  1. In the last picture, a gray plate behind the canon is not entirely pressed down.
  2. Nice article Richie. These indeed were some pretty decent designs, considering it was at the time Town Jr. was dominating our beloved mainstream town line. Along with the Divers subtheme, these were pretty much the only decent sets available during the time TLG seriously lost its way. The only thing I don't really like are the trans-dark-blue wind screens.
  3. Lgorlando, when were you going to present these here (found the pics on Brickshelf)? They look really good and I can't wait to get a more detailed look how they actually fit inside the building. This picture shows the modules going inside, but it somehow looks a little chaotic.
  4. Looks very nice. Your ship is getting bigger and bigger, certainly now that you've decided on a brick-built hull.
  5. That will be massive! Good luck on pulling it off.
  6. Sure... you have a second prize "shhh secret..." and Dennimator has a main prize "shhh secret..."
  7. It was a pretty entertaining program. As others have said, they could have spent some more time on the history of Lego, etc. The fact that they removed one brick on one side of the door was simply unacceptable : must have been a badly leveled floor.
  8. Great progress you're making. I like the cabins in the back. I was expecting the ship to look boring if you also did the cabins in black and white, but it works really well. This color scheme keeps growing on me. Looking forward to the rest of the fleet.
  9. He actually translated it 'manually'. The translation a few posts up is a Google Translate translation.
  10. Indeed, Dutch cable companies also carry BBC1 and BBC2. Just remember: it starts at 20.00 instead of 19.00 in The Netherlands...
  11. Really nice MOCs again Selander. I really like the combination of studs up and SNOT on the front of the truck (the only thing I dislike about it is the trans-neon-orange 1 x 1 round plate; I think it would look better with a trans-orange piece). The front-end loader looks really impressive.
  12. I guess this is not what you're looking for, but Aliencat has - for LowLUG - written an article about the modular building standard. It isn't a building style guide, but rather explains the stud dimensions of the modular standard. It's in Dutch, but the pictures speak for themselves.
  13. There were many great entries. Especially in terms of the impressiveness of the build. However, overall the entries were a little less original than the small and medium entries. So originality was a major factor in my decision. Cap'n Blackmoor - 4 I Scream Clone (a.k.a. Pooky) - 2 Derfal Cadarn - 1 (Izzy style™)
  14. Congratulations to the winners. Many more entries were more than worthy of winning.

    MOC: The Painter

 Very funny. The stream of paint flowing out of the barrel is a little 'wide' though: I'd stick with one brick 'thickness'.
  16. Good way to show of your town. Rosa's cantina looks much better in 3-D! I see you've removed the lion's heads from the soldier's tower: much better! I like this project even more than your confederate army series.
  17. Yeah sure, add some more work for CopMike...
  18. Or a junior TLG set designer. I assume the senior designers arrive by helicopter and limo.
  19. It looks pretty much 'finished' now (given you're not going to overhaul the chassis again, which I can imagine): especially the area around the back wheel looks much better now. You're allowed to move on...
  20. The exterior is very recognizable. I especially like the minifigs and the little garden, with all the foliage and the waterfall.
  21. Ralph_S *IS* the madphysicist. He should really keep his usernames the same across sites.
  22. Nothing goes unnoticed
  23. From what I understood of it, it's explicitly stated that you cannot make the information public, that's why it was removed. The 'eco-thing' has been removed at least 3 times that I saw, so it may be even more. Good thing that you point it out explicitly Siegy
  24. The off-road vehicle looks pretty decent, although TLG really needs to go 5-wide for these vehicles (I know: that's not going to happen). I'm having the same thoughts as most of you on the helicopter. It doesn't look badly designed at all, but it just has too many big pieces. Anyway, my fire brigade is already massive, so I'm not going to get any fire sets this year (or next year ).
  25. Thanks, I'll follow one (or a few) from the sideline first, I don't wanna come across to n00b-ish while playing...
