Collectible Minifigs: What's your favorite new part mold?
Rick replied to Rick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My favorite from series 2 is easily the mime's beret, although some other parts like the microphone, pop star's hair, and the beanie are welcome additions to the LEGO parts universe as well. Series 1 is harder. The 3L bar is a pretty important part and there are some really nice hairpieces released with series 1, not to mention the pom poms. Nurse's hair it is, I guess. -
Ouch! Great scene with lots of attention to detail.

* defends the southern border * Happy birthday Bonaparte!

Well the forestman shield in your tags is still an 'ISC exclusive', and as long as you keep that sigfig you'll be easily recognizable and green enough.

I saw this popping up on flickr immediately after BW. Great work on the display Stash. This is turning out to be a fine EB tradition.

The last Castle line also lasted longer than one wave and has brought a big knight's castle and a big troll's castle, so there's hope for a big(ger) Dragon knights castle in the next wave.

Collectible Minifigs: What's your favorite new part mold?
Rick posted a topic in Special LEGO Themes
The Collectible Minifig series have brought us a lot of new part molds. What's your favorite new element that is introduced in each of the two series so far? Please indicate your choices in the poll. Note: I'm not talking about prints. And I haven't included parts that have been slightly modified for the collectible minifig series, such as the bow and arrow and the chicken leg. Also, I haven't included parts that were introduced in series 1, such as the clown/afro hair, in the series 2 choices again. (And yes, I know that LEGO Club's 'Max' had the hair before the Skater, but it was introduced on a large scale with the collectible minifigs.) Series 1 (8683) Cheerleader's pom poms Caveman's club Caveman's hair and beard Clown's horn Clown's/'afro' hair Skater's hair Robot's helmet Magician's wand/3 studs long bar Nurse's syringe Nurse's hair Spaceman's ray gun Series 2 (8684) Karate Master's trophy Lifeguard's float Maraca Man's Mexican sombrero Marca Man's maraca Mime's beret Pharaoh's staff Pop star's microphone Pop star's hair Skier's beanie Skier's ski pole Skier's ski Spartan warrior's shield Spartan warrior's helmet Spartan warrior's spear Surfer's surf board Weightlifter's weight (just the weight, excluding the bar) -
You can view the building instructions of all recent sets on the LEGO building instructions website. That should give you all the information you need.

Eurobricks Raffle and Mystery Treasure Hunt
Rick replied to WhiteFang's topic in Forum Information and Help
No doubt that there will be at least 16 people who find them all. Thanks -
It's about the modularity of the build, i.e. it can be build in 'easy' sections, not about being 'modularly' compatible with other sets. Although the buildings in sets such as 8403, 7641, and 7633 are compatible in this way.

I like the variation and the posing of the figures around the fire. I can appreciate this type of army building.

Green looked better on you. Seriously, if I had to name one prototypical Fellow it would have been you. But that's no more... congratulations on your promotion ISC (assuming they didn't force you to take on the extra work )! I love Ice Cream Cones sooooo much right now!

I got tempted and I found two ahead of schedule as well... Yes, they're still there... waiting for you to find them. -
Very entertaining scene ISC. I really like the thought that went into every little detail. I really like your idea for 'integrating' the towels. The wave is amazing. And the sand-sculpting ancients and the mime-clam encounter are pretty funny.

It's probably because the last EB news episode I read took place in Draggy's castle.
-
Woohoo. Good to see EB news back again (most of the previous coverage predates my stay here) and nice to hear some more about Sandy! And finally: great scenery building...

These scenes in the catalogs always were so inspiring to me. Not just Pirates (I was slowly drifting into my dark ages in the early 1990s), but also the Town and Castle scenes. I can't understand they don't do them anymore, because they also serve a clear commercial purpose: "Look at the Town/Castle/Pirates scenes you can build when you own all these sets". This just doesn't come across in modern catalogs, because the interaction between sets is (hardly) not shown anymore.

Minifg collectors series 2 pics and barcodes
Rick replied to Superkalle's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Here's another source of European barcodes. It appears it is correct in the Brickset PDF though. -
I doubt it, because it's a Dutch website (in English obviously ).

His pictures are great, excellent photography/photoshop skills. Becky Needs to Pluck by powerpig, on Flickr

Welcome. Be sure to check out the Fabuland Builders Guild here on Eurobricks.

This is a really neat idea. The color scheme choices are great.

It's not the same, although there are similarities. (Both pictures from Bricklink, Spaceman's face on the left)
