  1. And now.. for those awaiting news on a new hero.. I BRING YOU BATGIRL! =D REAL NAME: Barbara Gordon OCCUPATION: Librarian BASE OF OPERATIONS: Gotham City EYES: Blue HAIR: Red As the adopted daughter of Gotham City’s Police Commissioner James W. Gordon, Barbara Gordon was raised in a household filled with cops and their stories. Barbara wanted nothing more than to follow in her father’s heroic footsteps, but the elder Gordon, knowing how dangerous the streets of his crime-ridden city could be, refused to allow it. Bothered by her father’s refusal to allow her to serve on the G.C.P.D., Barbara wore a homemade “Batgirl” costume to a masquerade ball as a jibe against her father but instead wound up saving billionaire Bruce Wayne from a kidnapping attempt by Killer Moth. Deciding that this was how she could serve the cause of justice, Barbara Gordon elected to keep her new costumed identity. Her source of inspiration, Batman, was as much against her decision as her father would have been had he known who she was behind the mask, but the Dark Knight eventually came to accept Barbara as Batgirl and as part of his inner circle of crimefighters protecting Gotham City. Powers and Abilities: In LEGO Batman: The Videogame, Batgirl has the ability to utilize Batman’s technology suits including the Glide suit, Heat Protection Suit, Sonic Suit and Demolition suit in her efforts to fight crime alongside the Dynamic Duo. I'm not the Batman expert here though so.. anybody? Why's she running from the police? D: -- Andrex
  2. I saw Wall-E! What a fantastic film =D. Being the Disney nut that I am, I had to go and see the next true Pixar film =P. It was definitely worth it. With very little speech, it excelled in artistic effect, and there was so much charm and uniquity, it was immensely enjoyable. Highly recomended from moi haha. -- Andrex
  3. I just want to run around a giant free-roaming Lego Hogwarts zapping stuff. Assigning spells would be excellent. I'm sure there could be an easy way to alternate them anyway :D. The only downside would be that there aren't many enemies as such that could be used, and classes would probably be minigame based. I don't really know how gameplay would work. You have the characters and the locales, but how would people want it to play out? -- Andrex
  4. Ah! I finally preordered my copy ^^. For PSP, as I mentioned earlier =D. Probably best I did that so I don't change my mind later =P. I look forward to this title greatly! I also managed to find all those Man Bat screens x_x I guess those were released whilst I was away for a month. -- Andrex
  5. Haha exactly, that's what I was thinking about a second Lego Batman game. I'm all for Harry Potter. I must play as Snape O_O. DUMBLEDORE! Ah so many. What I'd be unsure about though would be.. seven books/films. Would they need to release two separate titles to compensate, or would it just have to be a very long game? D= -- Andrex
  6. I don't get why people keep saying Lego Batman 2, when the first one isn't even out yet o_o. I'm not big on Batman though, so I guess it's because they have limited villains to work with or something? -- Andrex
  7. I've seen some videos of the last two Lego games for the PSP, and they looked practically identical to the console counterparts =D. About multiplayer.. that was what I loved most about LSW.. not so much with Lego Indy. I think my friends are getting fed up with me and my Lego games now =P. I'll see how it is. It's either PSP or Wii - reviews probably would be a good idea. Awesome new vids by the way! -- Andrex
  8. Hmm I've bought the last few games for PS2 and Wii, but I'm considering a change for this. Does anybody own Lego Star Wars / Indiana Jones for the PSP? If so, is there actually any content missing, or is it literally the whole game handheld? If it is, I might grab this for the Portable, I need a good game to play on the go ^^. -- Andrex
  9. Hmm this is interesting news indeed! I'm hoping they begin to take new routes with the Lego games. I was a massive fan of the Lego Star Wars titles, and Lego Indiana Jones was excellent, but things do seem to be getting.. repetitive. Lego Batman has several new ideas, but I'd like to see some original concepts now! Nonetheless, I admit that the one franchise I'd still like doing is Harry Potter. All seven books/films could make for a long and worthwhile compendium. Think of all the minifigures! The gameplay could work very differently, and it would likely be a huge success. Anyway, good to be back. I spent the last month in Africa away from all gaming news! I shall resume my role ASAP and pass on any information I happen to find! -- Andrex
  10. According to the FAQ section, there may well be a subscription cost.. A shame since that's an immediate turn off for me =(. Still, this does look fun. I may pick it up if it's not too expensive, especially since this sounds like a great little title to play around with. -- Andrex
  11. Well this is good news! The Death Star set in the United Kingdom is £199.99! A much better price over the anticipated one. -- Andrex
