  1. Some of you may remember my last failed attempt at creating the famous school of witchcraft and wizardry(and if you haven't, look in my signature). So, since I don't have the pieces to make Hogwarts how I would like it to look, I've made it in LEGO Digital Designer! This is only a W.I.P. so it's not finished yet, but while I am building it there are some things I am uncertain about, so I want to hear your thoughts about it. Main View: This is the main image, as you can see little of the castle is actually finished, but the greenhouse is completely finished, and Hagrid's Hut just needs a roof. The Forbidden Forest on the otherhand... Update 1; 4/13/2011: The main entrance has been started, now that the correct door is there I can make it. The Black Lake has been started, but it is pretty far from completion. The Great Hall is going to be next to the lake where those rocks are, which will also be where the kitchens are. As you can see there is an extra layer of baseplates that the Great Hall is now on. Update 2; 4/16/2011: The Black Lake is now finished. Gryffindor Tower is completed, as well as the Transfiguration Classroom. Update 3; 6/5/2011: I have finished Ravenclaw Tower, and the Entrance Hall only needs a roof. I also added a stain glass window with the house colors, which is above the Hogwarts Crest. The History of Magic Classroom is also finished. Update 4; 6/8/2011: As you can see, this is probably the biggest update yet. I have added a lot of new baseplates for a bigger Black Lake, as well as the boathouse, which is finished. Update 5; 6/18/2011: I have finished the kitchens, and I will now start the Great Hall. The potions classroom is also completed. Update 6; 6/28/2011: I have almost finished the Great Hall, all it needs is the roof. There are also some extra empty rooms that I don't know what I should put in them. Update 7; 7/8/2011: The Great Hall still needs a roof, but now the Quidditch Pitch just needs some finishing details and it will be done! Update 8; 9/17/2011: As you can see, a lot has been added since my last update over two months ago! The only interior design added, however, is the library. Forbidden Forest: I do like the trees I've built, but it is still far from finished. Hagrid's Hut: All Hagrid's Hut needs is a roof, so it is almost finished. It does have a front and back door. The back door leads to his pumpkin patch and the Forbidden Forest. It also has an interior, which I waill show you when I am completely finished. Greenhouse: The greenhouse was the first thing I built. I tried to have glass all over the walls, which I think I accomplished nicely, I used SNOT to make the roof, which you can see better in this picture: picture There are lots of magical plants inside, which you can kind of see in the top view. Hufflepuff Common Room: The Hufflepuff Common Room has a nice warm fireplace on the one wall, as well as a table with a letter and a goblet on it. Susan Bones is sitting on the sofa, and Cedric Diggory is in his school uniform ready for class. Charms Classroom: Professor Flitwick is at the Front of the Charms Classroom standing on a pile of books. There are three long tables with chairs in front of him. Second Floor Bridge Corridor: The Second Floor Bridge Corridor links this small section of Hogwarts to the larger side via a bridge. There are many statues here, as well as two suits of armor. Note: the statues on the right side aren't finished. Defence Against the Dark Arts Classroom: The Defence Against the Dark Arts Classroom has a desk for the teacher at the front of the room. There are also two desks with parchment and a bottles of ink on them. Defence Against the Dark Arts Office: The Defence Against the Dark Arts Office has a desk with a letter and a bottle of ink on it. There is a chair in front of the desk for a student to sit. There is also a table with a skull and a brain in cases on the right side of the room. Filch's Office: Filch's Office has crates of things he has confiscated from students on the left side. There is a shelf with student discipline files on it. Filch's desk has a Kwikspell letter, parchment, and a bottle of ink on it. Behind his desk is a chest of confiscated items. Hanging from the cieling are chains that used to be used to punish students. Second Floor Bridge: This is the bridge that is on the second floor. It is connected to the Second Floor Bridge Corridor. Gate to the Quidditch Pitch: This is the gate that will lead to the Quidditch Pitch (I am considering having this be the entrance to Hogsmead, which I don't think I will make, so I want to hear what you