Awesome ships, but I don't really get a TIE feeling from them. But besides that I really like it.

Yeah, I guess a bumpmap could work, but sometimes it looks better when it's actually modeled.
-
It's extruded text. It doesn't completely match the actual studs, but still. And you got a point about keeping the polys down though, some of the bigger models I made, like the Egyptian temple really made my computer complain.

@TerranCmdr: glad to see another 3dsMax user. It's also funny we both use the same measurements for the bricks. Two things though. First, I always chamfer the top edges of my bricks with an amount of 0.1, so they look better when stacked. Second, I prefer to use "attach" instead of the boolean way, because personally, I try to avoid using anything that has to do with booleans. It also immediately attaches the meshes together and doesn't muck up the edgeflow. Here's a little render to show the difference between chamfered (left) and not chamfered (right):

Made a Mini TIE Fighter: Now I'm gonna model the 30051 Mini X-Wing. Edit: done.

Those look seriously awesome. How long did it take to model them?

Those are seriously awesome. I love modelling Lego as well. I have a few Star Wars models, so I guess I'll post them here as well. Here are some more when it's public.

Good is just a word. The reality... is much more awesome. Sorry, couldn't resist. I love this movie, in a creepy sort of way, since every them I watch it alone, I totally freak myself out. But anyway, I really love the model.

Man, that is awesome. I really like the uhm... well, the whole thing actually

Wow, you have my utmost respect for doing that in Illustrator. I hate the program. Anyway, it's awesome, but maybe you could add the droid's shadow.

I personally really like the Mad Max setting. Small towns made from scrap metal, big fast cars pulled by camels, a society that was annihilated and is trying to pull itself together...

I'd like to participate in this. Since I've joined I want to do something post-apoc and maybe this is my chance. I also don't have an enormous pile of pieces, but I think I have enough for something like this.
-
Challenge accepted. And this is what I ended up with: I know it's not exactly small enough to be held by a Minifig, but I like it anyway :P Also, I only used parts from the mini Snowspeeder/AT-ST set.

That thing is really awesome. I want one! Also, about the acronym for Speederbike, I got as far as "Super Powerful Equine Enforcer". Maybe that'll help
-
Awesome. Although slightly creepy that that head matches so perfectly :P

That's awesome. The only comment though, when looking at the reference, is that his legs are kinda short. But that makes him look cute, so...

Them are some pretty cool weapons. I do agree though that the flamethrower should maybe have the fuel reserve on the Trooper's back.
-
And do you maybe have some better pictures of the weapon on the left? Anyway, the vehicle looks pretty cool.

I decided to make a walker from the 4486 Mini AT-ST and Snowspeeder set. And this is what I got: After going through Wookiepedia for a while I decided it's a Light All Terrain Personal Transport. It was kinda tricky making it with only the parts of that one set, and also since I didn't have any references, I mainly made it by just attaching bricks wherever they would fit. I think in the end it looks quite nice, except for the orange parts. And it's not really that stable. But besides that, I like it. Oh yeah, and I made this "cleaning droid" with the remaining parts. I can already see this swooshing down the halls of the Death Star, racing those little mouse droids and aggrevating the Stormies.

"Imperial hangover -Luckily the other Stormtroopers noticed John wasn't wearing his regulation armor just before the Emperor arrived." I think that sorta fits, if you consider the second picture you took as "the night before".

Not much I think. Have you ever seen them shoot? Or maybe Vader comes in every once in a while and Force chokes them if he finds their lack of sobriety disturbing.
-
The trench on the outside maybe? But that bike is looking awesome. Also, if all of a sudden I'm struck with inspiration, would you mind if I made my own Trooper appreciation day? I really like the idea.

I was planning on re-assembling all my minifigs, with the proper accesoires and stuff. Once I've done that I'll give an exact number but it's probably a little under 100.
