Like it says in the topic description. You cant change the laws of physics! This leads me to believe we have a very strong pirate. I mean think about it, how could 1 man row hard enough to keep the small craft going fast enough to keep the troll on the waters surface?!??! I mean, look at its size! ... That, and yellow is SOOOO not his color. Should stay with green surfboards. It brings out the color of his eyes better... (Im NOT kidding, green goes with trolls, yellow is for skeletons or dwarfs! sheesh!) -
So, I didnt actually buy this, but a few days ago, a neighbor of mine actually walked up to me, handed me a Lego set, and walked off. (we used to hang out alot, and he knew how obsessive I was with legos) It was the tie advanced. (which happens to be one of my faves) It was only missing 1 or 2 minor parts, which i found some extras of. :) riiiiight. so 7 fighters seems odd, but no problem with 3(at least) bunkers????? ...Pssst!!! Kim, If you need to off-load one of those, I could give one a nice home, and a quiet place to meditate on the force!

You boys moderate these forums too much...
Dan the Brickman replied to Follows Closely's topic in Forum Information and Help
I tend to agree with the mods in this. (I actually do, not just say'n it). Its their job to keep this thing organized, and enforce the rules. I have been a lurker here for several years, and an active member for bout a year now. I have had concerns or issues before, but I just went straight to one of them, made a request, and got a reasonable compromise. from my experience here, Most of them seem to be pretty good sports. and yes, I have had threads locked myself*. big deal, just go make a new one about something else, or post on an existing one. *(After it happened, I quickly realised what a stupid mistake I had made, and hoped they would delete it. I really stuck my foot in my mouth there....) ...like you said, lighten up. -
Im not really a HP fan (havent read any of the books/ or seen the movies) ...and Im not a girl, lol. However, I was not able to get any of the original series, and I think the HP sets had alot of neat little pieces I like to put into my castles. You will notice, If you compare the "regular" castles next to the HP line, the HP series had alot of interior accesories. I liked that. oh, and the books. gotta have more books!

The feature I found interesting was the jedi statue made from haggrid. (I dont recall how his name is spelled, but you get the idea) I also liked how you used the skate ramps for the roof. I dont think I have seen that before... I've seen ship hulls used similarly.

hmmm... the way I understand it, some brilliant pirate left the sea for 20 years, joined a ninja clan, and learned ninjitsu. Then, using a custom built ship, he went back out to sea as a lone ninja/pirate. He was the worlds greatest ninja-pirate, but few know of him, because he made sure that A: He wasnt seen, and B: if he was, he made sure he was the last thing you saw. Then he retired, wrote a book, and ate doughnuts. Thus ending the carrier of the greatest ninja-pirate.

I would not want to live in anything YOU build... ...lol, just kidding. I love all the robinhood related stuff.

Im gonna buy 10! Mwahahahahaha! Then I'll be 10x more powerful then you all! ...oh, and I'd also like to comment... Ho-ray for no "useless" pieces. I mean, they are all practical staples of building, but not too many to waist up your money either. This set is just right.

I usually dont put much into train stuff with my legos, and am not so much of a train enthusiast myself. HOWEVER- I MUST compliment you on your wide variety of creative details here. 1-everyone noticed the "smoke"/baseplate of course. 2- the next detail I noticed, the crossbow in the wheel system. 3- the cauldrons for smokestacks- took me a few to notice at first, but brilliant. You have used alot of pieces in ways I never thought of. for this, i give you the thumbsup!'

This is truly one of the most epic sets out there. I would love to own it someday!

Like everyone else said, go ebey/bricklink, and buy the current sets while you can. Lego will continue to have pirates here and there, such as special minifigs in collections, and many sets from castle and starwars sets have parts/figs that can be converted to pirate. Just be creative. above all, GO PIRATE! OR GO HOME! ah, just have fun with lego, thats what matters!

I'm an American Privateer/explorer/gentlemanly pirate. And, since my girlfriend is a mermaid, no spears ever touch my hull! My only enemy is one who is cruel and hartless to others. (or those who fire cannons at me) Im not at war with anyone, but will gladly join any Noble cause, and, if there's none that are such, I'll take the highest bidder. personally, Im not so much after gold, but lost wisdom is my treasure.

If its a digital camera, even if its for video, you can still take "stills" with it, or, if you can connect it to the computer, then open up my computer and see if the camera's listed there... then if its hoocked up right, and it gives video feed back to the computer, you could try to take a screenshot (the key that says PRNTSCRN). then, after you hit prnt-scrn, open Paint, and hit ctr-v (shortcut for paste) and voila, pictue saved. ...or, if you have access to a digital video camera, you should check out some special stopmotion animation softwear, (which capture screenshots btw) and make some lego videos! ...maybe this will help on the technical end, or give you some ideas...

Magic in Lego Kingdoms; what role does it play?
Dan the Brickman replied to Sirens-of-Titan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I have always pondered how lego would do elves if they ever decided to. mayhaps the best method would be for a special hairpiece, with the pointed ears 'cut-out' like on some of the regular hair. Only it would be pointier.... yes, more woodland creatures would be good though. -
Ok, Here is my Entry: (Clown figure entered) EDIT- My brickshelf isnt going public yet, and I cant figure out why!!! anyways, Ill get my pics uploaded somewhere else soon, and post linky asap!!! (I'll let you know as soon as they are up!) Steve the Evil Clown - The Jokers little brother... or Robin's Peril In a secret abandoned warehouse, (conveniently located in Lego Town) Robin Finds himself "hanging out" with Steve. Steve is the Jokers little known, little brother...and... He is out for revenge! Standing on his control platform, above the incinerator, he first prepares to use his many evil torture devices on the boy wonder. Will Batman make it in time to save Robin? Will the maniacal clown have his revenge?! Will I get my fruitloops for breakfast tomorrow???? stay tuned to your bat-TVs! Same Bat-Time! Same Bat Channel! Note from Evil Clown: "...If you want to get the Boy Blunder back in one piece, you had better vote for this vig!" -Steve, the Evil Clown ---------------------------- Okay (not ok-ey), well, a few notes here: 1-I chose this pic as it was a best close up of the details, see my brickshelf or MyMocPages for more views. (this vig fits all the rules) 2-Under the base, you will note it looks kinda weird, thats the special prop I built with the magnet parts from the different magnet figure sets I have. I tried (unsuccessfully) to make this vig stick to my refrigerator. (You gotta give me points for that, I mean come on, a vig on a fridge! thats catchy!) 2b-hmmmm.... I wonder if I might get a little title... "...a vig on a fridge!"... (hint, hint admins?) 3-I cant remember what #3 was... 4-....oh yeah, I had to rush this one since I havent been on the forums for a bit, and almost missed the contest. This was done in about an hour earlier today! I am Dan the Brickman, and I approve this post!

I also liked the makeshift tent, and just noticed the oars used to hold it up. neat. also, I got some great ideas for my own ship from that small broken section you put there. arrrg! me likes!

I want the farm set, and the limo.... hmmm, thats an odd combo, lol. really though, new animals in that farm set, and then I could have my own private plane/limo with the other set.

The Best Spaceship Released By LEGO
Dan the Brickman replied to legitimatealex's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
ahhhhh! I remember those! my first set was one of the space police ships. it was the one with the "commander" in his small 1 man ship, little bigger then this one. (brings back fond childhood memories) -