think it should be. If I make the entrance to Hogsmeade it wall have the winged boars on it). Update 1; 4/13/2011: The Black Lake: As I said in the update the Black Lake is far from finished, so only a little bit is finished. The Kitchens: This is where the kitchens will be. It will have no windows since it is under that rock layer that the Great Hall will be under. The roof is low since it is for house elves, but minifigures can still stand. Main Entrance: Now that LEGO Digital Designer has that door piece I can make doors in Hogwarts, and I think I will change the doors in Hagrid's Hut to that kind of door. Update 2; 4/16/2011: The Black Lake: The Black Lake is now done. I used lighter blue around the edge to make it look shallow. Path to Hagrid's Hut: This is the small stone path that leads to Hagrid's Hut. Transfiguration Classroom: This is the Transfiguration Classroom. Professor McGonnagall's Desk is at the front of the room. Above her desk is a small storage area. Quidditch Supply Room: The Quidditch Supply Room has a trunk with the Quidditch balls in it, some barrels, and a mannequin with Quidditch robes on it. Gryffindor Bridge Corridor: The Gryffindor Bridge Corridor has two suits of armor on either side of the bridge. Colin Creevy appears to be late for class! Gryffindor Common Room: This is the Gryffindor Common Room. There is an armchair across from the couch. In between those is a table with a glass. Percy Weasley is ready for his next class. Gryffindor Girls Dormitory: The Gryffindor Girls Dormitory has four four-poster beds, with a bedside table for each. Lavender Brown has slept in very late today. Gryffindor Boys Dormitory: The Gryffindor Boys Dormitory is the same as the girls dormitory. Update 3; 6/5/2011 Entrance Hall: This is the exterior of the Entrance Hall, to see the interior click HERE. Above the door is the Hogwarts Crest, and above that is a stain glass window with all the house colors. Ravenclaw Common Room: In the Ravenclaw Common Room we find Cho Chang performing some spells. This common room is very similar to the others, except for the cieling, which has a star pattern on it. Ravenclaw Dormatories: The Ravenclaw Dormatories are almost identical to the Gryffindor Dormatories, except blue and grey instead of red and yellow. History of Magic Classroom: This is the History of Magic Classroom, Proffessor Binns (a ghost) is standing (floating?) behind his desk at the head of the room. Behind him is a chalkboard. Update 4; 6/8/2011 Boathouse: Here we have the boathouse. This small section of Hogwarts is where the boats that carry the First Years are kept. From this view you can also see part of the expanded Black Lake. Update 5; 6/18/2011 Kitchens: The kitchens have a lower ceiling than the other rooms in Hogwarts because the house elves work there and they aren't as tall as a wizard. There are four tables that are in t5he same position as the four house tables in the Great Hall. There are also two stoves on the far side of the kitchens. Potions Classroom: The potions classroom has two tables for all the students to mix potions at. There is also two shelves full of potions and potion ingredients. Update 6; 6/28/2011 Great Hall: The Great Hall has red and yellow stain glass windows on the walls, the larger window is behind the teachers table. The four house tables have benches for all the students to sit at. Update 7; 7/8/2011 Quidditch Pitch: The Quidditch has a tower colored for each house, and two with Hogwarts colors. On one of the Hogwarts towers there is a place for the announcer of the match, which has a megaphone and the scoreboard. Update 8; 9/17/2011 The Library: The library is a place for student to study, read interesting books, or just hang out with their friends. There is a large circular table on the left of the room for doing any of those things. On the right, however, there is a desk for Madam Pince, the librarian, to work at.
  2. Darn it! I was hoping for a new Triwizard Tournament First Task Harry, but this is still awsome. And now we have a minifig only from the fourth book/film. I do agree with Nick Wolfe that he should have a cape, but it would be impractical as it would get wrinkled in the little pocket, plus I can always buy a black cape off Bricklink. Wedding set hmm...I love the idea! Edit: I just watched Goblet of Fire yesterday and Harry's dress robes look a lot different, so maybe this is Harry from the wedding?
  3. I hope he is included in that set, too! He is my all-time favorite character! (Is that from the 3DS? If so then it has superb graphic quality, especially for a DS game.)
