  1. Are you saying Target is charging $4 for the minifigs? I was told the R.R.P would be $3.75?
  2. I believe your right about the stock with Toyworld, but since the catalogue is some time away they can re order before then and receive stock for the catalogue. As for Target, they say stock arrived at the DC on Monday just gone, no one could expect all Target stores to have these stocked instantly. Up to 2 weeks is what they are saying for stock to reach all stores. I was surprised to read that stock was found on the Tuesday. I would have a guess and say the stocktake rumour would have just been bad luck for the person visiting that store, I would assume that Target stores don't actually do stocktake simultaneously but on a rotation basis, one store one week and another the next similar to other large retailers. I was lucky enough to have the kids out with me and they got me 2 for my upcoming B'day, which will add to the one they bought for last years. Not a bad store that one at Garden City and it is normally the first store I call when I hear of new stock arriving at Myer.
  3. No official date but it is possible they may be for a catalogue and stock could be held back for it.. Or they were bought at that price to resell.
  4. And how much easier is it when the hard work is done for you You don't have to stand there and look at the barcodes or feel the pack. And no doubles of the one's you don't want.
  5. Thats good news, Target has said it may take up to 2 weeks to arrive instore depending on location. Midland had some yesterday.
  6. That looks like a Holden HSV GTO coupe Yeah the blue and white one has nice colours to it.
  7. I would include where your getting your info from if reposting information from Lego forums and discussion boards onto your blog.
  8. Cannnington TRU had them, that's where I got mine. Not sure if they have any left though. If they have none ask them to call Morley and Joondalup for you. Target Australia has CONFIRMED they will be stocking the Lego Minifig's 8683 in the next few weeks Stock should arrive at Target DC on the 17/5 and then be distributed to stores, and a little cheaper at $3.75 but if they have a sale they might be cheaper.
  9. Wow I cant believe you think this is a handy trick, from your post it appears as though the Lego you took back to Target for exchange wasn't even purchased at Target. I would advise that unless the Lego was purchased at Target, that you don't return it to Target as this would be fraud! Obviously this would be the same for all retailers. There is a reason why they record your personal details when you refund without a receipt and don't think it goes in the bin.
  10. Midland Kmart and Target have PoP, neither had 7570.
  11. A snippet from the email says "Stock will arrive week commencing 24th May I am told by my suppliers" but according to Lego Australia they are at retail already but I haven't seen them yet, and neither has anyone here.
  12. Well I received 2 emails today, one from Fremantle Toyworld with a date, so your obviously not speaking to the right person. I received an email today from Lego Australia and it does not say they are Toyworld exclusives at all. And if they were would independent stores be able to stock them? Apparently they are at retail, but I cant confirm this as I haven't seen any. (Lego has a customer service number in Australia for anyone wanting to call and ask themselves) Mid year toysales also kickoff 1st of July.
  13. I wouldn't be having a guilt factor at all, after seeing your post I found 1 Kmart that "had" the item on clearance here in W.A. the clearance tickets were still on the shelf. All "clearance" items are done from head office unless the items are damaged or one off's. This isn't the case here though, not sure why the Price on the ones lightningtiger found were still at the higher price, perhaps the Toy manager has to action the price change. As long as though they are still in the system and on clearance the price should go down until they are all gone. Here's a tip for everyone, Kmart has a customer service number, just give them the set number and they should be able to help.
  14. Sorry guys but shops are still open over here in the west I was hoping that the minifigs were going to show up today, so I was a little disappointed to see the Prince of Persia sets.
  15. My local Toyworld (Midland W.A) has the Prince of Persia sets on the shelf, arrived today.
  16. It is confirmed Toyworld is getting them this month if they have ordered them(Midland and Fremantle have orders in) The other retailers are where the confusion is but this should clear up once they hit the shelves. $3.99 at Toyworld.
  17. Hey lightningtiger/everyone, I have only enquired about #8683 (series 1) #8684 is series 2, the thought had never crossed my mind to check on series 2. This might be where the confusion is coming from. At least we know series 2 is coming down under No problems, I suppose I should get myself one while it's on sale. No Worries, Ill go get myself one now.
  18. Seriously how can they justify a price hike like that, I know it is the R.R.P but to increase it after having them at $250 is just plain greedy (Thankfully I got mine for $200), thats just as bad as selected Toyworld's selling the Battle of Endor #8038 for $250. On a brighter note Toyworld in Fremantle WA has confirmed they have the upcoming Minifigs 8683 on order and are due to arrive next month.
  19. Ok I spoke with Toyworld this morning and yes they do have a central warehouse and when they have a catalogue or offer to buy in bulk they do this as a group and the stock is sent to the Toyworld warehouse to be distributed. But they are still able to buy directly from Lego as independents and at my store it will arrive in a small yellow truck. My Lego used to arrive on a thursday afternoon Not all retailers have State warehousing so a lot of stock is sent from a national warehouse direct to the store, this avoids double handling, stores are able to have offsite storage for large bulky items. TRU stock arrives in WA in containers from the east, so when the Fire Brigade started appearing in the east we just waited for the next truck to come in and they were on it. And onto the sports car #8402 for $10 thats not on special until they beat Coles price of $2.50 earlier this year Oh and Toyworld believes they have the Minifigs as an exclusive for release in June
  20. I spoke to Lego just last week and like I said we are getting different stories, it's not unusual when speaking with different people at Lego Australia after all didn't they say that 10197 was a David Jones exclusive for later in the year? but they are on the shelf at TRU. I still believe Kmart will get these and it has always been a May release date in Australia. I don't think Toyworld has a warehouse so it is sent straight to the store from Lego and we would have seen it by now if stores received it in March. Like I said they'll be here soon enough. Trade thread is a great idea, myself and a few others in Perth have already agreed on one of us buying several boxes so we can get complete sets.
  21. sorry lightningtiger I am going to disagree with you on this one, I also called Lego Australia and again they said Kmart and Target were the stores. We have 2 people calling them and getting different answers, however an order for 2 retailers was done before Christmas and at that time it was Kmart and Target and nothing has changed according to Lego Australia. I'll have someone track down the state Lego rep tomorrow and see what is going on. If Toyworld had them in stock we would have seen them by now, I believe they are shipped from Lego to the store so no warehouses in between. Anyway time will tell and they'll be out soon.
  22. Kmart and Target are supposedly stocking these from next month. ( From Lego Australia and the info hasn't changed since last year)
  23. BigW sale starts Thursday 15th April and ends Wednesday 21st April *Link*
  24. Tomorrow would be a good day for another look if you wanted one Myer was actually one of the better stores to get the Lego Trains from as they actually have %off sales unlike Toyworld. So here's hoping Myer gets them again.
  25. I haven't heard anything about Myer and Toyworld getting these. I've been told they will be available at Kmart and Target, I'm confident Lego Australia will confirm this when you call
