  1. I am hoping to attend. Just have to get the time off work.
  2. Im working on some Dragoons at the moment. Hopefully will have pics of them up soon.
  3. Earlier i posted some pics of the Trumpeter. Here are now some of the cavalry troopers of this famous regiment. The Czapskas or hats they are wearing again i ordered from shapeways(woodys designs) and painted them and added the cords and plumes.
  4. Ive now added the plumes to all the shakos of my infantry. Ive also completed the first of my Red Lancers. The main troop types are shown here like Grenadiers of the Guard, Line Grenadiers, Voltiguers and Chasseurs(light infantry). Tell us what you think.
  5. I will post some of the decals here soon woody
  6. Nice figure Thrash. I do like your hair design better out of the two.
  7. My army of custom Napoleonic soldiers continues to grow. I am now working on the cavalry regiments of the Imperial Guard and here is the first main figure. He is the Trumpet Major of the 2nd Red Lancers regiment. They had quite a spectacular uniform.
  8. I just used some red pipecleaners from a craft shop and cut them into small sections and glued them on.
  9. Awesome work on these buildings. Some great detail on every one of them.
  10. My idea is for a new faction linked to the current pirate theme. I have called it Empires and it is introducing more of the european armies such as the French, Austrian, Russian, American etc soldiers who were more involved in the Napoleonic Wars. The example i am showing here is of members of the French Imperial Guard Grenadiers(the Old Guard). The way their story links to the pirates theme is that the Emperor Napoleon is tired of the bungling by the Governor and Admirals in the way they are dealing with the pirates so he is sending in his elite troops to deal with them. So here he sends his Old Guard to fight the pirates. The theme can quite easily expand to include armies from other nations as the conflict will grow. Also more troop types can be made rather than just the traditional soldiers and marines. This could now include cavalry, light infantry and elite regiments. Sets for the theme would include- Impulse set Soldier on the march which would be a Grenadier with campfire cooking pot musket and sword. - The guard post as seen below - The cavalry attack with 2 cavalry soldiers fighting 2 pirates(or other soldiers) and a cannon. - Battle pack with 3 Grenadiers an officer and flagbearer or drummer - Fortress siege which is a fortress wall section with cannon emplacement and soldiers defending it against enemy troops. - The Campaign army which includes tents a flagpole and cookpots and soldiers and cavalry troops and a cannon with horse team. Cavalry Hussars and Chasseurs The bearskin hats come courtesy of shapeways and were designed by woody. I modified them to include the plume and cord decorations.
  11. I have made some new Soldiers of Napoleons imperial guard. These are members of the old guard. I like how the feather plumes turned out on the bearskin hats.Visit My Website
  12. Yeah it was the standard white flexible i ordered. The white is great as a base to paint on too
  13. Hey Woody. I just painted the hats. The surface was fine and i didnt think it needed any handling. And yes you can use these images on your website thats fine.
  14. Just folded and glued some paper and painted it. theyre meant to be the greatcoats which they rolled and wore wrapped around themselves in this fasion.
  15. Ive finally received from Shapeways some of the Napoleonic headwear woody designed. These first pics are of French Hussars and Chasseurs. I will post some pics soon of the Napoleons Imperial Guard using some more of his bearskin hats.Visit My Website
  16. They are always slow getting the new themes out down here. Ive only seen a couple of sets appear in the shops so far(mainly the impulse sets). Just have to order them online unfortunately when you cant wait
  17. The pouch on the back of the new soldiers uniforms is the same as used for ammunition only. This was common in armies of this period. The best way to use the backpack is when your soldiers are on campaign marching. If they are in port or at their barracks or on a ship they definately dont need to wear a backpack then.
  18. Usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes to make each one up
  19. Ive made all the decals on ms paint. I used to hand paint all my customs but the printed decals are much more neat
  20. Its actually very secure. I used some good craft glue and they have stuck on very well so you can still enjoy full use with them. The hardest part was sticking them on without getting glue all over the shakos
  21. I went looking for something i could use at craft shops. Ended up using some thread used for cross stitching. It came in different thicknesses so was perfect to use
  22. Yes these are still a WIP at this stage. final pics will be posted soon
  23. Visit My Website Here i have shown various soldiers uniforms i have made. Starting with an officer of Horse Grenadiers, An officer of a line company, Fusilier-Grenadiers of the Middle Guard, Voltiguers(light infantry), a General and Napoleon, Foot artillery, a Grenadier officer and Sapper, Trumpeter of Horse Grenadiers, and finally a Drummer. I think if TLC bring out blue coats next they should consider the dark blue torso colour. Looks more accurate for French soldiers.
  24. Heres my latest design for a French soldiers shako. Ive added the decorative cords that were mainly worn as part of parade dress. They were a bit tricky to glue onto the shakos but i think they came up looking good.Visit My Website
