  1. Excellent work. Your best modular yet in my view. I really like the use of the big curved window on the barber shop and the use of those mudguard pieces on the facade is inspired. But also the interior, especially that of the ground floor, turned out great.
  2. Not a stupid question, but it has an answer (scroll down to tags) that you could have easily found in one of the pinned topics in this forum.
  3. It's not like moving the lampposts is the most intrusive modification you can make to these sets. And if you want to get really nit-picky: the (single) lamp posts on the Cafe Corner and Grand Emporium aren't placed in the same spot as on the 'straight' modulars either.

Besides the lovely facades and the cars, I really like all the little details you put into this.
  5. I think that's what causes part of the confusion. When casually browsing an EB mafia game it may look like an RPG, but the role-playing part of the game is largely for fun and has little to do with the actual mafia game being played. And based on past experience, it usually doesn't end well for people over-doing the role-playing part of the game. And don't confuse role-playing with role-claiming, i.e. claiming to have a certain role in the game that you may or may not actually have (which is mostly done by players close to being lynched). This can be part of playing a mafia game. Although, as Hinckley pointed out, there has not yet been a player with a role that gets them tied up in the back of a bar.
  6. You're my hero :P

  7. Yay Amy! Happy Birthday.
  8. So, they made you do even more work besides those fabulous reviews? I miss the bold-green Rufus in the online list though. And I would have settled for nothing less than Cameron Crocodile (he's 'special' too) in that rank image. But I'm sure you'll make a great team with Fangy.
  9. Welkom / Welcome to Eurobricks! Plenty of modular madness around here.
  10. Congratulations wieners, ahem winners. I enjoyed all the great entries for this contest.
  11. It goes for avatars as well. From the Site Guidelines:
  12. 250 Idea Book or 260 Idea Book?
  13. Excellent review Rufus. I really like that these are becoming more and more detailed. Although a little more interior detailing would be nice as well (instead of that sound brick for example ).

  15. I was expecting two buildings with a bit more 'grandeur'. Partially this has to do with them not being as tall as the previous modulars (which you can see in the side-by-side shots). But I guess we're all pretty spoiled by this line. These are two great stand-alone buildings, with amazing exterior detailing, but especially with a lot of attention to the interior. Can't wait to order this set.

  17. Actually, I really like the idea that I can order it as soon as I see the pictures for a change.

  19. Happy birthday 'Blackie'.
  20. Looks like Brickset is more or less doing what is intended with the EB set index, namely including links to Eurobricks reviews in their set database.
  21. Brilliant MOC Rufus (looks like we have a winner ). I really like the architectural details and you really spent a lot of attention to the interior. The white tiles on the exterior may be a bit too bright, but the floor tiling outside and inside look very colorful. The car is great and I love the fold-down roof.
  22. Great new banner Hinck. The forum skin fits nicely too. Hey, a brown frog! (Am I picking up on the clues? )
  23. Most follow the modular buildings as inspiration. You can have a look at the building instructions of Cafe Corner (set number 10182), Market Street (10190), Green Grocer (10185), Fire Brigade (10197), and Grand Emporium (10211) on LEGO's building instructions website. The instructions are also accessible via Brickset (click the icon below the set number). But to answer your question: they use regular big plates connected by 2xX and 1xX plates from below.
  24. Great apartment building wooootles. I really like the architectural style you employed with alternating plastered and brick walls. It really creates variety on such a big structure. The interiors are also very creative.
  25. The article is linked in the FBG index.
