About Me
I have taken up Lego since I retired at new year.
I did this for two reasons; First, I wanted to make a remote controlled Renault Magnum like the one I used to drive a few years ago. Second, There is not a commercially available model of said truck.
Since I spent many hours doing Lego thirty odd years ago with my son, I imagined that I could build my truck relatively cheaply without having to manufacture loads of parts to fit with Wedico or Tamiya truck parts.....
4 months and £1000 later.... Anyway, the Magnum is now finished, along with two of the planned six trailers, as are a number of diggers and loaders in approximately the same scale that I have worked in, 1:17.3.
I plan to work in this scale, as realistic as possible, for the many things I have planned.
I spend a lot of time in China, my family is there, I plan to build some of the things I see there, 25m trailers etc.