  4. That Battle for Hogwarts is a must buy for me. It will make a perfect addition to the 2010 Hogwarts Castle, and all those minifigs look great. Is it just me or does Neville's face look more like Goyle? The Kinght Bus also looks excellent, I'm definately going to buy that (I missed out on the last one, and Prisoner of Azakaban is my favorite of the series) I just hope that the Shrunken Head is an actual headpiece. The Forbidden Forest is just wow, two minifigs that appear in the more expensive sets, and an exclusive minifig (Oh, and Harry. )
  5. It looks like it's saying something about how LEGO moulds detailed pieces like Kit Fisto's headpiece. (Kit Fisto was the first minifig to use that rubbery material because it holds detail better.) (Could somebody make the picture bigger, then we could read what it says and we would know for sure why he's there.)
  6. After considering what you said (and looking at the picture I recently added) I have to agree with you, Ginny's hair would be much better, and then we would have that piece in a new color. (Finally changed my avatar[too bad it's too late for the avatar contest{and Harry Potter month in general.}])
  7. Cho Chang in Hogwarts school uniform would be really cool, she would use Ginny's hair in black, Princess Tamina's head (that way the double sided head could be for when she gets angry at Harry in the fifth book), a Ravenclaw torso and black legs. Fleur Delacour in Second task uniform would be a great addition to the Attack of the Merpeople set and would be like the lifeguard from the collectible minifigs, but with a light blue swimsuit , long blond hair and a double-sided head with bubble-head charm on one side.(You wouldn't see her mouth with the bubble-head charm side, like in this picture)
  8. I love what you've done to it. This looks so much better than the original one you made. The cellar looks really nice, do I spy the trap door? The cash register looks cool with all the Galleons next to it. That lollipop spinning thing looks cool, great use of that odd spiral piece. The only gripe I have with it is that if anyone wants to leave the store, they fall off the edge of the stairs. Too bad this is what I was planning to do for the contest(but you beat me too it! )
  9. These look amazing, just like the movie. Would it be possible for you to make an orange male torso for Bobby Buoy and a red male torso for Axel Storm, I'm already going to use the yellow one for Dr. Brains.
  10. Wow. I'm speechless. This is a really amazing MoC. Only one question: how is it supposed to fight the Atlantean Warriors if it has no weapons! How do you get the subs on the side to stay on, I can't see any connection point? The little Servo Backpack is awesome, I think I might have to make one for my divers. The walker could use some work, but like you said you only built it because you couldn't find the divers legs.
  11. ...When you want to be buried in a LEGO coffin.
  12. Thank You, now all I have to do is find a store that has that DVD in stock. I've been looking for it for a while.
  13. I wanted to know if anybody knew if the Atlantis movie was going to be released on DVD? I really hop there will be because Atlantis is one of my favorite themes(right after BIONICLE and Harry Potter) and I loved that movie.
  14. Why did Atlantis not get a videogame! On the up side I am glad that LEGO is releasing a LEGO Battles sequel, the first one seemed fairly good and this one looks even better.
  15. I have been searching for the collectible minifigures series for a while now and I can't seem to find any, could someone tell me where to find them.
  16. 3 more days! How funny that my first LEGO exclusive will be my first new line Harry Potter set. I hope the Sorcerer's Stone isn't going to be a red Power Miners crystal, the original version would be better. I do wonder how those pillars on Gringotts stay tilted like that.
  17. If you look really closely at the yellowed image it kind of looks like a new Triwizard Tournament 1st Task version of Harry.
  18. How easy is it to motorize the new Hogwarts Express? I plan on putting it on my layout, but if it needs to be seriously modified I might not even bother buying it.
  19. Are these designed to go on any specific size tiles(2x2,2x4,etc.)and if so which size? I was really hoping to use these, but don't know what size they would look best.
  20. Where are the secret sparkles! I can't seem to find any and I'm guessing that is how you found the CoS poster.
  21. Looks interesting. I might have to get it.(after all I have yet to have a complete Harry minifig)And I have two games that don't fit in my case, so this is perfect! I will probably get multiples.
  22. I like how the building looks, but why are the pictures at all different andles(sideways). Looking foward to seeing clearer pictures.
  23. Here's mine: Halloween avatar It's my sigfig being chased by a ghoslty horserider. The light on the ground is the moonlight(It makes the minifigs more visible).
  24. I don't get nicktoons and I was wondering if anybody has an english recording of the Hero Factory TV show.
  25. That is a really nice MoC! I like how you added the Marauder's Map set into it! Is the room at the bottom Filch's office? If it is really nice job with the book accurate details like the chains. (They gave it away for me)
