    Going against popular opinion but first impressions it does not stand out to me, and actually like a modification of the petshop modular from 8 years ago. Sure the colours are different but nothing really stands out. I think it looks like Lego went on a safe route and went back to tried and tested stuff. Yes I think corner garage was an interesting idea to the modular line but seemed like the final outcome wasn't really well received. We can't make everyone happy.

    the lego announcement i look forward to yearly, but like the downtown diner released this year (which i have bought but yet to build), it doesn't wow me. props to the team for coming out with a gas station in a modular, and first impressions it has flashbacks of cafe corner and townhall (that orangey-brown facade). will still buy it in any case.

    the announcement i look forward to yearly, but alas it's somehow not as exciting as yester years. perhaps it's the lack of familiar smiley faces, or the smooth curves which i feel are out of place when next to the first 12 modulars. then again, perhaps it's also a good time to start on a new page with this series now in it's eleventh year. I hope to be proved wrong when I start building the set come January.

    Hate to say this but too many repeats of garmadon and Lloyd. The shark figures are amazing and I will probably get a few more of those to add to my army of ninjago villians

    10251 Brick Bank

    Really enjoying looking at the modifications done to the Brick Bank. I built mine last weekend and like many I also found the BB to be quite short. Think it is the general trend that modular buildings have become more elaborate on the interior, at the expense of exterior details. Having said that, the whole process of building BB was still very enjoyable. The modular series remains my main Lego passion, a tradition I look forward to every year. Like to share some pictures I took of the modulars too. :)

    Well Lego did release the Town Hall despite the fact that there was a town hall in the Town Plan already. I would like to see a movie threatre too, though I'll prefer to see a police station too which would complement the fire brigade.
