  1. I must have missed this, were there pics of the back of Crossbones and BP heads? Link?
  2. Thanks! The right helmet is from set SY279. One caveat, however, is that I painted it metallic silver. The one from the set comes in a regular blueish grey mold.
  3. Not irrational at all. Never understood the reason why they kept choosing an orange palette for Steve / Cap's hair.
  4. Not exactly from the side, but I can vouch that this combo works very well: Thor [VARIANTS] [MCU] [COMICS] [MOD] by agoodfella minifigs, on Flickr
  5. Not all of them are painted, if you read the description on my Flickr page for those figures, it breaks down fig by fig which ones were customized. TLG = The Lego Group, CMF = Collectible MiniFigures series Wow, fantastic collection. Sorry to see those go. As for the Bones, I think both the SY and DLP versions are great. I agree that the DLP version is far more detailed and a better representation of the actual Mark -- but for some reason (or perhaps because of the detail) it doesn't photograph that optimally.
  6. This is a very good summary. A couple of additional points: 1) One of the confusions surrounding WM is that even though there was never an official Mark 1 variant released -- TLG's first WM variant, Mark 2 (which is clearly printed on the torso) looks more like Mark 1 than Mark 2 (at least in color) 2) The other confusion is that there are actually 3 different Mark 2 variants (2 normal WM variants and the 3rd being Iron Patriot, which is technically still a WM variant -- hence the 002 designation). Confused yet? Continuing, the first Mark 2 which appeared in IM2 is more a darkish gun metal grey with dull grey highlights. The second Mark 2 (which I refer to as Mark 2.1) which appears in AoU is clearly black with grey / silver highlights 3) The CW variant -- Mark 3 -- continues the black / grey color scheme of the 2.1 with red accents in the arc reactor / eyes. At any rate, here are my variants as an illustration (from Left to Right: WM Mk 1, WM Mk 2, Rhodey, IP, WM Mk 2.1) War Machine / Iron Patriot / James "Rhodey" Rhodes [VARIANTS] [MOC] [MCU] by agoodfella minifigs, on Flickr
  7. Hi sorry, late to the party. Yes, War Machine 2.1 is a custom. Parts are kind of a "Franken-Bootleg" of parts. The shoulder / torso armor is a TLG piece from the CMF series -- I believe the latest TLG Batman v Superman also uses the same armor. Painted, no decals.
  8. Oh man, it would have been better with a full length coat... but oh well...
  9. Oh wow, just to confirm, Scarlet Witch comes with a loose fabric coat (i.e. not printed on the fig)? That is sweet!
  10. Brilliant mate, thank you for posting this, just placed an order from my son!
  11. Hey fellow MARVEL fans -- this is kind of off topic (but MARVEL Super Hero related so I figure this is the best place as any). I think it would be great to have a MARVEL badge (similar to the STAR WARS badge) -- how do we go about proposing this? Thanks all!
  12. Fantastic!
  13. Would be amazing to get Cap's chainmail variant -- it would be a shame that is another exclusive, but it would be awesome nonetheless.
  14. It's a bit hard to tell from the pics, but does Ghost Rider's torso have flames on them? That would be very cool...
  15. Hey Rob, I saw that Christo's Zebra Batman went for a crazy half grand ($500+) on eBay -- please tell me you paid less than that for yours mate!!
  16. Did anyone save any screenshots of it by any chance?
  17. Whats the new set number? Source? Thanks!
  18. Angel v.2: Angel v.2 [MOC] by agoodfella minifigs, on Flickr
  19. Beg to differ. Iron Spider played a significant role in Civil War -- one of the biggest (if not most important) MARVEL crossover event in recent memory, not to mention it's obvious relevance with CA: CW coming out.
  20. Has this been confirmed? Wow that sucks...
  21. Here is my understanding of the 2099 variants (others who are more well-versed please feel free to chime in): There is the "Classic" Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O'hara) is a (darkish) blue / red variant -- this is based off the "2099" Marvel universe which first came out in the early 90s. In the early 2000s, there was a video game called "Edge of Time" which featured a number of Spider variants -- but the main character was based off a 2099 variant. This featured a variant which was much darker darker blue (could even be black) -- and this is what most people call the "Edge of Time". I'd be also curious to hear what other people's thoughts are. At any rate, here are my variants: Spider-Verse v.1 [GROUPS] [VARIANTS] by agoodfella minifigs, on Flickr
  22. Big Time Spidey. I'm generally not a fan of trans figs, but I gotta admit, that 2099 one is pretty sweet.
