  1. It actually looks very little like Jolteon in general. The collar spikes are wayyyy too small so as to be unrecognisable. Smart Tumor, that'll be the latest evolution.
  2. Yup. Look, maybe it's just me. I was definitely called an "old soul" as a kid. But I definitely cared deeply about aesthetics and would've hated how these look with the silly bricks slapped on their fronts so brazenly. Especially because we know from all the people testing the SW ones in hand that the bricks don't need to be out in the open to sense each other, or even have any external light for their light sensors to work! I partially get what they're going for - the bricks are supposed to be easily swappable, and perhaps more importantly, kids need to be able to easily rip them off to pop on the charger when they run out of battery in 40 minutes or less (or don't wake up when shaken after one play session despite supposedly still having charge). But goodness, what a strange and ugly integration they've cooked up. Also makes me wonder where the bricks go on the Pokemon "smart play compatible" sets, since those builds look complete without smart holes.
  3. A Smart Play all in one set has been leaked. What I find fascinating (and I'd say definitely deliberate) is that the box doesn't actually show what the two Pokemon will look like with their Smart Bricks without graphics obscuring them. You can kind of see on Jolteon, but not really on Charizard. And will they include extra parts for covering the Smart Holes if/when you take the bricks out?? They better.
  4. Do we have confirmed prices for these yet? Personally, maybe it's because I'm not a Pokemon fan, but these looks really cute and recognisable to me. They've clearly chosen a design direction rather than just trying to replicate the characters as closely as possible, and that's working for me. Perhaps I was primed for this by the Mario stuff, which took me some time to warm up to, but I ultimately did. I can completely see why they're moving away from the Mario system now though, because overall these are very similar and it would be risky to have both on shelves.
  5. Finally got around to posting my January Pick a Brick order (combined with a bunch of parts I found in a BaM in Sydney): https://www.instagram.com/p/DYZufcJp0ur/?igsh=MWIydjZvbDF3YTljYQ== At the time a couple of the leg pieces for the knights were out of stock, but that will be rectified in my May.
  6. Lucky ducks! I also ordered on the 11th and it's In Warehouse, but they probably wait for more orders to pile up to Australia before they send them off.
  7. I know, which is why I'm saying that I'm pleased that they didn't keep it that way as a fetch quest, and are instead apparently releasing the whole figure so people who didn't get the torsos in BAM or the tanks in the set or PaB can get it in one go. That's pro-consumer, as opposed to the way they dripped out the purple and dark blue parts. They also haven't rereleased the regular green torso and tanks, the black torso, or the blue torso with a non-faded logo, all of which I really think they should do. I myself have them, but it'd be nice if everyday people could access them directly from LEGO without having to go to the secondary market. That's a cool theory about them going for all of the colours in Everyone is Awesome though. The green torso released what feels like so long ago at this point. I was quick to get some on Bricks and Pieces back then, but I never would've imagined that they'd do a redux of the classic space helmet, nor so many new colours. LEGO has gotten quite different in the past decade though.
  8. It's good to hear they are making that one available in its entirety and not making it another fetch quest or keeping the torso locked behind BAM, which isn't readily accessible to everyone. I'm confused why they keep doing blue hues though. It's making the rainbow quite imbalanced! I'd like some more red/orange/yellow adjacent colour (the highlighter yellow or new reddish orange could be snazzy), and would also like a pearl silver to complement the pearl gold, along with a proper light or dark grey one.
  9. Perhaps Zusammengebaut's formatting would work better for you (using translation if you don't speak German, although the link click throughs are mainly just numbers and prices)? Not sure, just thought I'd suggest it in case: https://zusammengebaut.com/lego-pick-a-brick-mai-update-fast-950-neue-teile-angekuendigt-225745/ Yes the Dreamzzz creatures weren't added sadly and strangely. The animals are primarily a bunch of Friends ones, along with the white pigeon, the dark tan little bird and two variants of the sand blue little bird, with and without orange on the chest.
  10. I sorted by "new" and found pretty much everything new that I thought I wanted. Some stupidly high prices on a few hairpieces, like (in AUD) $4.08 for the two hair moulds exclusive to the Creel House, and $6.66 for the Friends hair with sun visor parts. No surprise the new Dreamzzz swords are the very high $5.32 a piece here. Those prices made those parts a pass from me. The tandem bicycle coming in at $5.32 surprised me honestly, as it's not dual moulded or anything. Seemed like a lot but I still went for one of those, as it'll fit in one of my displays (and I have fond memories of riding a tandem as a kid). The bird prices are about in line with my expectations and not ridiculous. What are people most looking forward to grabbing?
  11. I'm annoyed that the dark orange tin man/tagine hats aren't in the list provided to New E. Really wanted to grab some of those. I'm pretty sure back in the day when the Wizard of Oz characters originally appeared in the LEGO Movie 2 CMF that the tin man hat showed up on B&P, one of those weird CMF parts to do so after CMF production moved to Europe. Feels weird if they've now decided that part is IP locked or whatever.
  12. Either he's an old elf, or its supposed to be casual Santa but then they felt like they had to put kitted out Santa too. Some excellent new animals around. I for one can't wait until that doe mould is done in natural colours. Surely it's got to. Love the SW doggo too, but I'm unlikely to get that one given the price of the set.
  13. I can't believe after all this time that they still have that terrible split system for the US market. Literally the entire rest of the world doesn't have any differentiation any more, and hasn't for quite a while. Feel for you both - hopefully you can still get the torsos eventually!
  14. I'm excited to see a bridge set. Personally, Star Trek would be very well suited for a midi "Starship Collection" scale line (with some minifgs included of course). Doing big ships, there's no way they'll do even close to everything people would want, but at midi scale they can pump out ships from all different factions and shows and get through quite a lot, IMO.
  15. I just noticed that the preview Mario figure has regular size legs. That's a bit weird. I would've thought they'd give Mario mid legs so he'd be shorter than the likes of Luigi and Peach. I can't see them doing the Toy Story/Avatar limbs for Luigi.