  12. American box art.. oh dear. I personally don't like this at all o_o. Out of all the awesome designs they could have used.. It's simple yes, but it just looks so tacky and thrown together. Ah well haha. Perhaps I'll like the PAL case more?! -- Andrex
  13. Ah, I managed to find this, which seems pretty complete! Star Wars Complete Locations Also, I found out that the Sarlacc cross section is in fact in the Complete Visual Dictionary. Thanks for the info! -- Andrex
  14. Ah brilliant! Does this one have the Sarlacc? I've seen one which has a beautiful cross section online! Many thanks. -- Andrex
  15. Haha yes, I've seen these! They're brilliant. I loved the finale for the fourth series, and the animation and character designs are pretty accurate =P. -- Andrex
  16. I loved that episode so much! And yes, the beetle was tacky and plastic, but I liked it that way. Back to the good old times of artificial giant bugs and paper maché aliens! -- Andrex
  17. You've made a very good point there - the Clone Wars aren't exactly famous for their lightsaber duels. All those battle droids, republic gunships, and wars raging on in the background. Obi Wan's confrontation with Durge, Mace Windu's fight against an entire army, Anakin's ritualistic path with the [sp] Nelvaan. So many adventures that could work. We'll have to see. -- Andrex
  18. Ah yes, the humour seems to be a key element for the Clone Wars . I'm loving the fact that it is indeed a Wii exclusive, and not just a port. That way the controls can be definitive, and the game can be moulded around the console without problem. Also, the environments! Is that a rancor I saw? And the krayt dragon skeleton on Tatooine with Dooku? Awesome stuff =D. That means for me it'll be Clone Wars for Wii, Force Unleashed for PS3. You have the saber controls with the Wii remote, and the Force physics with the hi-def PS3 ^^. It's going to be an expensive Star Wars Summer with the Death Star play set on top of those, but I think I've decided now that this title is a must-buy! -- Andrex
  19. WARNING! NEWS EXPLOSION BELOW! We have the first trailer! Find it here . Also another screenshot: Here are the official summaries: And here's a promising interview from IGN: And for the DS version: And two DS screens for you: You know, I'm actually kinda liking this! Probably for the wrong reasons, but the cartoony graphics, the humour and the overall style reminds me of the Lego Star Wars games. Whenever I saw a trailer for the new Clone Wars film, I couldn't help but think "this looks nothing like a Star Wars film, more like a video game cutscene". The gameplay looks great fun, and with multiplayer I'm highly considering buying it. Not to mention a fantastic gameplay system for the Wii, and a lot of potential. I'm wondering how long the Wii version will play out, since it's based upon lightsaber combat, but hey: it looks promising! As does the DS version, which may seem rather uncanon, but also very much like the Lego Star Wars games. If pulled off correctly, that can't be a bad thing, especially with the layout of the game. So enjoy these tidbits for now! And I hope you've learnt something here . -- Andrex PS: I seem to have edited this post so many times, I have punctuation spewing forth from various crevices. I apologise if parts do not make sense o.O
  20. Wowwww O_O. Looks a bit bare without the figs, but with them in it's fantastic! I'm loving all the features. Thanks for the vid . -- Andrex
  21. I do indeed think this might be a Wii exclusive, but nonetheless.. here's a screenshot for you! I didn't really care for this game.. suddenly I do . I just hope it's a good game, and not just a cheap cash in. -- Andrex
  22. I'm happy with the additional minifigs, being such a big fan of the OT. I missed out on most new sets containing the main character minifigs, so this is an ideal opportunity for me to get them all in one go. They fit, and all the scenes make it a complete and interesting set. Yes it's expensive, but I.. just love all the content! -- Andrex
  23. Haha you made a fantastic point there! It's like when we get a set title, and we go mad listing possible minifig rosters, only to be left disappointed. Here they went insane, and covered all possible aspects! Also, nothing wrong with a little interactivity! Now then.. money! I'm doomed in this department, being a British Student. Especially since I just blew all my money on a Crisis Core PSP after paying for my World Challenge trip.. but I shall persevere! I'll doubt this'll be sold out any time soon, considering the price range . -- Andrex
  24. Haha I have no idea in all honesty. Taking a proper look at the Probe Droid, you are correct, it.. only closely resembles the true design. I am however quite happy with the Torture Droid. -- Andrex
  25. I don't mind the Torture Droid, considering it's pretty much to scale. I admit, the Probe Droid was brilliant, but I think this does the trick nicely. The Mouse Droid is quite large too, but overall I think the minifigs are well interpreted . -- Andrex
