BigW also offered this on some of there larger items and to be picky you were able to order selected Lego items, you didnt have to be first in this is not the case (the ones that can be ordered in, did anyone ask to order Lego in? BigW had a information desk where you were able to do this.) BigW will be requiring a fortnightly repayment or the item will be returned to the floor, in the case of the larger items they just wont be ordered in for xmas, they don't sit in the shop or out back (no fee for storage if its not ordered in). Not only were the cues at BigW layby long, but the checkouts were full as well Like you said a few pages back why go to Kmart unless you want an exclusive, Obviously a LOT of people agreed with you and took there business to BigW Not true, once there at the store that's where they stay, the larger items that you are able to order also had to have a Deposit, so the chance of these items being cancelled is reduced. These items are not ordered in until later in the year.
  8. The wind Turbine #7747 was up on shop at home for $79.99, so BigW certainly gave a good discount on this set. Would $10million make such a big difference in the overall scheme of things?, How many Kmarts are Australia wide 200ish? That would only be a loss of around 50K per store, that would be nothing compared to the sales they have lost. How much in sales they lost to BigW is the bigger question there was no comparison between the 2, BigW had customers all day long and Kmart had empty checkouts.
  9. I think you have this the wrong way around, Kmart will be heading over to BigW to see just how much they lost in sales yesterday The only thing Kmart had yesterday was more staff than customers I'm sure Kmart will bring back there No-Deposit Layby next year. You wouldn't have been able to Layby your Sep Shuttle with your AT-OT as it is a Xmas layby and they are ordering the stock for these after they know how many they have sold to layby.
  10. There is a Reason the Death Star is not left on the shop floor the size of the item and the price tag, I for one would hate to see a Toys R Us approach move onto other retailers, where the Lego sets have to be strapped up to stop the boxes being opened. Anyway My Kmart was basically empty, the crowds from previous years definately were not there. The no deposit LayBy being offered by BigW certainly drew the customers and the Layby line was just crazy. Don't think Kmart sold as much Lego as they were expecting. So all I grabbed from Kmart was 2 of the 1600 piece boxes and my daughter got the new power miner set #8963. And of course I got the Wind turbine from BigW. Anyone else notice if there BigW sold out of this set
  11. Target "sneak peek" catalogue now online Page 45 Target Sneak Peek Looking through the pages and noticing the red circle it would appear that The Star Wars Magna Droid Fighter will be the half price item this year.
  12. Medieval Market Village is at Target, my local store has had there's out for about a week now $149.99. And hopefully it will be cheaper at there Toy Sale next month. Edit: At Target's price of $149.99 you will save $30 buying from Target rather than ebay (ebay price around $180) and No postage cost either
  13. Also noticed in the Kmart catalogue on Page 43 They are selling a Lego play table "Exclusive" to Kmart. BigW also has the New playmats for $6.84. Both should be good for keeping the kids amused.
  14. Here's what they had 6239 $9.99 (Cannon Battle) 6240 $14.99 (Kraken Attackin) 6241 $29.99 (Loot Island) 6242 $79.99 (Soldiers Fort) 6243 $139.99 (Brickbeards Bounty) Also The Medieval Market Village was $149.99 So Finally some good sets in a Store where we can get them at a discount.
  15. Why wonder? The answer is YES Also my local Target filled up on Spongebob, Medieval Market Village and the Pirate range
  16. Wow you paid that much My local Toyworld is now claiming the R.R.P on the Endor exclusive is $250, but they will be selling it for $199 during there sale
  17. Got Toyworld's Christmas Toy Sale catalogue today and was surprised to see that the 3 New Castle sets 7097 Troll Mountain Fortress ($149) 7079 Drawbridge Defense ($69.99) 7078 king's Battle Chariot ($29.99) are all TOYWORLD Exclusive's There goes any chance of a discount on these set's. Sale start's 25th June until the 4th of July.
  18. Yep that's them And I wouldn't say the prices will be insane, but it is Big W, lower prices everyday
  19. If I was to have a guess I would say sooner than most are expecting I think you are at least 33% right, possibly more
  20. It was my birthday present from the Kids I won't say what I think of my local Toyworld, but it sucks when you have to drive 40 minutes to another one when there's one 5 minutes away
  21. Picked up my Endor Bunker today So keep your eyes open, there here
  22. It's only 2 weeks until some of the sales here start so why not wait and see what appears on our shelves, you might be surprised and save yourself the stress of ordering a set from overseas that may or may not arrive before they hit our shelves
  23. Apparently they do... Any one notice of all the new sets being made available as exclusives to retailers that one is missing ?
  24. Yes it looks like a good offering this year . I'm sure there will be some new sets available for the toy sales Heard that Toyworld may have the Endor Bunker in the next few weeks (Supposedly in there Toy Sale catalogue at the end of the month?) May I ask which Toyworld you saw the Castle Drawbridge at for $60? Mine's still waiting on there's to arrive. White Pages is your friend for contact details Toyworld is very tight lipped when releasing information, Or most the time the staff don't do the orders and its the manager who knows but won't pass it on to the staff. But give it a few weeks and well see what's in there new catalogue.
